We have returned to this property several times. The owners, Meg and Frank, have decorated the home to make it very inviting. They are extremely friendly and have been helpful when we have found it difficult to navigate some aspects of the Vrbo site. In short, the home is charming, as are the owners, the view is breathtaking, the comfort is exceptional.

There were 5 of us on a girls weekend and spent three nights in this beautiful home. I call it a home, because everything you might need is on hand and then some. Its both spacious and cozy with a spectaular view of the bridge.
We will definately be going back again!

Cute house, excellent hosts, nice location.

The house was situated looking over a spectacular view of the bay and the bridge where we loved watching the boats come and go.
Very clean and cozy. The two bedrooms upstairs had nice beds and shared a big bathroom.
The twin beds downstairs were fine, but the sofa listed as a pullout bed was very uncomfortable.

This is the fourth stay for us at Meg and Frank’s lovely home. The view of the Columbia from the living room is spectacular. The home has everything one might need for a get-away, including comfortable beds. Every descriptor on the listing is correct, and pictures don’t do it justice. In addition, Meg and Frank are perfect hosts.

My entire stay was incredible. The view was like a postcard… the house was large and comfortable and very centrally located. The hosts were friendly, great communicators and took great care to make sure our visit was great. I cannot wait to come back again.

The home was extremely comfortable, and the hosts were friendly and attentive. They went out of their way to accommodate our requests from moving cleaning supplies into high cupboards (young grandchildren were along) to allowing us to bring and use pressure child gates on the stairs.
The house has wonderful gathering places inside and on the wrap around deck outside. The hosts (they live next door) allowed use of their fire pit and hot tub. The deck was a great place to relax with comfortable chairs, a picnic table, gentle breezes and sunshine. And the view!!
The house was spotless. We had no hesitation to let the 12 month old crawl and play on the floor. Kitchen was well supplied.
We highly recommend this property. Just don't book it so full that there won't be a week for us.

We had a fabulous family vaca. This beautiful home is as stated and well stocked with everything you could need and then some.
The view is the best and absolutely breathtaking. Our host live right next door and were available to answer any questions we had. They are also the nicest couple to visit with. 💕
We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

The photos are accurate. The view from the deck and living room are beautiful. Frank met us right after checking in and kindly offered some suggestions for things to do in the area. However, the first issue was that the basement was very, very musty with numerous spiderwebs. I know it’s an older house, but my kids didn’t want to stay down there in the bedroom and I didn’t blame them. They slept on the couches. Second issue was that I received a message a little bit after 10pm our first night while three of us were in the hot tub just having a conversation. She told us they wanted guests in by 10. Now we did receive a message just before check in saying they wanted guests in from the fire pit by 10…but not the hot tub and even just sitting on the deck. They mentioned something about respecting neighbors and a city ordinance. Um, I don’t think there’s a city ordinance saying people can’t be outside after 10 just having a conversation! Very ridiculous. I don’t know if it’s because the owner’s house is right next door (and where the hot tub and fire pit are), but it put a little damper on the stay.

The house is spacious and seemed to have everything we could want in the way of necessaries. Frank and Meg (live next door) were available if we needed but clearly conscious of respecting our privacy. Beds comfortable and we enjoyed the open windows and fresh air to keep us cool. And the view!!! From inside or from the deck, the Columbia, the shipyard (yacht club) and Wahington across the river were majestic and serene. Loved Astoria and the restaurants available. So much we did not see (yet). Hope we make it back!

Great location for visiting Astoria, Seaside and close to Cape Disappointment across the bridge.
House has great views of the bay, large patio deck and floor plan allows for separation of guests to have their own space.
Hosts very helpful and accommodating.
Highly recommend this location.

If you want an amazing view and a beautiful home in Astoria, look no further—this is the place to book! Our week-long stay at this VRBO was truly unforgettable, thanks to the stunning vistas and the warmth of the owners who live right next door.
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with genuine hospitality and helpfulness from the owners. They were always available to answer any questions we had and provided us with valuable tips and recommendations for exploring the area. Their presence nearby added an extra layer of comfort and security to our stay.
The house itself exceeded our expectations in every way. The moment we stepped inside, we were welcomed by a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The interior was tastefully decorated, combining modern amenities with touches of local charm. It truly felt like a home away from home.
However, the highlight of this property is undoubtedly the deck and its mesmerizing view. Picture yourself sipping your morning coffee while watching the sun slowly rise over the scenic landscape—it was simply breathtaking. The deck provided ample space for relaxation, dining, and soaking in the tranquil surroundings.
Now, let's talk about the hot tub. While it wasn't located on the property itself, we'd be remiss not to mention it. Behind the owners' house, there is a hot tub area that promises an equally awe-inspiring view. Unfortunately, during our stay, the hot tub was temporarily out of service. Can't wait to try it out next time!

