About this house rental
Close to "The Boathouse", and absolute beachfront, "beachsett" is a beautifully presented beachhouse with outstanding water and national park views. This is a delightfully quaint fisherman's cottage which has been extended, with all modern amenities. Lounge and dining room open onto beachfront deck. Close to the wharf where you can take the ferry daily to Newport, or visit Palm Beach. The beachhouse has three bedrooms; two with queensize beds, and a bedroom with four single beds sleeping 8. Well suited to 6 adults, or 4 adults and up to 4 children. DVD/CD-Player, and television. Remote-controlled air conditioning as well as wood combustion stove in lounge. Barbecue on beachfront. Outside shower to rinse off after swimming. Linen can be supplied, at additional cost, on request.

Stayed with 4 adults and 2 children.
Beachsett is an older beach shack as can be appreciated in the photos, however is superbly located and very comfortable. There was plenty of room for our group.
The kitchen is equipped better than a standard holiday let. Also plenty of books, board games and DVDs if the weather is uncooperative.
Communication from Margaret is excellent.
Highly recommend.

An excellent spot, stunning May weather and homely house thank you Margaret and John.
The late checkout was excellent - am just leaving now and have put out both bins ( see the neighbours' yellowbins out so have copied them)!
Level suitable for elderly people and I loved the spare containers for left- overs.
Have left our " What the Crap" toilet rolls!

We had such an amazing time! The house is perfectly situated. Lots of space and access immediately onto the beach. The kitchen is really well appointed, everything you could possibly need. Great communication with Margaret!

Lovely location for a beach holiday. right on the water and super close to the cafe and boat house for a drink or meal at night. We loved the outdoor furnture so we could eat out side under the norfolk pine trees.
The communication with the owner was amazing and we loved out stay.

Relaxing weekend away
It was a very wet weekend away in Patonga for our stay, but fortunately this property was a lovely home to spend the weekend inside! Right on the water, a peaceful spot with a beautiful view, close enough to the beach and Boathouse to make a quick run down to the water and out for lunch when the rain eased!

Although it was cool & rainy, we had a delightful 4 days here. The house is thoughtfully & well equipped & the beach is just outside the door. The Boathouse Hotel is just a stroll away & the coffee & dinners there were excellent. We particularly liked the view from the house’s dining table from which we could see the ocean, Barrenjoey, Broken Bay and various boating activities. It was one of the most enjoyable places in which I’ve ever stayed.

Although it was cool & rainy, we had a delightful 4 days here. The house is thoughtfully & well equipped & the beach is just outside the door. The Boathouse Hotel is just a stroll away & the coffee & dinners there were excellent. We particularly liked the view from the house’s dining table from which we could see the ocean, Barrenjoey, Broken Bay and various boating activities. It was one of the most enjoyable places in which I’ve ever stayed.

Margaret was so great to deal with, gave us lots of helpful tips and advice, it really couldn’t have been easier. It's hard to summarise all that is right with our stay, it is just too much. First and foremost was our gracious host who went above and beyond to accommodate us to make our stay delightful. Then Patonga itself is just lovely and we had prime position being waterfront and two steps from the hub (The Boathouse). The cottage itself had just about everything we needed. The highlight is the large deck, we we spent many hours, totally entertained by our surroundings. Then there was.....like I said too much...just go and see for yourself!
A fantastic week was had!

Beachsett is ideal and suited us perfectly. We were 4 adults and 2 children. Some Christmas decorations were up to remind us about the ‘silly season’. To wake up and wander down to the beach was bliss. We didn’t use the BBQ but I think we made use of all other facilities such as the outdoor shower. Patonga is such a lovely place and Beachsett is wonderfully located to pop over for a coffee at the Boat House. We left the worries of the City behind us and when we left we only had a 70 mins drive home.If we can arrange it we’ll be back!!

The house is a traditional cottage - the wood burner kept us warm on some unusually cold Spring nights. Great information from the hosts. We walked over to Pearl Bay - will be back I’m sure to swim/kayak in Summer.

Gorgeous beach cottage!
The house is very cute and clean. It is directly on the beach and a very short stroll to the wharf and pub. This is a fantastic place to spend a weekend.

Patonga Beach is our favourite getaway spot and this beachfront house is the perfect way to enjoy it. The house is in the best location and has everything you need to make you never want to leave. The pub is a very short stroll and has great food and atmosphere however we were happy to stay at the house and enjoy most of our time on the deck. We were there during cooler evenings and the real fire with wood and kindling ready to go made it very cosy. Margaret made our arrival super easy with a few special touches which were much appreciated.
My only complaint is that were were not there for longer. We will definitely be back.

Perfect Family Getaway
The house is perfectly located for a family - right on the beach, two playgrounds within walking distance and a cafe for ice creams at the end of a hard day fishing and beach walks. We found everything we needed to make it a 'home away from home' and the wood stove was lovely to sit by on the chilly evenings. The hosts couldn't be more helpful and the late check-out was very much appreciated. Thank you Margaret & John!

Ahhh the serenity!
This property is in the best location, Patonga Hotel, Ferry wharf and beach all are a stone's throw away. We loved waking up every morning to the view of fishing boats and looking out over the water. Thank you Margaret and John for your prompt communication and answering my many questions. This property is extremely clean and comfortable and well equipped with everything you would need. We cannot wait to return.
