The host was very attentive! We enjoyed our stay.

Beautifully renovated home less than 4 miles from Biltmore Estate and downtown area. Property manager was always available to answer questions. We’ll appointed house with everything you’d ever need. Big front porch perfect for watching kids or pets play in the fenced yard.

The home and furnishings take you back to a time past. Hose is warm and inviting. We chose not to walk and it was very inexpensive to uber downtown. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay

I travelled here with my husband and 17-year-old daughter. We were looking to visit Asheville for the first time and relax. The porch swings were the biggest attraction for peaceful family talks and reading spaces and they did not fail!
Georgia was a fabulous host as her house is welcoming and full of everything a traveler could need or want. The house was located so very close to downtown so that we could take the short car ride to the delicious and plentiful restaurants of downtown Asheville, as well and the many shopping opportunities.
Ten minutes away was the Biltmore - a bucket list item that we all 3 thoroughly enjoyed.

We really enjoyed our stay. Location is in walking distance of restaurants and shops. It is near the arts district and many breweries. We took a drive on the blue ridge parkway which was beautiful. Kayaked on the French Broad river and visited the Biltmore estate. Lots to see and do. Be prepared for a work out walking up hills. 😀. Georgia was a lovely host.

Neat, clean & charming unit in a not-so-charming
neighborhood. Parking in rear of apt was extremely
tight, making ingress & egress a challenge. Enjoyed Biltmore Estate & Omni Hotel dining experience. would have enjoyed stay more if we had been domiciled nearer
to Page Ave (Restaurant Row) amenities.

Incredible 5 days at Green Gables. The accommodations were perfect for two couples and could squeeze in a child or two on a couch. Green Gables had a glorious porch for sitting and relaxing. The house is filled with antique furniture but all functional and in great shape. Georgia was a perfect host and made sure our stay was memorable. Without a doubt we would stay again and hope to soon. Perfectly situated for easy access to all good things in Asheville, yet removed enough to avoid the less desirable elements found in many parts of the popular city. Put it on your “A” list for a great stay in Asheville.

We celebrated our 38th anniversary with a visit to the Biltmore and dinner at Limones. I highly recommend both. The conservatory at the Biltmore is a must see. It's incredible. The house was very comfortable and Georgia is extremely nice and very accommodating. Our dog, Camden, loved the fenced-in yard. The location allows convenient access to I-240, which is a must for getting around the area.

This was an ideal central location to explore the Asheville area. Close to the Arboretum, Biltmore Estate, Historic Asheville and River Arts District. And only short jaunts to Brevard, Black Mountain and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Plenty of quaint coffee shops, breweries, restaurants, and local crafts shops. Many only short walking distances

Green Gables is the perfect place for a solo retreat, which is what I was looking for, and for a couple or small group wanting beauty and coziness and easy access to wonderfully artistic downtown Asheville. Owner Georgia prepared everything beautifully and was completely clear on all instructions and helpful hints. Although she resides in the upper story of the house, I would never have known she was there if I hadn't sought her out (and found her to be a kindred spirit) My favorite features were the spacious veranda, the exquisite garden, the choice of cozy places to be inside the house and the proximity to downtown. The trek is walkable, though I availed myself of the convenient and inexpensive parking garage on Wall Street. If you enjoy a historically beautiful aesthetic combined with every modern convenience, Green Gables is an excellent choice. I will return!

Green Gables is packed with historical charm and has all the amenities needed for a stay with family. It is conveniently located near all the fun things to explore while still being tucked away on a less busy street. Georgia was excellent to work with and so helpful. We will definitely stay here again.

The host was wonderful, very gracious. The house was very clean and I would definitely book this property again. There was a binder with tons of information for things to do and places to visit. We even received an email on a rainy day letting us know what we could do on that day. The yard was full of flowers and well maintained.

We were extremely pleased with our choice to stay at Green Gables. It was very clean, the beds are so comfortable, and it is located conveniently to downtown, restaurants, and everything we wanted to do. We spent time most evenings on the wrap around veranda.
It is accurately presented on VRBO.
We will definitely stay at Green Gables again!

This place is so appropriately decorated with vintage furniture, wraparound porch, so elegant and well appointed. Three full bathrooms two full bedrooms plus a fold out couch which we did not need. Everything you expect in a Vrbo. I highly recommend this and will definitely book when I return to the area.

The four of us had everything we needed at Green Gables and could easily walk to downtown Asheville. The owner lives upstairs and we saw her once when she wanted to make sure we could use the TV. The kitchen is well-stocked, and the furnishings are lovely.

