This apartment was very clean and easy to find in a nice neighborhood. The kitchen was well supplied with utensils, the bathroom was clean and had nice tiles, and the eating area was large. The queen bed was comfortable and with the windows closed, nice and quiet. My wife and I had a very difficult time twice opening the door when it was locked. We felt the door code worked but it seemed the weather strip sealing the door stuck very firmly on two hot days (75 degrees) in Anchorage. The owner was on a plane when we first arrived, so her husband was reached after about 30 minutes. Otherwise, this is a great unit to stay in. If the door "sticking" issue gets resolved, I would give it a 5 star instead of my 4 star rating.

Everything was great! If I could make just one suggestion, it would be to add a full length mirror. Maybe mounted on one of the doors, if that’s possible? Other than that it’s a clean, cozy, and wonderful apartment with everything you need in working condition. Definitely would stay again. Thank you!

The apartment is clean, quiet at night, and top notch linens. I had to stay for work, just needed an affordable clean place to crash, this was perfect and would happily use again. Very hot and good pressure shower that was a nice treat.

I have some recommendations. The sidewalks have huge cracks. The windows need screens. An elongated toilet would be helpful for men. The sheets had multiple bleach stains and oily spots from previous residents. The posts holding up the stairs are rotting. The carpet had big dark stains. Positives: The fans were helpful, towels plush and clean, bed comfortable, sofa was nice. Google maps led us to the wrong property.

We really enjoyed our stay at North Star since we were in and out alot we appreciated the quiet location at night. The kitchen was great and had everything that we needed since we cooked quite a few meals in it. The bed was comfortable and we did not want for anything. We would definitely stay there again....the owner is a freindly and helpful person.

All the basics needs of a one bedroom apartment were provided. While it lacked in home washer/dryer, there was a shared apartment laundry coin operated machines were available. Very pleasant apartment. Host was very helpful in answering questions.

Great central location. The apartment is dated, but in great working order, well-stocked and very clean and comfortable. When you’re surrounded by incredible scenery who needs trendy decor! Would definitely book again!

Overall this was a very clean and comfortable rental unit, except for the carpeting which has seen better seen better days. The kitchen had all the necessary supplies for those who choose to cook. It was a decent, workable kitchen. The bed was very comfortable. The location was conveniently located as long as you have a car, but was surrounded by a lot of major roads which did not make walking easy. However the Chester Creek trail is only about a block away, and that was nice for walking. It was a relatively quiet unit, with the exception of one night. The sound of stomping feet above (assumed it was a child running around) lasted until 1am. All my inquiries to the property manager where responded to politely and immediately. I think for the price of this rental, it was well worth it.

My long-distance boyfriend and I stayed here for the weekend, they were pretty last-minute plans but we were lucky to get such a good last-minute booking for only a couple hundred. If you're planning to book just know they don't allow service animals or any pets. It's a good location in the middle of Anchorage, a quick 10-minute drive to most of the fun stuff.
