My partner and I were exploring Asheville for the first time with our pup. George's cabin in the woods was the perfect mountain getaway. The cabin was adorable and was supplied with everything we needed. Would definitely recommend staying here for anyone checking out Asheville!

The views here are amazing! I took my girlfriend (now fiancée) to the Biltmore and proposed to her and this place was a perfect celebratory place to stay! Highly recommend it!

George the owner was super nice and super helpful!
The cabin was perfect for the 2 of us and well accommodated. The decor is like a collection of early Americana antiques. The views were amazing from our deck! Grocery stores and Walmart were only 10 or 15 minutes away and downtown Asheville was maybe 25 minutes.
No complaints whatsoever but be aware of the weather after dark. The fog made it difficult to see the road but that’s the price for the mountain top views!

Great stay! Comfy bed, great view, hospitable host. Conveniently located to downtown Asheville. Will definitely stay again.

My spouse and our two dogs felt comfortable and cozy in George’s stay. It was surprisingly reminiscent of my childhood home in the country with farm tools hanging on the exterior like decor and functional antiques throughout the home. George knocked on the door a couple times, once to introduce himself and once to let us know there were bears outside which was really cool! We really appreciated the gas fireplace, the heat lamp in the bathroom, and the many windows through which to view the sunrises/sunsets during our stay—especially when it was very cold outside! We were always warm inside. We would definitely return!

Our host George is a wonderful man who will make sure your stay is special. The cabin is cozy and clean. So much to do In Asheville and even though you are on top of a mountain- you’re not far from Biltmore and other sites. We will be back. That’s a definite!! Thanks again George!

Mr. George was rather sweet. He was a very nice host who came down and greeted when we arrived. The place feels like a mini museum and we got to see some bears. This cabin is perfect for a couple trying to get away. It's cozy and the view is amazing

A couple days getaway after our marriage. George is such a great host! George was able to introduce us to a couple of bear families as well. This was our second time staying at the Cabin and we will definitely make this our getaway spot in Ashevillle. Thank you, George!

We had a great stay at George's. Beautiful views. I was a little concerned about the bears given we were bringing our dog. You definitely need to be aware and have your dog on a leash but I was shocked at how calm the bears were. Really cool experience.

George Stanley’s “rustic cabin” sits at the top of a 3500 foot mountain. Being there was an experience! There were bears, raccoons, and wild turkeys. It seemed remote and isolated, but it only took 20 minutes or so to be in the center of Asheville, with all it has to offer. It’s a place we’ll go back to and recommend to others.

Our stay at this cozy mountain retreat was comfy with beautiful views. Whether you choose Outdoor porch sitting, a relaxing moment swinging overlooking the valley or an evening fire and enjoying the sounds of being outdoors, this location doesn’t disappoint! George was cordial and informative regarding local recommendations. We definitely will be back for another Asheville adventure!

Getting there is a challenge, but that's part of the mountain experience. Cant have mountain views without going up. View is excellent from the huge deck complete w chairs, tables, grill. Best scenery Ive ever had while grilling. George is a great host and introduced us to the bears. Dont be a dumb city slicker and take selfies w the bears 😬.

My partner and I had a wonderful experience here with a fantastic view. The drive up is extremely steep so be aware of that, but no complaints otherwise. George was very kind and we saw several bears which was awesome.

As soon as we saw this cabin, and met George Stanley, we knew we were going to have a fantastic vacation. View of the mountains from the cabin is absolutely gorgeous. Cabin is cozy, comfortable and decorated with antiques. Location is great. And there are so many things to do in this area. We are definitely planning to return.

Enjoyed our stay at George’s cabin. The views are spectacular to the eastern sky when the sun comes up in the morning. The road there is interesting, but doable and the property is quite comfortable. We enjoyed conversing with George and the check in and check out props for us were seamless. We hope to return in the future.

The owner George is the most wonderful host, he was super friendly and helpful. The cabin has better views than any place in the Asheville area, it's very hard to leave it! Downtown was lovely but to be honest, being back at the cabin was so peaceful and relaxing, I really just wanted to stay there! The cabin was wonderful and had everything you need, just bring your food and chill out. I can't wait to go back!

We arrived and unloaded our car and just enjoyed the breathtaking view, the clean fresh air and the magnificent hospitality of the owner of the property. We were able to have our dog, Sadie, accompany us on this vacation and we both (my husband and I) thoroughly enjoyed just staying on the property getting some much needed rest and relaxation. We will definitely be going back again and I will be telling all my friends about this beautiful place.