Great location (on a dead end street), and with everything you want in a place for a getaway. Its got an amazing view of the bridge, a giant porch with a sizeable hot tub, fire pit, and even a half door, so you can serve breakfast on the porch. The owners live right next door and let us be other than a couple friendly chats. Also in the basement is a Superfine Foosball table, and me and my kids (13 and 10) played for hours on it. Also there is a sauna in the basement, that I was bummed I didn't get to use. If you are thinking about renting this place, do it!
My kids and I can't wait to go back.

This house is a beautiful place to stay while visiting spots in and around Astoria. The kitchen was the best I've encountered at a VRBO--spacious and well-stocked with pots, pans, etc. My 6 y/o was there for the hot tub, which was a great way to end each day. He also enjoyed playing foosball with dad while I made breakfast each morning. We also loved watching the cargo ships going by each day. I enjoy history, so the page with memories from the the woman who had lived there as a child when the house was a parsonage was really interesting to read. When we do another Astoria trip, we'll definitely stay here!

We loved this cozy, quiet home! Fabulous, ever changing view of the boats, bridge, and water. Nicely furnished with lots of fun stuff, including many ship models. We treasured our stay, and recommend it without qualification. Have fun in Astoria!

The house was extremely clean and well taken care of. Best house we have stayed in. The view was unbelievable. Communication was top notch. Beds were comfortable, wash and dryer worked well, everything we needed in a kitchen was there. Our truck is long, parking and getting in and out of the property was tight but totally doable in one shot. I will stay here again 100%.

The property was better than even the photos indicated. The owners were responsive and friendly. Thank you for being a part of celebrating my mother's 75th birthday! I would definitely consider staying again.

This was an amazing place to stay. Beautifully decorated. I am from the same town and used to the view from my parent’s house but the view from the living room with the huge windows was lovely. The fireplace was a perfect accompaniment. There are nautical and other nice touches throughout the house so it feels very special. The basement was perfect for two teens with their own bedroom and shower. We didn’t have the little children with us but the area upstairs with two small beds they would have loved. It was snowing but the deck and hot tub would have been nice if we had time and inclination. We were there for a family event. The living room furniture and beds were very comfortable. I’m saying this because I have been in many where that was not the case. I have stayed in a lot of vacation rentals on the mainland and Hawaii and I would have to say this is one of the nicest.

We stayed here over a holiday weekend and really enjoyed it. The hot tub and sauna were fantastic perks. The kitchen was well stocked, I was able to easily cook several meals. The only drawback is that it's a pretty steep and narrow road to get to the house. Not really walkable unless you're in excellent shape.

Had a relaxing time enjoying the view of the River, sauna and quiet neighborhood this adorable house is in. Watched deer frolic in the yard and even though it was close to the highway on ramp to the bridge, there was no traffic noise. House and kitchen, fireplace came with everything you need. Easy communication with hosts -they live next door, but gave us privacy. Great time!

What a perfect place to stay in Astoria! Beautiful historic home, recently renovated, with astounding views of the bridge and river. Sitting in the hot tub and watching the tankers go by was a delight. Plenty of space for four adults, great kitchen and living room. Walkable to downtown if you're a walker who doesn't mind hills, a quick drive if not. 10/10 would return!

Meg and Frank were most accommodating, catering to requests and helping us through a self inflicted setback. The kid room with stuffies on the pillows was darling. We decided not to go to any spendy restaurants on the water because our view through the crystal clear windows was ten times better! The kitchen was well stocked. The most difficult part was deciding on hot tub or sauna when we were ready for some heat.

This is our favorite place to stay! The property managers are great to work with; the view is beautiful; the house is clean, comfortable and quiet; the hot tub and fire pit are so much fun; and the kitchen is well stocked.
