We stayed for 5 nights. Lovely apartment with a good space for 4 active senior women. The owner was very helpful with background history of Palermo, and the building. We went to a few of the recommended restaurants which were all good. We were very close to the Piazza del Duomo and found a lovely little cafe/restaurant for breakfast right round the corner.

This was a great place to stay. There were 6 of us and it worked well for everyone. The location was great! It was close enough to walk to all of the key sites and food.
Virginia and her daughter were extremely welcoming and knowledgeable. They made the trip very easy and pleasant.
It was a great trip!

Old world charm and new world comfort: soaring ceilings, marble everything, beautiful art plus ac and great wifi. Steps from all the restaurants and sites of downtown Palermo. Plenty of room to spread out. Virginia is a very gracious host and we really appreciated all her help and advice!

We enjoyed our stay. It was a great location next to the Palermo Cathedral and easy walking distance to the Norman Palace and the Massimo Theater. Good cafes and restaurants are very close. Markets/Supermarkets are not overly close.
As my wife as mobility issues, the only drawback is that the picture shown is for one rental and then our apartment was up another set of stairs to the right.
The apartment was quite spacious, 2 large bedrooms, kitchen, dining room, 2 sitting rooms and 2 bathrooms.
Given the opportunity to return, we would check into staying at Virginia's apartment once again.

Take the host’s word for it when she tells you to leave your car in the underground lot at the edge of town!
This place was right in the middle of the active, ancient, tiny streets of Palermo. It was an easy walk to the Four Corners landmark which was the starting point of several of our tours, both guided and self-led.
Ours was the second floor of this three-story home. Cool stone floors and air-conditioning made it the perfect respite between outings in the heat of July.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone traveling to Palermo!

Our host, Isabella was excellent with all aspects of communication. The accommodation had a full working kitchen, 2 bathrooms and plenty of space to spread out. It was right in the centre of the old walled town, lots of bars, restaurants and shops around us. It was a easy walk the the train station. We were surrounded by many historical sites.

It is nearly next to the famous cathedral and on the corner of Via Scuoli and Via Victor Emmanuelle and a stone’s throw from Quattro Canti. The apartment is large, stylish, and historic. Virginia is nearby, amusing, and helpful. We found it a fabulous place to stay.

We stayed here for two months, Dec 2022 thru Jan 2023 and wish we could have stayed longer. Virginia is wonderful. When we arrived she had thoughtfully decorated the apartment with a Christmas theme. Could not have ask for a more gracious and generous host. The apartment is spacious, two huge bedrooms each with its own balcony and one small bedroom. Great kitchen with everything you need to create your meals. A dining room, a TV room and a comfortable living room gives you the space to spread out. Two bathrooms is a big plus! The location is perfect. You can walk everywhere, restaurants, the markets, museums and landmarks. The only disappointment was that we had to leave!

We were a group of three and looked for a 3 bedroom property with character that was central and this place ticked all the boxes. Beds were a bit hard and furnishings could use a bit of updating and decluttering but overall a nice stay.

Virginia was an excellent host even waiting for us until after midnight to check in. The property is in a perfect location right in the heart of the old town and yet is not busy. It is quiet and convenient. The apartment is spotless and large. Just fantastic.

We stayed in this gorgeous, cool and comfortable apartment while in town for a family weekend. It felt like home. Virginia is a gracious and professional hostess. The apartment was huge and cozy. The location is amazing as it was next door to the Palermo Cathedral. Bar Morocco in the same block has the best coffee and food. I will recommend it to everyone heading to Palermo. Only 25 minutes from the airport.

Beautiful apartment, great location
A great apartment, well equipped and perfectly placed in the historic centre. The owner was very helpful and organised taxis when needed and gave us lots of useful local information. We would stay there again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this beautiful place.

It would be impossible to be closer to the center than this apartment is! So nice to walk right out into the middle of everything. The apartment is huge and historical and exactly what a tourist is looking for. Host is welcoming and gracious and her dog is the cutest thing ever. Apartment is a bit noisy at night from nesting seagulls (?) and in the morning from a nearby school but these are happy noises so we didn’t mind.

This apartment is well appointed and my husband and I immediately felt at home. There is so much space including ceiling height. The coved ceilings are lovely, the chandeliers charming, the decorations, art and old maps are delightful. The kitchen is quite spacious, especially for European standards. Two side by side bathrooms very functional. Note that these are quite separate from the two main bedrooms and honestly I preferred it that way; less noise at night from my partner.
The two main bedrooms are very spacious, the third is certainly adequate. Beds comfortable and very little noise at night. I did opt to use a noise maker in my room; I just sleep better with a bit of white noise. Rooms are very dark. Didn't need AC or heat so I cannot comment on those but everything appeared functional.
Kitchen appliances worked great, oven and stove top. Kitchen is older but everything worked great and we could cook everything we wanted in it. Large fridge / freezer for Europe.
Both the TV room and sitting room (the Red room) were very comfortable. We gravitated towards the Red room for relaxation.
So close to everything you want to see in Palermo. Couldn't ask for better charming accomodations and Virginia is such a joy to work with. One tip, do take a taxi if coming by plane...completely worth it. Public transport not so easy.

Perfect Palermo location
This Palermo apartments is in the heart of historic town and a perfect stage to explore. Next to the incredible cathedral it is situated within steps of restaurants, bars, shops and activity. Beautiful creative space for a family
Virginia’s apartment was the perfect final stop for my family on our monthlong Italian journey. We stayed 11 days and had a wonderful time in the heart of Palermo. When you’re considering a space for a mixed-age group like ours, it’s important to balance comfort, privacy and location convenience. This place is in the heart of the historic center of Palermo and literally across the side street from the national library, with bars, cafes, trinket shops and the cathedral all on the block. A great place for strolling, planning museum and historical site visits, etc.
The apartment’s space is arranged around a courtyard which allows for privacy within a group, has two bathrooms with showers (normal small Italian sized ones- this is to be expected!) and a decent sized kitchen where we cooked many meals. The dining room table accommodated us all well and we read through many tourist brochures, guidebooks and maps she provided. The windows all have thick wood shutters to close out light and most street sounds.
The home is artfully decorated (which was what initially attracted me) and Virginia was a gracious and quickly responsive host (WHO SPEAKS GREAT ENGLISH tho I tried italian) who lives in the building. Our group ranged in age from 3 to 19 to 40s to 70s and we all had a great time. Wi-Fi worked quite well in most of the house. There’s a washing machine in the kitchen and a big clothes drying rack we set up in one of the bigger bedrooms. We even turned the tv parlor into a private room for our 3-year-old (Virginia lent us the highest quality pack and play I’ve ever seen with a cushy mattress and really nice sheets and comforter).
The beds are the spring type mattresses that are common in italy- three in our party thought they were very comfortable, but we 40-somethings were not. I prefer a firm mattress with some kind of foam or topper tho this is not always common in italy. Something to consider.
Solid wood doors provide quiet between rooms tho the gulls honking and squawking in the evening were quite loud- it was a noise that came and went and is not something we’d ever heard before in italy! Once you get familiarized tho, it’s like any other city noise.
All in all, this place was a great fit with so many boxes checked off. You should give it serious consideration as a great responsive host who cares isn’t always easy to find. Virginia’s artistic taste, graciousness and quick responsiveness made this stay feel like home.
