The apartment served as home base for our extended family of 9 over the Christmas holiday. An absolutely beautiful apartment with a ton of old building charm and even an elevator which was a must considering the oldest of us has some significant mobility issues. The apartment is a 10 minute walk from the main section of Trastevere but perfectly located in a quiet area of a large street. I cannot say enough how welcoming and helpful the hosts were. Truly excellent people who care about the quality of your stay and we’re always reachable but never imposing. Absolutely the best vacation rental we’ve ever used and would stay again the next time we are in Rome.

A wonderful host and a great apartment!
We went to Rome to see our son at John Cabot University. Long before we arrived, Annalise took our flight information and arranged a car from the airport at a reasonable price.
A week before our arrival, Flaminia contacted me to see if we would like to arrange a chef to come to the apartment and give us a cooking lesson in Roman cuisine. We ate the results, and it was a truly memorable evening.
I can say we felt very comfortable with the location, and the apartment is truly spectacular. The decor is original from 1910, and it was even better than the photos online.
Thank you Annalisa and Flaminia for a memorable week in Rome.

The apartment is spacious and well appointed
The neighborhood has a lot of graffiti, making us feel uneasy ! It is close to most attractions and public tram and bus are right in front so it is convenient
It is quite noisy due to the tram running all night
There is no parking if you are driving...itis difficult to find parking nearby

Great location with everything you need in walking distance and city center a short train ride away. Annalisa was great and arranged a car service to pick us up and drop us off. She offered to arrange cooking classes or sight seeing tours if we wanted. We didn't meet her but her charming son Marcos checked us in and gave us initial directions and his favorite restaurants and where to buy tickets and catch the train. The apartment is huge and the buildings interior is nice even though there was graffiti on the outside. I would definitely recommend renting!

Fun spot near lots of activities!
First off, let me say that I loved the apartment and our hostess, Alexandra was SO helpful and always able to answer any questions. The place is immaculate and well organized. Our family of 10 stayed in this apartment in Trastevere for 3 nights during what was probably one of the hottest summer's Rome has seen in years! The apartment not being air conditioned was a problem simply because we needed to open the windows to allow air flow throughout. The area where this apartment is located is directly on the tram route and on a very busy main road so it was extremely loud all night long, as any city would be but we just hadn't planned on needing to open the windows. If we could have had them closed and cool air on, it would have been much nicer. Location is good for getting easy transportation into Rome's center and also for walking around the neighborhood of Trastevere. Lots of fun art, shops, bars and restaurants just a 10 minute walk away. Very fun!!

Our group of 8 found Trastevere Deco perfect for our needs. There are 13 beds (11 actual beds plus a 2-person sleeper sofa) spread among 6 bedrooms, with 3 full bathrooms. The living room/dining room was large enough for us to gather to discuss plans for the next day, when we weren't gathering in the large kitchen.
The apartment is located on the third floor of a 4-story building, with an elevator, which was important to us because we had 3 people in our group who have trouble with stairs. (The elevator is small - it fits 2 adults, or 3 people if there is a child.) If you enter the apartment through the front door from the main road, there are about 12 steps leading up to the main floor of the apartment building, where you can either catch the elevator or simply walk up 2 flights of stairs to get to the apartment. However, knowing that we had some people in our group with stair issues, Flaminia and Alexandra gave us a key to the basement which is accessible from the street level (around the side of the building), which allows you to not have to climb any stairs in order to access the property because the elevator goes all the way to the basement.
The wifi was very good, and we appreciated that the apartment had deadbolts to lock from the inside when we were in for the night. The building was very quiet (we saw only 4 or 5 people in the building the entire week we were there). Flaminia and Alexandra were amazingly quick with communication, and they were so helpful - they even ordered us vans to pick us up from the airport and take us back there. The apartment was very, very clean, and stocked with plenty of towels and linens. In the kitchen were a microwave, fridge, freezer, gas stove, dishwasher, washing machine (no dryer), kettle, toaster, and plenty of plates and cups.
The apartment is located in a nice part of Trastevere; we never felt unsafe while we were there. We decided we wanted to stay in Trastevere because we had heard it was a cool neighborhood, and we knew we'd be spending most of our days sightseeing across the Tiber in the historic center. So even though we took cabs every day to leave and return to the apartment (we never attempted to figure out the public transportation system), we didn't mind because we wanted to be forced to explore as much of Rome as possible. There are several restaurants within 200 feet of the apartment, and even more (and gelato shops) within a half-mile. We would happily stay here again!

Historical Gem in an amazing Rome Neighborhood!
Fantastic authentic vintage Rome apartment. It felt like a flashback in time with an elegant, charming and historical feeling. Great location in the Trastevere Neighborhood. We were able to walk everywhere or easily catch cabs when needed. Our family of 13 had enough room for everyone to have their own space, and had a nice living room area where we all could gather together. The owners were easy to contact when we had questions. We would stay here again.

