Friendly staff, quiet location, peaceful patio/garden space, free access to the YMCA just a few blocks away, a spacious room with a microwave and fridge--it all made for a wonderful stay.
I'd forgotten how much smoking is still the thing in Richmond. People smoking out on their balconies with the nasty smoke drifting down into the shared garden space was an annoyance. I'm surprised it wasn't a non-smoking place, given how old (and wooden) many of the buildings are. To be fair, this is a problem throughout the city and not specific to Linden Row Inn.

The reception desk has amazing staff, who are friendly and very helpful. The rooms are beautiful, clean and very comfortable bed. Location is close to wonderful restaurants, and activities in downtown Richmond.

The location was pretty good
This was called a budget double queen room. We chose this because we wanted 2 queen size beds and NOT because it was a budget price as it was pretty much the same price as other rooms. The room itself needed some attention. The wallpaper was peeling, the baseboard in the bathroom near the heater was dirty and the windows were also dirty. It looked a bit "seedy" to us. The linens, towels, sink, shower & toilet were very clean. The exterior of the building itself needed repair in certain areas. We were not impressed.
