About this cabin rental
Located in Gatlinburg, this charming cabin for $634 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. ABOVE THE GLADES-- **YOU TUBE VIDEO: ABOVE THE GLADES (for your viewing) Age requirement to rent: 25 **PLEASE CONFIRM WITH OWNER BEFORE MAKING A 2 NIGHT BOOKING. THANK YOU FOR YUR COOPERATION. Magnificent scenery sitting at top of mountain with clear, crisp views of Mt. Leconte for EVERY season of the year. The chalet is maintained by Mountaineer Cleaning Company which does an excellent job at making sure the cabin is in exceptional condition for each arriving guest. As owners, we also live in area and inspect cabin on a weekly basis to provide a high quality vacation experience for all guests. Architecture is amazing! COVID-19 and CANCELLATIONS: Cabin and hot tub are sanitized for your health and safety according to the CDC for your health and safety by my professional cleaning service, Mountaineer Cleaning and Maintenance. Requests for COVID cancellations and refunds align with those policies set by Vrbo. I am sorry but I do not give refunds due to inclement weather or early departures. Upon arrival, on the main floor, guests are welcomed by an open-plan living area with floor to ceiling windows, a stack rock gas fireplace that sits in the corner with a 60 inch HD TV with Blu Ray DVD player and a comfortable leather sofa and sleeper. The fully equipped kitchen features black granite counter tops and a stone backsplash. The dining area includes an oak log table with seating for 8. A bedroom on the main level offers a king bed, closet and a 50 inch HD TV. The main level also hosts a full bathroom with a jetted tub , double sinks, stone walls and a large picture window. There is not a shower in this bathroom. The open loft looks out on Mt. Leconte and offers a king bed, closet and a full bathroom, double sinks, and a glass enclosed walk in shower. Exceptional views from every window in loft area, even behind the bed! The lower level (game room) features an open room with pool table and a sofa sleeper that sits in front of a 50 inch HD TV and gas fireplace. Behind this area is a cove with a bunk bed that accommodates a full and twin bed. A large bathroom with shower, tub, double sinks and full size washer and dryer is nearby. The large open has floor to ceiling windows to take in all the beautiful views. WiFi provided **Cabin is 3 levels and may not be suited for elderly seniors, disabled, or handicapped persons. The driveway is steep but is manageable. Parking is available on two levels. You can drive to the first level and park. If you drive to second level of parking, drive to rear, back up to turn around and then go down driveway forward. Does not accommodate large passenger vans or motor homes. Drive with caution during the winter months. METHODS OF PAYMENT: We accept credit cards through the secure site with HomeAway/VRBO. Once you decide to book, we will email you a confirmation letter and will need 1/2 of rent to be received within 3 days of making the reservation and the balance to be paid not less than 15 days prior to arrival. We require 14 days minimum for cancellations in order to receive a full refund. Funds can be paid through the secure system on VRBO/Home Away. Monthly rentals available. Call/email for discounted rates. YOU ARE ONLY GIVEN A SMALL STARTER SUPPLY OF TRASH BAGS, TOILET PAPER, PAPER TOWELS, SOAP ETC. YOU MAY BRING EXTRA WITH YOU OR SHOP AT THE LOCAL FOOD CITY GROCERY WHICH IS ONLY ABOUT 2 MILES AWAY. WE DO NOT SUPPLY PANTRY ITEMS FOR HEALTH AND SAFETY REASONS. As promised, this property had views of the mountains from the front deck. We were their during fall colors and it was beautiful. Close drive to Gatlinburg, smoky mountains entrances and hiking trails.

For the price I paid, definitely not worth it. I’ve stayed better places in Gatlinburg. The fire pit was disappointing, we were unable to use it. The drive way was very steep, difficult getting in and out. The location was 4 out of 10, I was expecting more after viewing the pictures from the site. I wouldn’t book here again.

The cabin is beautiful. Wonderful surroundings, quiet and extremely clean. The owner is very helpful in every way. I would recommend staying here and would be very happy to bpok a stay again.

This was our second stay here and we had a few extra kids with us this time!! Everything was just as we had remembered it, clean and spacious for our growing family. The scenery is just gorgeous and we even got to see a bear cub in the landing behind the cabin!

Debbie was great, and we would absolutely stay at this cabin again. The steep driveway was a little tricky for one of our vehicles, but that is the norm in the mountains. We really appreciated all of the signs, helpful directions, and recommendations for the area (which we received in advance and were able to make plans). We ate at a couple of the restaurant recommendations, and they were terrific! We took a 6 mile hike from the Sugarlands Visitor Center and spent an afternoon at Anakeesta! We even saw a mama bear and her three cubs (from a safe distance). We look forward to coming back to Gatlinburg soon! Thanks for a wonderful experience!

Enjoyed our stay. Cabin was very clean and nice views. Had all items you would need for cooking and lots of extra items. Beds and sofas very comfortable. Extra blankets and pillows. Everything you would ever need is stocked here. Would stay at this cabin again. The only thing I would say negatively is the driveway is tricky. It is around only 50’ long which was nice, but…steep (not a problem) except for the fact you have to really get a good run and go to get to the top and you have no idea what’s at the top (hard right turn at the top)
I was scared so me and my son switched drivers and he drove up. If you aren’t scared of tricky driveways definitely stay at this beautiful cabin. I would stay again (with my son driving up the driveway)

We were looking for a beautiful cabin in the woods with a view, and this was perfect. Love that we got to also have a fire pit and hot tub on site, and pool table. Loved our visit to the smoky mountains, thank you for everything!

Cabin is beautiful. Lots of space and i like the open feeling of the cabin. We had problems with water pressure, the management was easy to get ahold of. I feel the cabin needs cleaning in hard to reach places. Drive is very steep but we made it up the drive. As with any home things need repairs in which we let the managment know. Otherwise we all loved the house and the view.

There is not 1 thing I would complain about this property. Would definitely stay again and suggest to others! We were stuck in Gatlinburg due to hurricane Ian. Unfortunately this property was booked so moved around to 2 other cabins that were no comparison!

Beautiful cabin up high on the mountain. Spacious. Comfortable. Lovely view from the front porches. Perfect location for Gatlinburg and exploring the area. The hot tub was a welcome retreat after some long hikes (although We were dive bombed a few times in it by giant hornets, which is just one of those things when you're in a wood cabin high in the trees I guess) we would absolutely stay again and I would definitely recommend to others. Thank you for having us on such short notice.

The view is worth the driveway
the driveway is steep and takes a little navigating- we were in a ford expedition and we managed it - in the rain the tires wanted to slip a little but not unmanageable- very beautiful cabin- charcoal grill is the campground style- not a regular backyard bbq grill- but we were able to cook both hanburgers and steaks- loved the porches and the large dining table-whole family loved the pool table and hot tub- beds are comfortable- overall we loved our stay- I have no complaints
