Our cottage is a freshly renovated, 2 bedroom, 3/4 bath home located in a quiet neighborhood near St. George's School. The house is in a fantastic location: choose from three nearby beaches, all within 1 to 2 miles; the Cliff Walk is 1.5 miles away, and downtown Newport is 2 miles away. Flo's Clam Shack, Atlantic Grille and Tickets Bar and Grille are all within walking distance. The house is fully furnished and has a comfortable open layout. The master bedroom features a queen size bed and the second bedroom has two twin beds. The kitchen is fully stocked with high quality cookware and brand new appliances, including a dishwasher and disposal. Also in unit is a washer and dryer. The house can accommodate up to 4 people. There is off street parking and a large backyard with a gas grill. Outdoor shower and patio with picnic table was added in 2019. The house has central air conditioning. The house was clean. It’s very important to us. Well appointed with utensils, nice towels and adorable polka dieted sheets. We loved the white and blue decor throughout the house. Quilts were so nice. Neighborhood was quiet. Beach was down the street. Parking was reasonable at the beach. Only downside was the smell of low tide.

My partner and I came up for our sons graduation and wanted something near Newport but without the Newport prices - this house fit the bill. The house was cute and clean and the location is within walking distance to multiple restaurants. We didn’t use the kitchen much but it seemed pretty well stocked. Checking in and out was easy and the owner checked in to see if we needed anything (we didn’t). Overall, no issues and I would stay here again.

This cottage didn’t disappoint. It was clean, well stocked, and the perfect size for the 3 of us. The beds & furniture were comfortable and cozy. The neighborhood is safe and within minutes of everything. We would love to come back.

Owner was very helpful. Property is well kept and well stocked. Very convenient to 2 beaches that you can walk to rather than pay for parking. Also easy walk to the mansions & cliff walk. Large grocery store less than 2 miles away.

The house was newly renovated, well equipped and very clean. Its walking distance to First beach and you can get to Newport center in 5 mins by car. Also i the cottage is a quiet neighborhood. We will plan to rent again.

Very clean and comfortable house — felt like home! Kitchen was well furnished and linens and towels were like new. The neighborhood was very quiet and within walking distance to beach and restaurants. Jackie was most helpful in answering all our questions and was a perfect host!

This cottage was perfect as a base for our sailing trip. It was easy to get into Newport and a quick drive to Sail Newport. It has all the amenities we needed and was super clean. The bbq was great for a change from Eating out. Would definitely stay again.. highly recommended!

Hope to stay again!We did arrive after dark and we had a little trouble determining exactly which house it was on the street - due to no exterior lighting we couldn’t see the house number. Other than that it was great! Loved the outside shower!

The house is nicely renovated and comfortable. It's well-appointed with nice towels, sheets, and all we needed in the kitchen. We enjoyed having the outdoor shower. The central AC is quiet and works well! The neighborhood is also quiet. A short walk will get you to several restaurants. Overall we had a nice stay and this home was a much better option than a hotel room and at a better price. Jackie was a pleasure to work with and resolved a small issue we had initially very quickly. I'd stay here again.

This beautiful cottage was just perfect in every way for an active 60 yr old couple. Extremely comfortable, clean and a well equipped kitchen. The outside shower is wonderful as well. The location couldn’t have been better! Easy walk to the beach, walk or drive to these other amazing hikes with views of RI’s beautiful coastline...,Cliff walk, Purgatory Chasm. Sachuest Point Wildlife Refuge, Beaver’s tail, Norman’s Audubon . Jackie was super in keeping us informed and checking in to make sure all was well. If you are thinking about renting here don’t wait! Click book it before you lose the chance. I wish I could have stayed a month!

Beautiful modern pristine beach house. Has all you need to enjoy a vacation. Perfect for a family of four. Great outdoor shower and paved back patio. In a quiet neighborhood that is an easy walk to First Beach and a quick ride into downtown Newport. The owners are wonderful -provided us with all the information we needed to enjoy the area. We had a fabulous weekend! The cottage was recently renovated and all the extra attention to detail made our stay that much more enjoyable. No need to bring anything but your suitcase. Linens, towels, cleaning supplies are all provided. Conveniently located just a short drive to downtown Newport but out of the hustle and bustle so you can truly relax. My husband and I enjoyed our morning walks down to the beach each morning and there is a coffee shop right down the street. Jackie the owner was fabulous to deal with. She made sure we knew all the check in/out procedures and was reachable if we had any questions. Don’t hesitate to stay here. We can’t wait to come back!

The house was perfect for our vacations. It was well equipped, cute and spotless! We really loved the back patio and the outdoor shower made returning from the beach a breeze. The house is very close both the beach and downtown Newport. Jackie was also a wonderful host making sure we were well informed for our stay.

We really enjoyed our stay in the cozy cottage. Great location, walk to lunch dinner coffee, walk to beach! We spent great family time on the back patio, and enjoyed the outdoor shower. Very clean and comfortable! We hope to be back!

Thoroughly enjoyed my six night stay at this adorable cottage. Clean linens, including fluffy beach towels, comfy mattresses, quality pots, pans and dishware for those of us who like to dine in and cook sometimes. Quiet and peaceful neighborhood within walking distance to the beach. Outdoor shower with privacy ! A great place for a vacation getaway!

If you are looking for a beach getaway, this listing is for you! We were able to easily walk to/from the beach, Flo’s Clam Shack and other area attractions. We used Uber to get to/from Thames Street for dinner each night - ranged $7-$10 per trip and usually arrived within 3-5 mins. The cottage was clean, quaint and fully stocked. We would definitively recommend this rental - Jackie is a phenomenal host!

Close enough to everything and far enough away to enjoy peace and quiet. Jackie and Matt’s cottage is a delightful. The cottage is like a showroom, all the amenities you want and absolutely sparkling. Beach is 5 minutes away, downtown Newport 10 minutes and Middletown has wonderful restaurants .also.There was nothing that could have made our stay more enjoyable. Jackie and Matt have thought of everything, high end appliances, beautiful decor lovely backyard patio and the beds are a dream. Come and stay you may never want to leave.

I rented Jackie's cottage for a month-long period. I couldn't have been happier with both the property itself and Jackie as a host. It was spotless, cozy, and supplied with everything I needed. Jackie was warmly communicative and responded immediately anytime I contacted her (which was rare as I had no issues and lacked nothing). The location is perfect, too: a quiet, private place within walking distance to the beaches and a 5 min drive to town. Would stay again without question.

It was a pleasure dealing with the owners, the house is tastefully renovated. Kitchen has all the appliances for the making of good meals, bed and bedding feel as if it were home.... crisp, clean and comfortable.
