About this house rental
Nestled in Surf City, this attractive house for $513 per night is a great option for your next trip. Relaxing three bedroom, two bath house on the oceanfront. Large screened porch and sun deck on the beach side. All the amenities of a home away from home with master bedroom with bath attached with King bed, second bedroom with queen bed and third bedroom with a double bed and twin bunk beds, ceiling fans in two of the three bedrooms, Wifi, 3 smart TVs, AM-FM stereo with outside speakers, fully equipped kitchen with quiet dishwasher, microwave, Keurig and Mr Coffee makers, refrigerator with ice maker and washer/dryer. Vinyl plank flooring in entire house. New king bedroom furniture. Covered parking and covered entry for the rainy days. Outside the house, there is a beachside deck with a kid/dog gate and beach front screened in porch with porch swing, a picnic table for oceanfront dining and rocking chairs to enjoy the ocean view, outside shower, sun porch and charcoal grill. No smoking. Pets allowed with fee. Towels and linens are NOT INCLUDED and must be pre-ordered. Dolphin Watch is located between the towns of Surf City Topsail Beach. Both offer many shopping and dining options. Also about a one hour drive to Wilmington and Wrightsville Beach. My cancellation policy is listed as a no refund policy, but if you need to cancel your stay and I can rent the dates you reserved I will refund your rent. Keywords:

Second time at this property. Had everything we needed. Shower heads are a little low but we made do. Very comfortable beds and furniture. Beautiful porch, deck and fantastic location!

Overall, we really enjoyed staying at Dolphin Watch. The home is exactly what we look for in a cottage on the beach. Comfortable, clean, and inviting in an old school way. Is it opulent? Nope. But it feels like your home away from home. Topsail charm without the prentenciousness. It truly has all you'll need in the kitchen to boil up some shrimp and grill some fresh snapper. As a big bonus in August, the AC ran perfect. My teenage daughters loved the hot water capacity too! The owner has stocked a homemade spice Cajun rub that is excellent!

My husband, our four kids, my mom, and our two dogs just spent an entire week at Greg’s place. We had the most fantastic time right from the start. The best part about the whole place is the amazing screened in porch that allowed us to be outside at all hours of the day, regardless of the weather, with a full view of the ocean. Everything was very clean, the beds were very comfortable, and there was plenty of room for all of us to spread out. We already can’t wait to return next summer. Thank you for allowing us to use your beautiful home.

This was our first time staying at this property and me and my family had a wonderful relaxing time. The screen porch was perfect for the kids to eat lunch outside at the picnic table and read in the swing and rocking chairs in the afternoons. The kitchen had everything we could’ve needed. Everything was clean and tidy. Great location. Quiet part of the beach, mostly other families. We loved being able to just walk down and be right on the beach to swim or fly a kite. Thank you for allowing us to stay. We would definitely book here again if we return to topsail beach.

We’ve rented many beach places over the years. The location of Dolphin Watch is the best of them all. A few steps down off the deck and you are on the beach…it was very nice!

There isn't one bad thing to say about this trip. The house was just right size on a beach that wasn't overcrowded. The weather was perfect during our trip. Two small thunderstorms in the evening after beach time was over. Great place to stay. Will definitely be looking to book a return trip 😁

This is the perfect beach cottage. It has an excellent view of the beach with immediate access off the front deck, has a wonderful screened in porch (and deck), clean, well equipped kitchen, hall bathroom was particular good as it was a large size and had excellent water pressure. I have nothing bad to say. Book this cottage!!

Excellent house for the four of us! We loved the views from screened porch and the deck. Water was great all week! Dogs loved being able to join us on vacation too. We loved having dinner on the porch table with the ocean breeze! Thanks for helping us make some great beach memories.

Excellent stay at Greg's place
I come to Topsail every year, and it is always my (and my family's) favorite time. This year it was just my kids, husband, and my parents, and we felt very at home. Greg's house was the perfect size, and had all of the things we needed to keep us comfortable. We LOvE the screened in porch and the ability to hang things inside it like swimsuits. The best part though, was how close the property is to the beach. As I said before we stayed at several houses and a lot of them have a very long walk to the beach even on the deck and stairs down to the beach... My parents are aging now and it's difficult for them to walk too much up and down a lot of stairs that are steep this was so perfect. Thank you again for having us!

Dolphin Watch
Everything about this place was accurately listed. The location was perfect and ocean front views were perfect. The covered porch and open deck provide a great space to enjoy the outdoors. The owner was nice and very responsive to any questions we had. It is far enough away from businesses and distractions, but close enough to be anywhere in 5-10 minutes. Would love to have stayed longer than two weeks, but it was time to go back to work! Maybe one day in the future.

