We had a great experience using Andy’s property. There were four of us and the space was ideal for the 5 days we were in Austin. The home is in East Austin and the main points of interest are all ~$10-$15 in Ubers away. There are coffee shops (Houndstooth, Terrible Love) that are walkable, albeit not in the most walkable friendly spaces at times. Andy was a great host, quick to respond and we appreciate him letting us stay in his home!

Very nice place for 3 adults, but could easily fit more. Well appointed, very clean and comfortable and has all the amenities you could want! Close enough to downtown and the action without being in the action! Andy was very responsive and helpful.

The property was clean and the neighborhood was quiet. Also liked that the beds were comfortable and provided natural light with their big but private windows.
I would stay here again, it’s a quick drive to downtown Austin, maybe 7 minutes.
Overall, we were happy with our stay here.

This is a nice property that accommodated 6 adults no problem. Open space with a good size kitchen!

My family of 3, my mother in law and my brother all stayed in this property for 5 days. It was roomy and comfortable. The kitchen is spacious and well-equipped for cooking simple meals. There is a shared driveway that you have to negotiate so best not to rent a huge SUV.

Christmas getaway in Austin
Nice place! Appreciate that it sleeps a lot of people and is pet friendly. Having 2 queen beds in one bedroom was a little awkward for two couples, so keep that in mind when planning your stay.

We stayed here for a month before a move. The property had what we needed for our temporary stay. We loved the location as it is right by a trail and several restaurants.

Cute East Austin Location!
This is a beautiful home in East Austin! My friends and I loved the kitchen, comfy beds, and all the bathroom space. It was super clean and well suited for 10 people!
Only downside was that they were doing construction work on the street and the location is a longer walk to coffee shops/restaurants.

Great Football Weekend
Casa Moderna was clean, convenient, and spacious for a larger group even with such a small footprint. Initially was worried upstairs bedroom would be too hot but turned the AC and fan on and it cooled down just fine. Only two parking spots so we did have to park some cars elsewhere but it wasn’t an issue. 10/10 would recommend.

A Diamond In The Rough!
WOW! Pleasantly surprised with this VRBO home. Not familiar with the term "Gentrified", we pulled into the neighborhood and were a little skeptical of the mix of really cool homes/condos and then some not so cool homes/condos/stores, etc. Contacted Andy (the owner) to share our concern and he re-assured us we were in a safe place and all would be good and it was! Great location as it is both close to the airport and close to downtown Austin, restaurants, running trails, Thunderbird Coffee (which was awesome (I'm from Seattle if that tells you anything), etc. etc. The place had everything we needed and was very comfortable. Andy was super responsive and even let us check out later than the normal time. We all had a great trip. Thanks Andy! : )

Exemplary VRBO Rental
I didn't show my family any photos of this place so when they walked in, their jaws dropped. It's like a model home--super-cute, modern Southwestern (quintessential Austin!), everything clean and tidy in its place, just the right amount of decorative touches, and most importantly, no weird personal items. It felt like a boutique hotel. We stayed 4 nights and the size - 3BR/2.5BA - was perfect for us and our two teenagers (boy and girl - each got their own room). The provided amenities completely met my expectations - dependable Wifi, plenty of towels, basic toiletries, cleaning supplies, kitchen/food prep equipment. The location was awesome--just 5 min down the street to Franklin BBQ, so it was easy to roll out of bed and into the queue first thing in the morning. And close to everything else that we came to Austin for -- more BBQ at John Mueller, Hopdoddy burgers, local coffee roasteries, happy hour at Salty Sow and Moonshine, tacos, kolaches, Whole Foods flagship. Communication with the owner was easy and very clear - I received access instructions the morning of our arrival, along with other house information. I can't believe there are no other reviews for this place - maybe it just wasn't available before. This is only our second time using VRBO, but we will never go back to a hotel!
