About this cabin rental
Nestled in Big Bear, this attractive cabin for $254 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. This lake view house is located in one of Big Bear's finest neighborhoods in Metcalf Bay near Pleasure Point Marine. The neighborhood is quiet and a beautiful place to walk with your family or pets. Boat, kayak, or jet ski rental is within walking distance from the house. We have a private backyard 7000 sf. that is completely fenced in. There is also a hot tub available for relaxing with 115 jets. There is a new large flat screen 55 TV 4k with internet access to on-line. A fully stocked kitchen looks out on to the lake and includes: pots and pans, dishware, coffeemaker , coffee grinder, microwave, new gas range, fridge and dishwasher. Laundry facilities on site. New hardwood floors throughout the newly remodeled home. All new furniture in all rooms. Master bedroom has a king size bed as well as a bunk bed, TV with DVD player. The other bedroom comes equipped with a queen size bed and an additional bunk bed for your guests. Private patio comes with gas grill, as well as Mediterranean style bar-b-ques. Las Vegas style game table available for your pleasure. We have generator on the site in case of power outage. very easy to use. our fireplace is electrical. We have central heating system. AC is available only summer time. we provide 2 sleds during the snow season. we have sliding area cross the street. Our house is situated as the first property in front of the road. The lake is right across the street, very accessible. The Lakeview always changes during different season .

Bedrooms are as described: one has a king bed, one has a queen, and each has a set of bunk beds. However, the king and queen beds are both shoved up against the wall, so difficult for 2 to access. The room with the king has no closet. The bathroom attached to the room with the king is the strangest of all: It looked like one large bathroom that had been divided into 3 rooms. One room had a very tiny stand up shower. One had the toilet and sink. The 3rd held washer and dryer. To get to the toilet room, you had to squeeze past the washer, which we accidentally turned on several times! And the door to the toilet room had a 3 inch gap at the top, so not much privacy.
Kitchen was lovely, well-stocked and fairly new.

The cabin was nice with a great view of the lake and mountain. The hot tub was very comfortable, as far as anything to do in this town though unless you go during skiing season your options are pretty limited. There are lots of board games. We had a good time lot of family bonding but we definitely understand what cabin fever means when you have little ones

I was pleasantly surprise at how much my family and I enjoy this property. Nothing fancy, but extremely comfortable. My boys sure did enjoy crossing the street and sledding at the lake. Would definitely stay again and recommend!

We’ve stayed here twice now and great communication with owner! Home is clean with a gated yard and nice jacuzzi! Directly across the street is a field for snow sledding. The home has all you need and is very close to the Big Bear Village and Alpine Slides! :) We would definitely like to stay there again!

We spent Christmas here with our two young kids, and everything was amazing! The cabin was more than spacious for all 4 of us. We never felt cramped. Beds were super cozy. The outdoor hot tub was such an extra bonus…with views of the lake and mountains! Location was safe and quiet and waking up to the lake directly out the kitchen windows was such a treat. Management was so nice and accommodating! Everything you could possibly need, was provided (coffee maker, toaster, cooking supplies,…). We will happily stay at this cabin for many holidays and years to come ❤️

Wonderful communication with the owner. Very clean and well stocked! The Jacuzzi was a perfect ending to a chilly day! We had three teenagers who enjoyed all of the board games and even got to build a snowman in the backyard! We really appreciated all the Christmas decorations and the Christmas tree, it definitely got us in the upcoming holiday spirit! We will definitely be back!

Great Getaway
This cabin suited us perfectly. The dogs enjoyed the enclosed back yard immensely, and we were so happy to have a place to let them out safely. We all loved walking in the neighborhood - it's a shame the lake is so dry and depleted, but it did make for some interesting places to explore, and the dogs loved the smells. The cabin has very comfortable spaces, although we mostly used the guest bathroom rather than the one off the master bedroom, as it was a little more spacious. The living area is great for crashing in after a day of hiking - so comfortable, and with lots of entertainment options. The kitchen was fine to cook in - all the basics were there. Grill was great too. The hot tub is amazing! Would fit several people comfortably, and has fun disco lights.

