The property is beautiful. The home is very accommodating to families and we had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. We had to reach out to the property manager once due to a weather caused power outage and they offered to bring out flash lights and candles to us, however the power was quickly restored. We would definitely recommend this property to any of our family or friends staying in the area.

The property was clean and had an amazing view! Our group absolutely loved this property and would absolutely stay again sometime. The driveway was scary the first couple times but you definitely get used to it! Highly recommend

Location could not have been better and the view is pretty amazing. Just 5 minutes to downtown Gatlinburg with no traffic. You come down the mountain right next to Ripleys Aquarium. Take the bypass into Pigeon Forge. Really could not have had a better location. Thank you

The home was decorated so nicely for Christmas. It was 15 of us and everyone was comfortable. A couple of minor issues with the televisions and someone was out there immediately. We will be back Dec 2024!

Our family had a great time at the king of the mountain cabin! The location is excellent and very close to a lot of attractions. The cabin itself is cozy and spacious. We had a family of 15 and were able to fit everyone into the family room area. The property manager was friendly and communicated often. We had everything we needed for our stay! If you choose this place you won’t be disappointed!

We celebrated my dad's 94th birthday..... he had a main floor master suite. We have married children with toddlers and infants. The bedroom arrangement with each having its own bathroom couldn't have been more perfect. The gathering areas are also perfect for a large group. The host is amazing! The house was even decorated for Christmas - a sweet surprise! The driveway is challenging at times, but there's plenty of room. The bathrooms could use a little updating, but nothing to complain about. We hope to rent this home again!

We booked King of the Mountain for Thanksgiving because we wanted to rent a cabin that was big enough to COMFORTABLY hold all 16 of us, and this rental did not disappoint. There was ample seating for everyone- even on the deck (which is where we ended up eating our Thanksgiving dinner). The teens loved the pool table, arcade machine, video games, and even the poker table! The house is in a great location, we had someone drop us off at the bottom of the hill if we wanted to spend time in town without worrying about parking, and it was easy to avoid the Gatlinburg traffic to get to Pigeon Forge by taking the bypass. And you can't beat the view. Simply spectacular.
Bedrooms- first floor master was perfect for my 80 year old parents, and the fact that each bedroom had its own bath was great!
The driveway- this was my biggest source of anxiety before the trip, but as I drove around the area, I realized that almost all of the driveways up in the mountains were steep! It only took a bit to figure out how to best maneuver and park, and it really wasn't an issue at all. We comfortably parked 6 vehicles (1 minivan, 2 large SUVs, 2 small SUVs and 1 sedan). Pulling out of the driveway was not an issue as everyone drive really slowly on the road. After staying, my anxiety about the driveway dropped from a 10 to a 3!
Kitchen was fully stocked and beds were comfortable. Communication was excellent with host and we had no issues! Would stay here again without any reservations!

We loved King of the Mountain! Its very cozy while being able to hold a large amount of people. Great location as downtown Gatlinburg is so close and the national park is right down the street.

Beautiful views! Very nice property. It was great that everyone got their own bathroom. Main level was very large...just like pictured. 3 full-size sofas and oversized chair gave us plenty of room to hang-out together.

We loved our stay here!
The location is so close to downtown Gatlinburg, and the cabin itself is gorgeous and fit our 12-person group very comfortably. We had four cars and a motorcycle that fit just fine in the driveway (the driveway is definitely steep, but very doable). Our drive into town was a very quick 3-minutes, which made our daily activities a breeze.
The cabin was very clean when we arrived, and when I say this cabin is fully stocked, I mean it - everything from extra blankets, to travel-sized shampoos/soaps, to kitchen appliances, I've never stayed in a vacation rental that was this well-stocked. The living room furniture is very comfortable and well-kept, and the lower-level game room was an awesome plus. We had a 1-year-old with us as well, and the baby amenities were great to have on hand so we didn't have to bring a ton of stuff (pack-and-play, umbrella stroller, booster seat, and baby gates).
Our concierge, Lindsey, and the owner, Eric, are the best! They checked in with us prior to and during our stay with any questions we had about the property and surrounding area. They were so attentive and really made sure we had the best experience possible. I cannot rave about them enough!