My family and I stayed at this beautiful property for a few days in April 2023. This beautiful home is filled with antiques and comfortable furnishings. The veranda was perfect for coffee every morning and late night chats after activity filled days. The kitchen was very well appointed, and we did have a couple of meals at home while we were there. It was so convenient to downtown Asheville and for day trips up on the Blue Ridge Parkway. We had a great day, and would not hesitate to return!

Very nice restored home with cool antique (but comfy) furniture. Great location... we walked downtown (about a mile) to dinner and bar hop and it was great to not worry about parking or driving home after drinks. It's also close to the Biltmore mansion. Definitely a nice place to stay while visiting Asheville. And the owner Georgia was great about providing lots of useful info about what to see, where to eat, where to park... really nice to have that info provided both via emails and a nice big binder of info at the home. A great place to stay.

We stayed four nights at this charming home. Georgia was very helpful prior to arrival and was genuinely interested in making sure our stay was a good one. We appreciated the convenient location, the (very) comfortable beds, and all the little touches including cookies on arrival!

Green Gables is a very special, older home that has been beautifully restored. After a long car ride it was such a joy to walk into its warm and elegant furnishings, fresh cookies on the table, a personal welcome letter and an overall feeling of comfort and luxury. It was immaculate as well, sparkling clean fridge and stove top (I really appreciate this), two beer mugs already icing in the freezer, fully stocked kitchen with real plates, drinking glasses, wine glasses, etc. The bedrooms and bathrooms were also spotless and the master bath has heated floors! There is also a lovely, large bathtub in the master bedroom that I simply could not resist that first night I was there. Georgia, our host, was wonderful. She sent all communications in a timely manner, had all the most important information about checking in, directions, things about town, all organized online as well as in the house at our fingertips. And Green Gables is very dog friendly with a fenced in front yard that is situated so that dogs can access the huge front porch and the front entrance. And what a porch! It’s large and lovingly furnished with chairs, loungers, porch swing, tables, just a beautiful scene and I wish I had had more time to spend just sitting out there sipping a cocktail and watching the world go by. I was in Asheville with my husband and our eleven-year-old daughter for a long weekend seeing family and friends and we could not have been happier. We’ll definitely be back and cannot recommend Green Gables highly enough, thank you Georgia!

My wife and I came to town on vacation and stayed in Georgia's home.
It was very spacious and well supplied. The bathrooms were large, as was the main bedroom. We enjoyed the huge wrap around porch. Everything--stove, oven, dishwasher, w/d, tv/cable--worked perfectly.
This location is walking distance to most of the River Arts District and several coffee shops and cafes. You can drive to the downtown shopping area in around 5 minutes. The Biltmore estate is about a 10 minute drive. It also provides easy access going into and out of the city on the various interstates.
Visitors should be aware that Asheville has a large homeless population that you will certainly encounter in the downtown area.

This was a perfect getaway for 2 older couples. The beds were comfy, we loved the fireplace...super clean.and cozy for sure. Nicely decorated for the holidays.
I loved our heated bathroom floors!!! We were there when the highs were in the 30's!!! We are Floridans!!

Super quiet neighborhood!!

This property was excellent as a girls getaway. The house is beautiful, the neighborhood a bit sketchy, definitely not walking distance to anything— the owner was very responsive to our needs, and had decorated nicely for the holidays… 3 fireplaces ensured everyone was cozy— I think the owner could have the specialized logs onsite, and charge for use, we had to shop for them. Other than that, definitely worth staying while visiting Asheville

This stay was so fantastic. The house is even cuter in person. The antique furniture and details make you feel like you’ve stepped back in time. Everything was extremely comfortable and clean. Excellent location and great local recommendations. I appreciated the loads of additional blankets and towels. There was plenty if hot water to enjoy a nice soak in the tub. And having a pack n play available made it so much easier. Looking forward to staying again.

My wife and I and my wife's sister and her husband stayed at this lovely home. It has so much charm! Everything we needed was included in the amenities and supplies. It was easy to set up home and easy to depart. Amazing! Green Gables is remarkably close to everything, including the Biltmore Estate, downtown Asheville, and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Our stay was so much fun. We hope to stay here again!

Guys, this property has it ALL. Perfect location to walk downtown. Great enclosed front yard if you bring your pooch. The kitchen is perfectly stocked. The house is beautifully eclectic…lots of antiques but oh so comfy. It was cold when we were there and the heater worked perfectly. We arrived late and Georgia had all the lights on for our arrival. It was super cute! We’d revisit in a heartbeat.

We loved our stay at this quaint, historic house in Asheville. It is located about 1.5 miles from downtown. The house had a great kitchen with all the amenities. The front, wrap around porch was great for relaxing with a nap or a wine or coffee. Inside there was plenty of room, with clean, spacious bathrooms. The living room was a little small, but the huge front porch made up for it. The owner was so nice and very easy to communicate with. We highly recommend this place and hope to return soon.
