About this house rental
Nestled in South Padre Island, this charming house for $1,098 per night is a great choice for your next break. Welcome to our newly remodeled Marineros Beach House! Come spend time and make memories with your loved ones. Our property location is perfect. It is within walking distance from the beach, a Super Market, souvenir shops, and island entertainment. Top Half of Home Top half has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, comfortable living room, full kitchen & dining area, and front & back covered balconies. The master bedroom has a king size bed and a master bathroom. This master bedroom has a comfortable sofa chair to relax as you look out the back balcony. It has French doors that lead out to this back balcony. The guest bedroom has a queen size bed and a walk-in closet. The kids' bedroom has a twin bed and a bunkbed. The living area is very spacious to entertain family. The kitchen is fully equipped with basic amenities and is next to the dining area which has French doors leading to the back balcony. In this spacious and long back balcony, the family has access to the pool and grill area downstairs using the outside spiral staircase which leads to the bottom. The upstairs has a washer and dryer too. Bottom Half of Home Bottom half has two bedrooms, a bonus room to the master, two bathrooms, comfortable living room, and a full kitchen & dining area. This lower level has easy access to the backyard swimming pool and charcoal grill. The remodeled master has a queen bed, new bathroom and a bonus room with a futon. It is a perfect quiet space to retreat and relax. This room leads out the swimming pool and patio area. The new guests’ bedroom is large with two queen beds and lounging space. It has its own dedicated A/C unit for independent climate control. The living room is comfortable to enjoy watching T.V. and playing games. The kitchen is fully equipped with its basic amenities. The dining area looks out to back covered patio. It too has French doors leading out to the backyard. The backyard has a swimming pool, charcoal grill with an outdoor sink for outdoor cooking or fish cleaning station for those who enjoy fishing. Just like the top it has a utility room with a washer and dryer. Our home has sufficient parking in the front. Our home has outdoor staircases to access the top and the bottom from the front or the back of the house. *Base rate is up to eight guests. Additional guest will be charged a nightly rate per guest. The house has a 12-guest maximum occupancy. *No stairs inside between the two floors. A short-term agreement needs to be completed as soon as you book. MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OLD TO BOOK. This property is registered with the City of South Padre Island Permit No. 2023-2493. Taxes collected is 17% for the following: 6.0% - State of Texas Hotel Occupancy Tax 8.5% - City of South Padre Island Hotel Occupancy Tax 2.5% - City of South Padre Island & Cameron County Venue Tax

We loved the house and the people were great to work with! No heated pool which was a bummer, but the rest was great. Right next to grocery store and walking distance to just about everything!

This property was in a nice location convenient to: grocery, restaurants, conveniences, coffee/tea shop and beach, which was a short walk to our beach access. We like having the two-apartment arrangement with each bathroom arranged for convenient use by each bedroom occupant. We used the lower dining and living area as our central gathering, and it was very accommodating. There was a short supply of large dishes, but we managed by using the medium sized ones in a mix and match arrangement. And for me these beds were the most comfortable I have had in the last few placed we have stayed during travel. The listing should be clearer about the access to the upper apartment, it was not a problem for us, but all access does require outdoor traversing, even in rain, which we had, and made us note this fact. It is a very good beach accommodation for family and organized groups on holiday.

Very short walk to the beach. Beach was very clean. Nice set up for my adult children and family. Separate upstairs and down stairs accommodations. The house was clean with the majority of all necessities available. Grocery store is down the block and very convenient. Great location.

We visit South Padre every year and this was one of the best places we have stayed. The house was spacious, clean, and in a great location. The only downside was that the pool was more like a hot tub with the TX heat so the adults did not swim. We would definitely rebook earlier in the summer. Great spot!!

It was a very nice property with great location. If we needed something from the store it was walking distance ,but almost everything was walking distance from there. I would highly recommend this property for anyone visiting SPI.I appreciate the host they are good people.

The property was clean, it had more than enough room for my family, super close to the water/beach access. The house had all the amenities that we wanted! Much better then renting a hotel room!! The property manager Blanca met us at the property for check-in, she was super nice and went over every detail of the property. Communication was excellent! We highly recomend this property if you are looking for a nice/peaceful family vacation/getaway!