Our family takes a vacation every year over Labor Day Weekend. We are a large group spread out all over the country. We love to come together to cook meals, play games, and just spend time together. The cabin was perfect for all of our needs.
The space was awesome with enough space for everything we needed including a quiet place for the kids once it was bedtime. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked - better than most places we have been before.
My only complaint is the listing makes it seem like the pool is immediately accessible. It isn’t. And the driveway is very steep which makes running around to pool or anywhere else inconvenient. That was not an issue for most of us (I never planned to leave the cabin after grocery shopping), but the young adults with us complained about the steepness of the driveway. Just be aware of that if you’re planning a trip where you are going to run to and from attractions. However - that was such a small part of the weekend, I still give this place 5 stars plus, plus, PLUS!!!
Also, the hosts/concierge was very responsive when I had a couple of questions. I was beyond pleased with this experience.

We were not comfortable at all, the bed sheets were dirty, comforter looks like 10 years old and wearing off, sofas were dirty and smell terrible, all the furniture were broken, anything you touch falls off, deck was so old and dirty, couldn't seat there to enjoy the view. We had small kids and wanted to watch tv but it didn't work. Wifi connection was very poor, didn't get wifi downstairs at all. Kitchen had coffee machine but didn't work, many of the supplies were missing. In the picture there were swing on the deck but there wasn't any at all. Parking was difficult for 5 cars and the description says you could park 7 cars? Nothing like it described and showing in the picture. Everything outdated, broken, and old. We wanted to leave as soon as we saw the place, but we already paid for it and we were a large group to find anything in last minute was difficult. If someone would at least mention something in their review, it would have been great savings for us.

We had an excellent stay at you VRBO. Coming from Ohio we needed a day to learn how to manage the steepness of the driveway. The checkin and the checkout were smooth. Our 7 kids really enjoyed the pools and the Dollywood Stampede. The Great Smokey NP was beautiful! There were more than enough entertnment options. It was a great week for our families.

The house has a great arrangement for a large family. There were 10 adults and 9 kids in our family group and all were very comfortable with their sleeping and bathroom needs. The view is awesome! We even saw a black bear on the property! We spent every day hiking and finding swimming holes in the park and the house had good access to the park. We did enjoy one afternoon at one of the clubhouse pools. The owner was very responsive to some small maintenance issues, but these did not interfere with our fun experience.

We had 18 people for a family vacation. The house was great and fit us all. Location was about a 8 minute drive to downtown and central to everywhere we wanted to go.

Our family and I had a great time on property. House was perfect for our family of 11 adults and 9 children. Very comfortable living areas. Thank you for a memorable vacation!

The cabin was absolutely beautiful and had every thing we needed. However, it is not handicapped friendly. The main entrance steps are hard to climb for any one with any mobility issues. All the showers are in a step over tub. They did provide us with a slide over shower chair with is the only way my husband and myself (age 75) could use the shower. The driveway is awful. Very steep. The road up to the cabin is awful. Many turns, no guardrails. Very nerve wracking. The road to the left coming out of the driveway is much better. Plenty of bedrooms and bath rooms. My grandchildren loved the game room. Very nice outside porch area. Kitchen well stocked. The hot tub was great. The check in process was easy. Even though we loved the cabin, we will not be back due to the drive way and the road leading to the cabin.

Great property with great views, attentive owners, great communication. Highly recommend.

While the home was as pictured there were items that could be improved such as outlet cover broken in dining room, outside lights and driveway lamp broken. Could use a fresh coat of paint. Also provide TV instructions, 4 remotes in living room and not sure how to use them.

I have stayed in many cabins/chalets in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge over the last 20 years and this cabin was as nice as any of them or nicer than most. When you factor in the location and view, it is close to the top of my list.
What's even better was the communication between the owner and the concierge! I've NEVER had such great communication. They were very responsive before the trip, during, and after as well! Our whole group honestly couldn't have been happier with the cabin, it amenities, and location. We plan to come back!
Thank you!

We loved the cabin. Had a great time and everything we needed was right there.

I overall loved our stay here, all my family and friends enjoyed the stay comfortably. Every room has their own restroom which is a BONUS. That was everyone’s favorite part. And the views where spectacular, breath taking! Parking is “normal” for Gatlinburg it’s narrow and steep but manageable. Only minor minor issues was that one the bunkers gets extremely cold and couldn’t figure out why the heater was not working for that room & the refrigerator did not have a water filter change. I only point it out because upon arrival some of the streets in Gatlinburg where closed down due to bad weather and we had no water to drink (again it’s more convenient if it was changed, no biggie) I totally recommend it!! Thank you

Great spot especially if you plan to spend most of your time enjoying an amazing view and the company of your guests. The way up to the house is well taken care of, but would not want to do it more than a couple times.
Great hosts!

