Place was ok. Had water leaks in the house. Communication with the host sucked. There excursion book was basically false advertising as we never could get a hold of anyone. Would not stay again. Host was very nice just did not communicate well.

The view was great, ocean view, ok neighborhood, the house need renovation, there are cracks on the walls, and the pool has cracks also, there seem to be water intrusion. The sheets were clean but under them mattresses were dirty, the laundry room needs updating too, there is no private beach. The closest is a public beach 10 min from there.

Let me start by saying our group has traveled all over the islands and stayed at several VRBO homes, so we are not new to this. The pictures posted of this home must be quite old because the house is far from this pristine. When we arrived there was no one there to greet us, but the door was unlocked so we let ourselves in. The house manager showed up shortly after and seemed bothered that we let ourselves in the house. She quickly went through points of interest, restaurants, etc... and showed us around the house. The house smelled very musty so we opened all the doors and windows to get a breeze. She did tell us to lock all the doors and windows, but we didn't realize we had to do that while we were in the house. Our second night there, we locked up the all the downstairs door and windows and went to bed. On the second floor of the house two of the bedrooms face the ocean. We left balcony doors open to enjoy the breeze. We were burgularized while we were sleeping. Someone came into our rooms while we were asleep and stole $2500 cash. We called the police. We found out that they gained access to second floor balconies by a ladder that was "accidently" left on the side of the balcony. The whole thing was very shady and appeared to have some kind of inside involvement. Obviously, that set the tone for the rest of our trip. Other complaints of the house are: 1. Alarm system doesn't work. 2. None of the outside lights at the front door work. 3. Each of us had only 1 bath towel to use for the entire week. 4. Lightbulbs out througout the house. 5. One of the glass shower doors fell off the hinges the first time being used. Management sent someone to fix it, but it fell off again the next time it was used. 6. Some of the wooden patio chaise lounges are rotten, falling apart, and dangerous. 7. Pool light didn't work. 8. Most of the door casings holding the glass french doors are rotten. One good tug and you can pull the locked doors open. One set of doors we were told not to touch at all. 9. Kitchen was sparsely equipped with limited dishes and glasses. 10. Overall cleanliness and attention to detail in this house is lacking. Location of the house is good. Within walking distance to several good restaurants, shops, and liquor store.

Our vacation was terrifying when on our 2nd night there we inadvertently forgot to lock the door for the second floor master bedroom balcony. In the middle of the night a thief climbed up and was in the master bedroom while we slept. He stole approximately $500 cash which we realized the following morning after locating my husband’s pants and stripped wallet outside. Luckily we were unharmed, however, we felt unsafe keeping our children there any longer. The following morning we reported the burglary to the management company at 7:30 AM. The property manager took 4 hours to arrive with the police. We decided to move to a resort for our safety. They wouldn’t refund us that day’s stay because we were in the property until noon. We couldn’t have left as we were waiting for the manager to arrive. We were repeatedly told she was on her way. Of course, the cameras on the house were not functioning. We are disappointed in the management company’s safety protocol and response to the burglary. I would not ever recommend renting from Bahamas Vacation Club.

Really love the Bahamas and this was a spectacular view with privacy and great location. Overall was a good holiday. Improvements would included, water pressure as there was only a trickle in the showers. Awning out front in pic is not there. Asked why, said it must have blown down. Asked for lighter for barbeque and umbrella for outside deck. Said sure, never got them. Follow up on dangerous rotted deck lounge was couple day's latter which I thought was lackadaisical for point of injury hazard. Paid for pickup at airport and food and liquor pickup when we arrived. they never came. Got money back but delayed the holiday for an hour.
