The room was supposed to be 13 square meters, in fact 6-7, no more.
There is no a window at all.
The reception is open from 10 am, if you want to check out earlier and get your deposit back, you must arrange this in advance.
Stains on bed linen.
You are not even allowed to eat in your room.
There is nothing to recommend here, so I don’t!

staff is nice
My room is near the common room/area and it was very noisy all day long, literally all day, i would say only 4am to 7am was relative quiet, i completely couldn't sleep at all. The shower facilities and washroom was poor and the towels were very dirty. Compared to all hostels I have been staying in all these years, this was the worst.

Air conditioning unit inside the apartment with a fan to help with high heat
LITERALLY THAT IS IT
The water pressure in the bathroom is insane I washed my hands there once and only in the kitchen after. I don't think they need the 2 tables in the kitchen mostly with the size and the other sleeping/living room area. There is potential with some care but currently not present.
LOCATION IS NOT 83 ELM GROVE AVE (Check in) but 633 QUEEN ST WEST (actual apartment)
Extremely frustrating and annoying when the booking could have stated it, just caused so much more anxiety than needed. The directions given were basic and not helpful at all - not till after we called back we were given a helpful pointer. The location is a door....... the amount of gas that was wasted and time was unneeded with better planning and directions given from the start. It's beside a mushroom store and a Japanese restaurant with a sign that has a red light which you can see from inside the apartment.
Parking is hell. Told behind the building so once we couldn't find the place we thought parking would be easier being off the busy street but no. No signs no helpful pointers just all no trespassing signs. Only good thing was there was 2 of us so one got out on foot and lucky found the place. We were lucky that a nice couple told us we couldn't park where we did once we found the place or we might be towed by morning. Just stressful.
The bedroom was unbearably hot with a window right out to bricks so you get great airflow (you get nothing). Couldn't possibly sleep there and had to sleep in the other bedding area in the living room with bamboo blinds that cover nothing and don't go all the way down - yes it's not on the street but privacy is still need and mostly with the red light sign it would be nice and an easy fix

Not worth the price it is to be honest.
My bed had a huge dip in and hurt my back. Two of the staff members were really rude and unpleasant to deal with. The window in our room didn’t close properly (was super cold at night)

The most important feature of this lodgement is the location on Queen St., one of the busiest and most picturesque streets in Toronto. The small apartment has everything you need for a short stay (appliances, cutlery and dishes included). It is well isolated from the cold outside. It has a small AC unit, which is entirely sufficient for the space.
The office and the unit are far apart so you have to consider this when booking, especially if you arrive late like myself. The staff was kind, but they did charge me a late check-in fee of CAD 20. On the other hand, they provided complimentary transport to the lodgement despite the late hour. Another drawback is the noise, which can be annoying, especially at night. Since the house has been divided into three small units, there might be some noise from the neighboring guests. Finally, there were some insects in the bathroom, not anything ugly, but even though everything seemed very clean to me, I saw small insects always at night.

The bunk bed was more comfortable than most hostels I've previously stayed in.
The hotel had an outdoor area that I enjoyed spending time on in the evenings.
The bathroom was not clean. The same buildup and marks stayed in the shower during my 5 night stayand the caulking had some black mold. The baseboards needed some serious dusting/wipe down and the floor corners were gross too; the dirt build up did not go away during my 5 night stay so clearly no one is doing a decent clean. The ventilation also sucked - I felt like I sweating before I finished changing after coming out of the shower.

Die Lage und der wirklich schöne große Balkon.
Die Sauberkeit war wirklich unterirdisch.
Der Fußboden war dreckig. Die Bettwäsche war auch dreckig und es gab nicht genügend Handtücher.

we booked a hotel but when we got there they told us our stay was in an airbnb 30minutes away
we didn't like that the location we booked the hotel in wasn't the actual place we were getting to stay in. misleading, off-putting and frankly it felt illegal

The convenient location as it is very close to downtown Toronto, and there are several stores, restaurants, amenities nearby.
Cleanliness was not well maintained. I wish the cleaning crew could have done a better job in cleaning.

There wasn’t really anything that I likes about it.
It was dirty. It’s like a wanna be hostel. the bathrooms for my room weren’t working. Honestly, it felt so grossI just want to sleep and get out of there. no space to lock up your stuff. clearly a population of long time visitors, makes you question you safety a bit. The front desk is only worked from 10am to 10pm.

helpful staff, good communal facilities like the kitchen and lounge
the property was a long way out of town and you have to take the street car to go to the city

location is really good, a lot of nice restaurants in the street and not too far from downtown.
the private room is a room in a dorm, so you still have to go through the dorm and also use the dorm facilities. the vibe in this hostel is off, it’s not a place for travellers but it feels people are staying here because they need an accommodation while they work.

Nothing really did I like, except the receptionist was friendly
First impression matters and obviously the impression I got when I walked in was awful. The entrance of the place stinks and the whole facilities are terrible, except the washroom was okay. The make money everyday and cannot put some aside to make some renovation. It is nothing to write home about. And why would the put male and female in the same room? I think that is so disrespectful.

The place smelled like weed and the bed sheets were stained.
The lady in our dorm had her videos on max volume all night and refused to turn off the sound when we complained about it. We ended up having to ask one of the workers there at 3 a.m. to help us. We didn't get a new room, but the lady did turn down the volume (it was still pretty unbearable anyway that my friend had to leave the room). I wished they had policies for quiet time so guests can have an actual rest there.