Large home that suited our family’s needs well. It has a beautiful mountain view, plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms and seating for us all. Having two bunk rooms and a game room area was especially helpful for the kids. The property is nice but is showing wear especially in the basement bathrooms. It could also use a few more coffee makers (one was broken) and kitchen supplies. As others have noted, the driveway is very steep. Older family members struggled to walk up it. We were lucky to have warmer weather over the holiday weekend when we came but it would be dangerous in snow or ice. But it’s a large home that fit 3 families and grandparents and we are thankful for the memories made together there.

Great cabin with wonderfully appointed kitchen. It was so easy to cook with all appliances and pots. It is perfect for family with the two bunk rooms.

House is as advertised, it’s great, view, etc! If it’s going to be a group with three or more vehicles the drive way will take some coordinating. But it’s a minor issue, if an issue at all. Will book again!

This cabin was perfect for our Annual Family Vacay! King of the Mountain is beautiful and was decorated for Christmas. There was plenty of room for all of us. The cabin was clean and had large amounts of linens in each bathroom. And kitchen had plenty of utensils, pots & pans and spices. Game room level was nice to hang out in. We had no issues that needed management’s attention. The driveway is a bit steep but I don’t see why it gets a bad rap, it’s not that bad! I see it fitting 7-9 vehicles depending on size. We did see bears close to our deck, two nights we were there, so cool! Extremely close to downtown, the road is a blast down the mountain! Highly recommend and would return!

The cabin was fantastic. Be prepared for wildlife though. We had a family of raccoons show up daily, and even a bear stopped by!

Chose KOTM as a place to bring together family from six states to enjoy an early Thanksgiving together. Great time had by all. The driveway is not for the faint of heart but not unlike many on the mountainside. Beautiful scenery and quick access to downtown Gatlinburg.

Beautiful house, however could use a little TLC. Front door lock sticks, ceramic soap holder and toilet paper holder hanging by a thread. In downstairs queen suite. We were afraid they would fall off and break. TVs in every room, however could only get a couple to come on! Need a printed out instruction how to get TVs on. Someone came to the house to fix TVs and they were working when we came home, but once we turned them off we couldn’t get them back on again. Not nearly enough towel racks or hooks. The driveway is a nightmare if you have six cars like we did. Also owner needs to put something on the beautiful great room window. Over the course of the week, we picked up 6 dead hummingbirds who flew in to the glass. Only 5 chairs around the poker table, we needed six. Master suite one blind had a broken slat and one handle broken off dresser drawer we had a great week and this house is lovely but needs a little care. Lindsay was responsive to our requests.

We booked this location because of the ability to house multiple people, as we were hosting a family reunion. The house was amazing, plenty of beds and baths for all of us (19) and the communication with the host was top notch. They were very responsive to any questions or concerns we had, even before we arrived on the property. The views were amazing and just a short drive to downtown Gatlinburg. Would definitely stay there again!

We really enjoyed our stay. We would definitely rent this property again. The driveway was a bit challenging but nothing terrible. The view from the front porch was spectacular! There were a couple of maintenance items that need attention but nothing that made our trip bad. They were handled quickly. It was a great place overall.

King of the Mountain is a beautiful property that’s perfectly situated for large groups. We had 10 adults and 3 kids (including 2 under 2) and the house felt spacious. Everyone had their own space to retreat to but there’s also ample common areas…and the views! We spent a lot of time sitting on the deck looking out at the mountains and even saw a few black bears which was so fun.
The driveway is steep and a little intimidating at first, but totally doable. We had 5 cars in the drive and never had an issue. We also appreciated all the kid stuff there—booster seats/high chairs, pack n play, etc.
We encountered a few small issues with some areas needing a bit of maintenance. The property manager was really responsive and offered a technician to come out but we didn’t think it was anything needing immediate attention.
All in all, we highly recommend!

The views from the cabin were spectacular! The cookware could use a update (pots & pans), being that the surfaces were worn. We did find soiled pillows in the storage areas but when it was mentioned on a check in from the host they offered to rectify the situation immediately. Lindsey was courteous and willing to assist at every interaction. Overall, the experience was above satisfactory.
