This home for eight is just a block away from Santa Cruz's breathtaking West Cliffs, with gorgeous views of the Pacific and soft, golden-sand beaches only moments from your door. Spacious front and back yards give you all the room you need to relax in the sunshine after a morning by the sea. Inside, wide windows and brightly colored walls give this home an open, energizing atmosphere that's perfect for a home base near the beach. Admire the hardwood floors and occasional potted plant as you head over to the sectional sofa or daybeds to relax. Wireless internet and a flatscreen cable TV make the living area a nice place to pass the time. The kitchen is only a few steps away and boasts everything you need for cooking in its plentiful wooden cabinetry. Make use of the dishware and stainless steel appliances to whip up a delicious meal for your family and friends, which they can savor at the breakfast bar seats for four or table seating for six. Leave cleanup to the dishwasher and head off to bed. Three bedrooms allow eight guests to stay at once. The master bedroom boasts a king-size bed and private flatscreen TV, with two queen-size beds in the second room and one more queen bed in the final room. Two bathrooms let you start the day with a refreshing shower, before sipping coffee in the kitchen and planning your next move. The house is one block from West Cliff Drive. It is a one story house in a neighborhood. There is plenty of parking, a nice kitchen, and room to move around in

Great neighborhood and location. Disappointed that a washer and dryer were listed in amenities, but we did not have access to them. Floors could have been cleaner

For the good: The location is amazing. One block from walking along the coast and four blocks from great coffee shops, markets, etc.
The bad: For dinner the first night I preheated the oven. When I opened, I was hit with a ton of massive chemical fumes from oven cleaner that had not been wiped out. The couch, as mentioned in a previous review, was incredible uncomfortable. The house is in need of serious TLC- mold on bathroom tiles, water spots on ceiling, etc. However, the biggest issue we had were ants- they appeared sporadically all along the baseboards, the bathroom tiles, etc. One of our party had them in their bed and when arriving home they were in some of the dopp kits. I called to let the company know and they asked for pictures then said it may be due to the weather. I understand that but we ended up leaving a day early, both due to the storm and one of our party had ants in their bed. With the amount we paid for this property, I was extremely disappointed.

This is an older property which is clear in the listing. The living room furniture is very old and soft. Hard to get out of and should be replaced. We were just there for Xmas and, unfortunately, the oven and stove went out; the microwave door did not work; the toaster oven was broken and we did not have instructions on how to access the laundry room. The next day a very competent handyman corrected all this except for the toaster oven.
The walk along W. Cliff is beautiful and only a short block away.
It generally worked for us with 6 adults and 1 kid 4 yrs. old and a baby. I would go there again if the furniture were updated.

This location is fantastic. Walking distance to the ocean, which you can see from the drive way. Nice neighborhood. Multiple excellent coffee shops very near by. The house is in need of a little repair, it's a little dated, the back yard is all weeds and the front yard has artificial turf with weeds growing through it. However, all of these short comings can be overlooked due to the location. I would absolutely stay here again.

We would definitely stay at this house again.
Pro: The location is amazing. It is one block from West Cliff Dr, and one mile from Natural Bridges. There is lots of light and big rooms, a nice front and back yard. It is one story. It is close to restaurants and coffee shops. The kitchen is big and better supplied than earlier reviews mentioned. The washer and dryer are available, but you need to ask for a separate code for the door. There was plenty of space for 6 adults and two children to gather and to have private spaces. The beds are comfortable. There was plenty of parking. There is streaming services on the TV in the living room, but the DVD is only in the master bedroom. We would stay again.
Con: This is definitely a beach house, not a resort. The couches are not very comfortable. The floors were dirty. There was a problem with the shower making it unusable, but they fixed it within one day. Bring your own shampoo and soap. The management was responsive to our issues.

Great location, lovely house, lots of space. The driveway was tight, but manageable. The neighbors are kind. Quick walk to the ocean overlook. Not too far from the wharf and boardwalk.

Not well maintained, a bit run down, amenities were not sufficient., no laundry, no beach towels. Location was great. Unuseable back yard. Weeds galore, nowhere to put clothes. No hangers in closets. Nice kitchen,, and well appointed. No one answered our call about the A. c. Unit. Beds were comfortable. We had a good stay but needed to rely on relatives in the area for many basic items.

The house is on a quiet street just one block from the bay -- easy walk to views, shops, restaurants. It would be hard to beat this location. Good layout for our family of 5 adults/1 toddler. Earlier reviews had me concerned about cleanliness, especially with a toddler in tow, but that was not a worry. The house is in general need of a refresh, but beds were comfortable and towels plentiful.

We enjoyed the house and yard very much for a family trip. The beds and furniture were comfortable and there were plenty of chairs for outdoor seating. Gorgeous walk to the cliff at the end of the road and not far away from great beaches and attractions. Check in and out was smooth.

Floors were dirty to walk on with bare feet. Plants/yards had not been kept up. Plants needed watering. Weeds everywhere. We could not use the back yard. No TV usage. Seniors like their news daily. The pictures led us to believe of a neat clean comfortable place to share time with the family.

