Amazing view, the staff are brilliant, very kind and generous. Even if you checked out or come back for missing items they will treat you really well

Only complaint is the cleaners didn’t clean our room and when called the receptionist to get cleaners to clean our room, they still didn’t clean the room properly and didn’t empty any rubbish

both hot tubs and the steam room was not working. service was very slow, we sat in the lobby and ordered drinks and waited over an hour. when we reminded them, they acted like we had not ordered anything

This hotel compound is AMAZING! Definitely one of the best in Lijiang, massive value for money. Our room was huge, like a small apartment - with beautiful ancient Chinese interior design. It feels like a true Lijiang experience, with gorgeous architecture and the design of the villa compound. Conveniently located right next to Old Town (take the side door). The side door takes you to a quieter area of Old Town (still has all the same stuff, but with fewer crowds). Having the hotel close to the road makes it possible to travel out of Lijiang for day trips easily. Has a gym, pool, good restaurants, a cafe with mountain views....you really couldn't ask for any more. Also this is the first hotel I've seen in China give your multiple free soft drinks with your room, it's a nice touch. They also give you authentic Yunnan tea and a tea set in your room to really round out the experience.

Maybe that that location is on the quiet side of old town instead of the nightlife district (nothing a 15 minute walk won't solve) - but the nightlife district isn't really why people go to Lijiang, so it wouldn't be an issue for most people.

It was covid period and I could not checkin in the hotel when I arrived. The staff immediately took me to a sister hotel, which was a walking distance. The hotel was also high quality facilities. Both hotels have prime location by the old town

I could not stay at Intercontinental and they relocated me to another hotel. They should have kept the same day rates as Intercontinental. The alternative hotel was more expensive

The hotel is at a great location just near the ancient city. The lounge bar has the most amazing view of the Jade Dragon Mountain, and it is a great place to have a coffee or a drink both during the day or in the evening. The room is very comfortable, the bathtub is amazing, the whole room feels like a home and cozy. The hotel was great to organize a car to take me to the mountain, with a driver very trustful all day. I would definitely come back to the hotel.

The only issues I had were that my room was much closer to the north gate to the ancient city, but it was closed due to covid. The other issue was the menu for Basil restaurant is very restricted, one of the shortest menus I have seen in a long time.

Our stay was great overall. We arrived a little before our planned arrival and our room was ready. The room was great. We had a junior executive room with a shared patio seating area. Everything in the room was top level. The bed was amazing, it was large and very comfortable. The bathroom had a separate shower and toilet areas along with a bathtub on the other side of the bedroom area. All of these things were very clean and worked as you expect them to do. The sitting/TV area had a very comfortable sofa, coffee table and two additional chairs. It wasn't overcrowded with furniture and had just enough space to easily walk past. The windows had blackout curtains which was very nice. The coffee maker and water were well stocked. And there was a useful desk area with a wired internet connection. The patio area was nice and quiet as well. The breakfast buffet was decent. It was what you'd expect from a hotel in this price range. It wasn't amazing but it was fine. I also want to mention that the staff were very accommodating. Any issues we had were addressed quickly.

During our stay there were two things that were a bit disappointing during our stay. One was the fact that the exec