Fantastic place to stay and relax
We loved our stay at Dolphin Watch. The sunrise is not to be missed. The property is well taken care of, and Greg is quick to respond to any questions that we had. There were many amenities available to use including beach chairs, sand toys, cooking items including pots and pans, books and puzzles.
Our dog, who typically is not comfortable in new places, immediately took to the house and felt comfortable exploring the house on his own.
Just the ability to sit out on the outside or screened in porch and watch the ocean was a dream come true. With it being wintertime, the beach was quiet, and we were able to relax and play in the sand.
The town of Surf City has several local places to grab a bite to eat or pick up some fresh seafood to cook at home.
We would not hesitate to book with Greg again if we were vacationing in the area.

Everything about it was incredible, the location (Literally on the ocean, you can't get any closer), very clean and organized, comfortable beds, incredible screened in patio with a swing that we loved, and then the regular deck off of that. It had everything we needed and more. Convenient to everything, very quiet location, hardly anyone on the beach when we went. The Owner was incredibly accommodating as we had dogs and they loved waking up for daily walks on the beach, they seemed depressed now that we aren't there anymore, LOL! The Owner was extremely communicative and we would not hesitate to stay here again and plan on actually making this location our yearly rental even though we live in the area now. You will not be disappointed.

Nice ocean front house
From rental to arrival, everything was smooth. We requested a late check out, with no problems. We saw dolphins swimming right off the back deck. It couldn't have been better.

The view could not be better. I did work in the mornings and with a cup of coffee and sitting at the table looking at the ocean...well, I wished I could work that way on a permanent basis...The screened in porch and outside porch were amazing. I noticed that other places along the beach didn’t have the same accommodations. Greg was there when and if needed for any questions.

OH MY WORD!!! THIS PROPERTY WAS MORE THAN WE EXPECTED!! ALL THE ROOMS WERE BEAUTIFUL! THE BEDS WERE SO COMFORTABLE, THE KITCHEN WAS STOCKED WITH MORE THAT WE COULD HAVE HOPED FOR!! THE BEST FEATURES WERE THE SCREENED IN PORCH AND SUNDECK!! THE VIEW FROM THE KITCHEN, DINING ROOM AND LIVING ROOM SPECTACULAR!!!! IMAGINE COOKING AND DOING DISHES WHILE BEING ABLE TO SEE AND HEAR THE AWESOME OCEAN!!! I WISH THIS HOUSE WAS OURS!!! WE WILL DEFINITELY RENT AGAIN; HOPEFULLY NEXT YEAR AND MANY MORE AFTER THAT!! Perfect house on the ocean! Large screened porch and open deck to enjoy. Not a huge house but just right for a small group like ours. Very spacious living space with wall to wall windows to enjoy the view.

Amazing View!
We had a wonderful Spring Break at Dolphin watch! The view can’t be beat! We saw beautiful sunrises every morning and saw dolphins every day! The water was crystal clear and the beach was clean. Our dogs loves it too! The gate was perfect to keep them safe and allow them to be on the deck with us! We loved having the screen porch too. The kitchen was well equipped.

Great Girls and "kids" weekend!
Relaxing weekend with friends and dogs. Directly on the beach....Literally steps! Beautiful views. The house was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen is extremely well equipped which was great as we cooked all weekend. It rained the day we arrived so the screened porch was perfect for people and dogs alike, to still be able to enjoy the sights and sounds of the ocean. The deck and the gate on the deck was super convenient to be able to relax with the "kids" outside in the sun without worrying about them going down to the beach to play, chase birds, make new friends or take themselves for a walk without us. The owners were extremely accommodating and accessible. I try to make it to the island a few times a year and this house will go on my short list for future stays.

This is an older home but well maintained and clean. Comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen, great TV’s and the view can’t be beat. The porch is amazing! The beach is right at the back door. The owner was great and responded quickly to questions. Will definitely book again!

The view was simply amazing and made it well worth the stay!!! Accomodations were nice and clean and worked well for a family of 6. Bed very comfortable. Good delivery and pick-up food options nearby. Greg very responsive to anything I needed. Excellent choice!

Lovely visit!
I rented this house for my parent’s to have a little getaway during covid. We all had separate accommodations nearby and the screened in porch was the perfect place to meet up. Still outside but blocked from the wind chill. The parents were pleased with the house and the ocean front view was amazing. Would love to come back!