We had many hairs all over the pillows and sheets. We sent pictures. Manager said her best housekeeper cleaned it. Doesn’t matter. She clearly didn’t change the sheets in the master bedroom. They offered $50 discount. Very disappointing. This is a spiking pandemic. No shame.

The location was great but the place really needed to be cleaner. The walls were dirty and the bathrooms smelled. Overall plenty of room and outdoor patio was the best spot.

The size of the house interior is sufficient for entertaining a group and it’s walking distance from ocean, but not too close to crazy crowds of the boardwalk. The kitchen is not stocked well enough to entertain or feed a large group with very outdated cookware. Bring your own washcloths and towels because there was dirt on most of them. Beds are comfy but backyard leaves much to be desired. There is a grill but nowhere to put food or sit. None of the “solar” lighting out front is in working condition and there is no fire pit so after dark, although there are chairs, you can’t see anything. Again, could be a fabulous place if they would invest a bit in it. Manager took a while to return our call but once she did, she was very helpful.

Beaches (at low tide) within walking distance. Beds comfortable and bathrooms nice. Recyclable pods of “soap", “shampoo" and “conditioner" were an attempt to "go green" but they were a joke. Much else needed serious help from the front patio (weeds and dead plants) to the living room (blinds broken, no rug) to the back patio (no tables or chairs at all - just a lone BBQ.

The location and neighborhood this house is in is gorgeous. You are a block away from a beautiful cliff view of the ocean. The trail leads you to all Santa Cruz has to offer. On the right is natural bridges and to the left of the lighthouse. All within a 10-15 minute bike ride away. Don’t forget to bring your bikes! Totally worth it!

Great Location
My family of 5 stayed here for a week with plenty of room. The location is the main reason we got this place and the main reason we are leaving a good review. There was a little wait at check in since we had to wait 15 mins after check in time for the cleaning people to leave. Was disappointed that they spent so much time cleaning but it still didn’t feel super clean. Everything felt kinda grimey. The kitchen was great and the cleanest part of the house. Tv in living room had access to all different streaming services. Ocean is right down the street. Will probably be staying here again.

Great House
The house was the perfect size for the 7 of us. The house was clean and neat. The beds were very comfortable and there were plenty of towels in the bathrooms. The location is great. We were able to take a short drive to the beach and downtown.

Great location and property
The house, property, and location were exactly as described and as expected. The ocean is just a block away, and it’s only a short walk to the beach.
We loved our stay and would stay again. Our only complaint was concerning the cleanliness. The notices I received repeatedly stressed how focused they were on cleaning and sanitizing the house before our arrival. However when we checked in, there were several indicators that the house had not been thoroughly cleaned. There was a stack of towels on one bathroom floor and wet, used towels hanging in the other bathroom along with a wet, dirty bathmat at on the floor. The garbage cans in the bathrooms and kitchen were full and we ended up emptying them in the outdoor bin ourselves. The floors had clearly not been swept or mopped as there were crumbs and hair in each room.

A Quiet Charming Retreat!
This sweet , cozy home is nicely decorated with lovely upgrades. It is in walking distance to beaches and Natural Bridges State park. It is also close to stores, bakeries and restaurants. There was plenty of room for 5 of us.

Well-appointed home, great location. Nice kitchen, plenty of space. We walked to Natural Bridges and had lots of good food, coffee and amenities right nearby, We felt safe and relaxed in this home.

Location is amazing. Quiet neighborhood, 1 block from the beach, ample bedrooms with 'extremely' comfortable beds! Bedding was clean and cozy. As location was something we were looking for, we were basically very happy with it. It most certainly needs an update/upgrade especially the kitchen.

Don’t waste your money to book this place
The location is the only good thing i can recall - miserable furniture, bugs and ants all over the place , was dirty when we came - the list is long , I have videos and picture that can scare any health inspector

The furnishings were not as advertised and I poor condition dining chairs needed replacing as well
The floors were dirty u walked on and feet were black, beds were fine no blinds on windows and shower leaked everywhere. Then owner accused us of breaking a tv that never worked fry pans were in terrible shape doubtful I would rent again

Disappointing house rental
The house was not as advertised on the VACASA website. The condition of the household property was poor. The furniture was not as pictured. The dining room chairs were old and stained and you could feel the springs. The bar stools were also not as pictured and only had 2 not the 4 pictured and metal. The kitchen was less then desirable to use if you were planning on cooking during your stay. The frying pans had divets in the teflon and unusable. Only a measuring teaspoon available - no tablespoon or even a liquid measuring cup. Not enough mugs/glasses for the amount of people able to stay in the house. No oven mitts to take anything you cook out of the oven. I improvised and used two bath towels. The vertical blinds were missing sections. You have to bring your own DVD's if you want to use the master bedroom TV. That is all that can be used and none available to watch. The SmartTV in the living room had to be reset multiple times if you wanted to watch anything other than the main TV channels. The only positive to this house is the the bathrooms, linens and towels were clean. The beds were also comfortable. Overall, I would not rent this house again nor would I rent through VACASA.
