Oven's broke no dining experience!!

The breakfast was fabulous. The gentleman serving this morning was courteous and attentive.

I'm sorry to have to post negative comments about my stay. My intention was to speak to someone when I checked out this morning (6/1/23) but unfortunately the receptionist was so engrossed in looking through a friend's photographs she paid me next to no attention. There was no wi-fi available in room 7. The bath plug was broken so after filling the bath it was almost impossible to get the plug back out.

room was very dated. got charged an extra £15 for an early check in that I wasn’t made aware of when they let us have the room an hour early (we were there for a wedding and only used the room to put our bags in at the time). no information given for the breakfast times. tried to call reception in the morning and the phone in the room didn’t work (room 38). went down for breakfast at 9:45 and was told it ended at 9:30. The bar was also understaffed in the afternoon for the wedding. approx 80 guest and 1 bar maid. Messaged the hotel about all the above and didn’t receive a reply

room was old fashioned was next to wedding reception or above so felt like we were in a race and somebody entered my room with a key at 1130 and was woken to altercation on corridor on two occasions

Slightly old fashioned, very comfortable and made very welcome.

Not much really, a pleasant place to stay. May be best to avoid weekend wedding parties, having said that we stayed when there was a party and did not find the room that noisy.

The hotel it’s self is very nice. Breakfast was delicious and good choices.

The room we were in was extremely dated. lots of cobwebs, door frame coming away from the wall. flicking lights in the bathroom. the furniture was very old and tatty. You can have an old style room, but it be clean and presentable. very disappointed considering the price of the room.

only downside was the mattress was not wonderfully comfortable

restaurant shuts too early. water pressure is so low it’s not worth having a shower!

Hotel and grounds, pool was nice, gym looked good but didn't use, breakfast, staff were pleasant.

No heating in bedroom due to boiler problem - no attempt by staff to inform us or even push a note under the door to explain - no communication or extra blankets offered. Steam room and sauna not working. No information in room regards dining times, pool etc had to ask staff and they already had enough to do.

very old rooms only had side lamps in my room couldn’t do my makeup properly was too dark asked to be moved to different room give me a cottage style which was more modern had more lighting, TV remote needed new batteries couldn’t change Chanel over, had no wifi tried calling reception 20 times answering machine was on.

Got engaged on tbe grounds and everything was perfect! On arrival the reception staff was very polite and showed us to the cottages we stayed in cottage 39. Beautiful and clean room! Very vintage hotel. Grounds are gorgeous! My partner proposed in the day on the grounds in the pods and when the staff found this out they made it perfect, felt the staff were celebrating with us! We had the fillet steak and Ben the chef cooked it perfect, on top of the gorgeous main and dessert the staff then brought us a glass of champagne! In the evening Ben the chef congratulated us personally. The bar staff and waitress Cath, Jack and Scott were very polite and helped to make the evening a joyful and a memorable one.

Very disappointed there was a wedding on which we were not informed of but was told would finish at 11pm It was still going on at 3am shouting music Even if they put us the other side of the hotel it wouldn't have berm soo bad but couldn't even complain as noone was answering reception

awesome staff, setting and breakfast! The gardens were beautiful and the pool was great too!