Great place in Big Bear
We have stayed at this property for 4 years now and have had a wonderful time with no problems. The cabin is well equipped and we love the hot tub! You can see the lake and marina from the kitchen window and that’s great since we always rent a boat. Communication with the owner has always been quick and easy. We have recommended to friends and will definitely be back. Next year.

We had a great time with our toddler and dog at this house! The location was great to stay away from crowds and easily access snow to play around and sled in across the street at the lake bed. There were a few minor cons. The trash can doesn't have a lid so if you have kids and/or dogs, that can be an issue. The toilet seat in the main bathroom is also broken. This is not a cheap rental and these are inexpensive fixes so it just shows a lack of care imo but not a dealbreaker. There is no filtered water in the rental but there is a convenience store right at the corner to purchase some. The master bathroom is freezing and the shower is very small. There is a shower/tub combo in the main bathroom though so it wasn't a problem for us.
All in all, it suited our needs very well and we would gladly stay again.

Went on winter, snow everywhere. The house was warm, comfortable, well distributed and very well located.
Owners were easily reachable and friendly.
The only issue was Big Bear Lake itself: too crowded, hard to drive around, not enough parking places.
But definitively planning to return hopefully soon.

Great Location, Room to Spread Out, close to town and activities
Located directly across from the lake, even though low water levels mean no water view, the location is great. 5min. walk to Boulder Bay Park, plus longer walks in this quiet neighborhood. 5min drive to the Alpine Slide/Snow play area, 10min drive to the village and lake, to bike or walk the Pedal Path, or do different hikes near the Discovery Center. 12min drive to the zoo (Moonridge Animal Park). There is a lot to do in easy reach, but if you want to just sit back and relax, there is a sizeable sectional sofa and recliner facing a large smart TV with all streaming services available, a PS4 with 2 controllers, and a jacuzzi tub in the backyard. The kitchen is well-stocked, and the gas range was excellent. The cabin also had a crockpot, roaster, and other various cooking appliances.
The fully fenced backyard is perfect if you have small children or a dog, as it is secure and private, and safe.
As with all rentals, there are a few quirks. The main bedroom is spacious, but the laundry room is accessed through it, and the adjoining bathroom is through the laundry, arranged as a separate shower room and separate toilet & sink room. There are a few knick-knacks that probably don't need to be on display for renters (example: the statuette of the nursing mother holding her baby placed in the kitchen. Maybe it has sentimental value for the owner?)
NEEDED: 1.) Steak Knives. This cabin has only a few kitchen knives and NO steak knives. We grilled steaks twice during out weeklong stay and really had difficulty trying to use butterknives on our steaks. 2.) Pool towels for the jacuzzi. The provided just enough towels for four people, but when you are staying for a week, and using the jacuzzi, additional towels would be a nice touch. There is a dryer available, which we utilized, but it would be a nice bonus not to HAVE to do laundry while on vacation.
Overall, I would recommend this property. It is clean, comfortable, spacious and roomy enough to relax, and close to all attractions.

They had lots of the kitchen things could need if eating in or grilling. Overall just a great place & liked that while The street it’s on can be busy at times never bothered us & still nice to not be so close to main part of town. We had fun taking the drive around the lake & did the charter fishing for our boys! What a great experience! Would definitely stay here again!

Property is well stocked with all you need, great backyard and hot tub. You can see the lake from the property, kid and pet friendly. The owner always answers and check in is super easy. We’ll definitely be staying here again!

Kids & dogs loved it!
Clean, comfortable & a securely fenced in yard, plus a hot tub! My toddler loved hearing the birds during the day & frogs at night. We had 2 small dogs with us & it was perfect for them. We will come back again. Thank you!