Gorgeous accommodations and sweet hospitality
My group of 9 had such a fantastic experience staying at Trastevere Deco! The apartment is beautifully furnished with antique charm and modern amenities. We appreciated the easy access to public transportation, the fabulous bakery just one block away, and the nearby supermarket. Best of all was the warm reception by Flaminia and her family. We felt so at home here, and the experience was far better than staying in a cheerless hotel! We would highly recommend Trastevere Deco to other travelers!

Great
Great apartment, good location not far from restaurants and everything you need.
If you have trouble sleeping you should choose a bedroom on the more quiet side, because it's plenty of bedrooms this is not a problem.

Exceptional in Every Way
Trastevere Deco exceeded all our expectations. Flamina and her lovely family were exceptional in taking care of all ten of us, and the
house itself felt happy to receive us. There is great history to this place. It was a house for Generals and then later a house for Vatican lawyers. It's spacious, thoughtfully decorated, and the picture's don't do it justice. Some of the bedrooms facing the street are noisy with the windows open, but the magnificent dignity of the place compensates for it. You won't be more warmly welcomed anywhere in Italy.

Big apartment centrally located good for big family.
Analisa and her family were nice, professional, accomodating and helpful. They helped us with transport which was appreciated after a long plane ride. I tried to give them 4.5 stars but system did not allow me to. The half star was due to the heat wave and lack of air conditioning. However the family ran around the city to find us fans so we could be comfortable. So I reccomend this location to anyone visiting Rome. The tram is right outside an excellent bakery for breakfast and lunch down the street also walking distance to all sights in Trastevere.

A very nice place
We enjoyed staying at this apartment
Excellent location near good restaurants
Owners very accommodating and a pleasure to work with
Only issue was lack of air conditioning. We did have fans (probably could have used more) but they weren't sufficient
Despite that, we would definitely recommend this apartment

Could not have been better!
Every aspect of our experience in this Rome apartment was excellent. We were a large group of artists traveling together and we all agreed that renting Trastevere Deco was a great decision. The location was about as good as it gets thanks to the convenient tram stop right out side. It made getting to all the places we wanted to see so much easier. The cool little markets and coffee shops just down the street kept us all very happy, and being able to wonder Trastevere itself was amazing.
The apartment itself was excellent! It was large enough to accommodate our group comfortably, and it was so beautiful as well. I loved that it was very clean and well kept, but as an artist I was bowled over by the period charm of the place. The floors, fixtures and such added another layer of enjoyment to our stay. Coming home after exploring the city each day to regroup with wine and antipasto as the sun set was always a highlight. We loved it!
The fact that Flaminia and her family were such gracious hosts was like icing on the cake. They went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our stay. The communication was easy and prompt, and the expectations were clear. We found them to be very accommodating and helpful. As she said before we left, we now have a home in Rome.

Absolutely loved this apartment!
Our experience with this apartment was delightful. We had 4 adults and 5 children and we slept very comfortably with room to spare. The pictures are accurate but the feeling of hominess, fresh air, and peacefulness is not captured well enough. The building, while not quite within walking distance of the main tourist attractions, sits right on the tram line which we easily took to the center of the tourist district. There is ample choice for food within walking distance as well. Flaminia and her family (brother and father) were all very nice and accommodating and I would certainly recommend this apartment to other large groups traveling together.
Thank you Flaminia!

Great flat - casual neighbourhood
We loved this apartment! Only 7 of us in our party but it could have accommodated more comfortably. Kitchen is good - cooked a five course Christmas dinner for 11 people, no problem and the place is beautiful, lots of period features but really liveable.
I really liked the location - close enough to the centre that you can walk to the sights (though there is a pretty handy tram that runs down the main road) but just far enough the main tourist circuit that you feel you are living in a neighbourhood rather than a theme park.
Flaminia's family also live in the apartment and they are lovely people. We had a trip to hospital with one of our group - without the family's help I don't know how we would have coped. Thanks a lot guys.

Amazing apartment and location!
This is a splendid apartment. We traveled with 9 adults. It was spacious, well maintained and beautifully decorated. We had fast wifi, plenty of kitchenware and very comfy beds. The owners were extremely welcoming and very helpful. The location is perfect for traveling anywhere in Rome. I certainly would stay again and recommend to family and friends.

Spacious Apartment Ideal for large families
"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay , we had 3 families of 4 and there was more than enough room for all of us. The accommodation in our opinion was of a high standard and we liked the history related to the property. The location was fantastic very close to public transport (right outside the front door) , good proximitey to night life and close enough to major sites if you did want to walk. We were very grateful to Flaminia and her father for their hospitality, especially Flaminia as all our dealings we had prior to our stay including all of our questions which she always answered and when we arrived she took the time to explain the local sites and general information to help us get the most out of our stay. There didnt seem to be anything that was too much trouble. This will be a fondly remembered time by all of the family."