What an amazing VRBO duplex! We had two families, four adults 8 kids ( 17, 17, 14, 14, 13, 13, 11) and we had plenty of room. We would highly recommend this place and can’t wait to come back again! Both duplexes are spacious, clean, and inviting with the huge sofas and two decks with places to sit. The pool was great to relax it. It is the perfect size for 6-8 people at one time. Between the two units, it was great having two kitchens, two master bedrooms, 4 total bathrooms, two living spaces, and two washer/dryers to use.
Blanca the property manager was great at communicating with us and was patient in waiting for us to arrive when we underestimating how long it would take to get over the bridge during rush hour. She made sure everything was ready for us with cable working well.
This duplex is ideal for walking distance to great beach location, grocery store, food, shops, and brewery.
The kitchen was stocked enough, but I would recommend brining paper plates and cups. I wish we would have bought silverware too, but we just ran the dishes everyday and it was manageable. We were able to do light cooking. Also, the water wasn’t hooked up to the fridge and the tap water wasn’t the best, so we bought bottled water. They provide an ice maker in the upstairs unit. You just need to keep an eye on it and transfer it. The bonus room with the futon off the master bedroom wasn’t as functional if you wanted a private master. We had an amazing time! Thanks!!!

Location is key at this property! Steps to the grocery and a block from beach access was all our families needed. Units were clean and the beds were comfy. Plenty of room for our party of 12. The Communication and flexibility with the owners was great. We had a lovely visit and hope to visit again.
Just a few things to note: only one roll of toilet paper per bathroom. No dishwasher or laundry detergent, no hair dryers, and no condiments in the kitchens (salt, pepper, oil, etc.). This wasn’t a deal breaker, but we would have come a bit more prepared if we had known ahead of time.

This property was amazing!! Enough space for my family of 12. Convenient to the grocery store and a small walk to the beach. Very comfortable. The two condos was super beneficial. My parents could crash out early in the upstairs condo and not be disturbed by the rest of us in the downstairs one. 2 showers on the outside to rinse off all the sand after a beach day was a plus for our large family. The pool was also an added plus. Will definitely stay again!

We enjoyed our time at the Marineros Family Beach House. The location was great, a quick walk to the Blue Marlin grocery store and a short walk to the beach as well. We had two families staying at the beach house a total of 5 adults and 5 kids and everyone was comfortable and had their own space to rest and relax. It was clean, organized, and you could tell a lot of care was put in to making sure you quickly felt at home. The hosts were responsive and answered all our questions. Great bathrooms with plenty of space in the both kitchens. If you are looking for a location to keep family close, but also not feel crammed together your search can stop here. Book and stay at the Marineros Family Beach House and make lasting memories.

We had a great time! The house was roomy and very comfortable and clean. It was a 5 minute walk to the beach, a 2 minute walk to the grocery store and also within walking distance of icecream and restaurants. We had a 3 year old so a lock on the top gate that provides access to steps going down to the pool would have been appreciated. It was our only worry.

Take pictures
We had a great time at the property until a few days after check out. We were told we damaged the property which we didnt. The towels we were accused of ruining, we never saw. The closet we "broke" into was fine when we left. We talked to the property manager upon leaving and none of this was mentioned. They have "pictures" so we can't argue. Take pictures when you leave so this doesnt happen to you!
Also, you may need extra pillows and towels. Towels are not the best quality. Two very small pillows per bed.

Great Location!
We rented this property to spend time with our father after having had oral surgery (tongue cancer). What a beautiful place, very spacious, centralized and just a walk away to the ocean, spacious balcony and the decor throughout was very nice. The owner was very nice. I would recommend this property to anyone, you won't be disappointed!

One day it was very windy and alot of tree debri blew into the pool and the scimmer had a crack in it and we couldn't use it. Bed in the bedroom upstairs squeeked really really bad and it would roll to the other end of the room during the night. Lol. We did laugh about that. House is beautiful and location is great. Little grocery store near by was really not that much more expensive so it was convenient to use it. Blanca was a very sweet lady and was very attentive to any needs that we had. Our plane was coming in early so they were kind enough to let us chexkin a bit early to get settled. If we were to return to the island we would use this house again. Thank you for the experience.

The house seemed renovated. It was perfect for our large family. Kids had a lot of fun in the pool. It is walkable distance from beach. We encountered minor issue which we did not notify the host about, we found a couple of roaches. The house is close to a grocery story which might be the reason why we noticed them.
