I have visited this hotel several times over the last 20 years and the location is excellent. The price is also pretty competitive especially for the Mandarin brand.

The property is starting to look tired and dated. The rooms/bathrooms have not changed in 20 years and given the scale of construction work in KL and all the new hotels…this needs attention. The staff at the pool restaurant were not particularly attentive…after waiting 15 minutes, I went and got my own menu. After another 10 minutes, I flagged down a waiter to take my order. After another 10 minutes, I noticed my drink sat on the bar…I waited a few minutes before going to get it myself. This is poor service. I would also like to note, that the quality and taste of the food was mediocre at best. The uniforms of the staff at the pool restaurant were grubby and the makeshift steps to the various seating areas were shabby.

I booked a pickup on Mandarin's website from the airport - the car did not turn up! Once we finally arrived there was a queue at Reception. When I was finally served there was a problem with the booking - I had booked twin beds and the receptionist had it down as king size. The problem was obviously too difficult for her to handle and I was asked to take a seat. That was after she argued that I would have to pay extra for twin beds - I had a confirmation saying "twin beds" so I argued that would not be the case. After 20 minutes nothing happened and I arose and returned to Reception advising that I was exhausted and needed the room. The receptionist fiddled around and at last we had our room. Leaving was also a problem due to CNY and the lion dance. We could not leave. Finally, I tripped on some poles that were there for acrobats and fell to the ground, The Concierge helped me up and offered water. I am 76 and have stayed previously and found the whole ordeal unsatisfactory.

- Classic wash basin mixer (dual handle mixer), which is not my favorite. - Lack of complimentary mineral bottled water, only filtered tap water provided in room. - No self-service coffee machine in the breakfast restaurant, only by order. - Little to no seating area in the lobby.

Лучшее месторасположение! Окна нашего номера выходили прямо в парк. И вечером мы могли из окна смотреть шоу танцующих фонтанов :) Очень клиентоориентированный персонал. Готовы быстро решить все задачи, знают гостей по имени и всегда радушны. Прекрасный ресторан Mandarin grill. Просто восторг!

Немного уставшие номера. Вентиляция была немного более шумной, чем ожидалось. Фен в ванной не включишь, нет для него розетки. Пора делать реновацию :)
