North Shore end unit with wrap around lanai on Secluded Beach
About this condo rental
Note: 30 day minimum. This building is currently undergoing renovation work that will, at times, involve noise on weekdays during the hours that most guests are out enjoying the island. The work will not be consistent. It will be dependent on several variables including weather and the location of the work on the building. You may not be affected at all. If you choose to make reservations and find the noise not to be acceptable, please contact me before your departure and a full refund will be issued for the number of nights that you departed before your scheduled checkout date. Also, there will be a time period, when the condo will be unavailable, but a time frame has not yet been determined. There will usually be a two month warning for that. Oahu is called the 'Gathering Place' and is home of Waikiki, Diamond Head and Pearl Harbor. The windward side retains the subtle feeling of old Hawaii, a Hawaii before the multi-story hotels and condos of Waikiki and the urban traffic, hustle and bustle of Honolulu. It still has that wonderful sense of 'Aloha' that you are welcomed and a friend. Pat's a Punalu'u is about 30 miles from Waikiki and the Honolulu International Airport. The condo sits on a private, reef-protected beach, which is great for kids. The water is about waist to chest deep along the beach and is excellent for snorkeling. There is also a fresh water swimming pool, and outdoor shower. You are 45-minutes from the nightlife of Waikiki or snorkeling at Hunauma Bay. Our one-bedroom "end unit" with a huge wrap-around lanai can accommodate up to five guests. It has a full-size kitchen and a washer and dryer...though you will probably be "living" in T-shirts, shorts and swimsuits. The condo has ceiling fans, cable TV, stereo and lots of books - including many guidebooks to Hawaii. We provide beach chairs, towels, a beach umbrella, ice chest and other items for your trips to the beach. All you need is your sunscreen and swimsuits. Please email for availability. Great location! You’re not close to the tons of traffic of Waikiki and easy 30 min to Shark’s Cove and North Shore Beaches! Lots of close great food trucks, Polynesian Cultural Center, and Gunstock Ranch for riding. Having the beach right at your door step and listening to the waves crash with the wonderful breeze was incredible! We also saw lots of turtles just 20 yards or less off the beach!!

The property host was so responsive to any questions or needs that we had from the time we made our reservation and all throughout our stay. It is an older building, however the unit is updated, the grounds (pool, lawns, picnic tables) are wonderful, and it is right on the beach! Great value!
The location was perfect, easy and quick access to North shore beaches, PCC, Kaneohe and so much more laid back than Honolulu. The airport was a 45 minute drive. Grocery store in Laie nearby where we got groceries and enjoyed making some meals at home (and saving some money by doing so)
We would definitely stay here again when we visit Oahu!

Great value, great location

This is a old property with a good location, right on the beach. There is noisy construction going on.
The host is very helpful. I was unable to open the door due to a rusted keypad, and she fixed it right away.
The unit needs several repairs, including clogged drains, non-working remotes, non-working sliding door.
But you can swim with turtles and do some fish watching, so good overall.

A view to love
Love the spaciousness of the unit and that it was a corner with the wrap around lanai. The view did it for me. The unit is very well equipped. great place to relax
The condo was clean and had everything we needed. Kathy is great to work with and is wonderful to work with. She informed me there would be some remodeling construction going on and offered to relocate us to a different condo if needed. We chose to stay here and we have no regrets. The beach was right outside and it was beautiful. The pool was great and the construction didn't bother us at all. It was about an hour drive to our excursions but that wasn't a problem. We enjoyed the drive and seeing the coast road and the mountain road. We found some nice food trucks and a great shave ice place close by. We would definitely stay here again.

Very pleasant stay. Great, corner balcony, views of beach/ocean through 2 walls. Secluded entry, quiet surroundings. We enjoyed the amenities and the great attributes of this condo. Only request to owner/management, please replace the sliding door screens, so the doors can be opened at night, for cool breezes, without allowing bugs in. Only words of caution, if you are a light sleeper, plan to sleep on sofa-bed as the road noise in the bedroom lasts all night. All that said, we look forward to being able to stay again.

Hole in bathroom wall was duct taped closed. The window in living room was missing a glass louver, allowing cold air in. The sliders were extremely hard to open, one slider took both of us to open & close. The key was not in lock box, delaying us entry to property. Overall great view & fully stocked with all amenities needed for a beach stay.

This condo is clean, comfortable and has amazing views. We were debating between Wikiki and here. We made the right choice. The condo in on the beach and close to lots of other great beaches. The views are incredible.

Yearly Getaway
We have been staying at Pat’s for 6 consecutive years now and we thoroughly enjoy it! We go there to relax and love the remoteness and the beautiful beach!

Very impressed
I had some problems with the tv in the bedroom , I texted the owner for instructions , before I set my tablet down someone was knocking on the door .
The place was showing it's age, but was everything that we had hoped for.
Location was fantastic . People were great . Never felt anything but safe.
Had lots of fun.

nice quiet beach shady propety
I knew it was an older complex going into it, but I am not sure I was prepared for the overall feel of the property and location. all over the sides of the roads were abanded cars, homeless tents, no real food options close by. There was a terrible raw sewage small in front of the building and parking lot. the guard said it should hopefully be fixed soon, but it was so bad smelling. Like most Hawaiian properties no air conditioning, there were a few fans which was nice. we had to open our bedroom window to sleep but only part of the window would open it was very rusty. Then when open the road noise was incredible, sirens, trucks all night long. We did enjoy being able to use the kitchen and a few beach accessories. the boogie board was nice. all snorkels were broken, but we bought a new one. The snorkeling out front was actually really great t here was a nice reef and lots of fish. no real waves, but we enjoyed going to pounders up the road. It was very windy and frequent rainshowers everyday. we ended up driving to the other side of the island almost everyday to play and find the sun. Everything takes so long driving, so that is why we would not stay on this side of the island again.

GOOD MORNING SUNSHINE
Unbelievable ocean view sunrises! Kathy was the best property manager anyone could ask for! The onsite maintenance/manager Jay, is a great host! A real local, could answer all our questions. Very, very clean, dish washer, washer, dryer, water toys! Great location, between Polynesian Cultural Center and Kualoa Ranch on the North Shore. Thank You for saving our family trip to the islands, would definitely stay again. Mahalo

A little disappointed
Starting with elevators- need a good cleaning! Front door of unit disgusting- needs sanding & painting. Inside - huge struggle to open one of the patio doors so we left it closed. Outdoor patio furniture / needs cleaning & tremclad paint the list goes on & on - we will send full email to Kathy when we get home

Enjoyed our stay
This property had a very affordable nightly rate, but the fees added up quickly. Also, while the property is right on the ocean, it is also on the main highway. I’d suggest earplugs to minimize the sounds of traffic at night. I am glad we were able to experience the quieter side of the island and have a lovely beach to look out on.
