Contact owner about rental agencies The Perfect Location: • 1.5 blocks from the Beach, on the park overlooking Lake Gerar • Three blocks from Rehoboth Avenue in a quiet family and centrally located neighborhood The Perfect Houses: • “The Gaslight House” was built in 1905 as the home of the Rehoboth Beach Street Lighting Company. During the past fall and winter the house was gutted, redesigned by reknown Washington architect Christian Zapatka and rebuilt by local artisans. • The first floor has: a large screened-in front porch with separate seating and living space; an open living room-dining room-kitchen, a half-bath and an ensuite master bedroom. The second floor has four bedrooms, two bathrooms and a W/D room. • “The Lake Cottage,” directly behind the main house, bordering Gerar Park and overlooking the Lake Gerar Nature Preserve, has an entirely rebuilt master bedroom with bath and a W/D room on the ground level. Upstairs are two additional bedrooms, an updated kitchen, a bathroom and living and dining rooms. The Ambiance: • Professionally decorated for luxury, comfort, style and interaction • The gourmet kitchen has granite counter-tops, state-of-the-art stainless appliances, chef’s gas range, 31 cu ft refrigerator, and double electric ovens. • The bathrooms are all tiled with top-of-the-line fixtures. Bedroom and Bed Configurations: • “Gaslight House: 1st Floor: Master bedroom with king bed. 2nd Floor: #1: Master bedroom with king bed. #2 Two twin beds which can be combined to make a king. #3: Bunk beds and one twin. #4: Two twins which can be combed to make a king • “Lake Cottage” First floor: Master bedroom with twin beds which can be combined to make a king. 2nd floor: #1: 2 Bunk beds with loft for 2 more. #2 Queen. #3 Air mattress bed on legs also available. . Outdoor Space: • Situated on Gerar Park, overlooking Lake Gerar, a quiet oasis in the middle of Rehoboth Beach for volleyball, badmitten, horseshoes, bacci and relaxation. • Outdoor grilling, outdoor shower and parking for five cars (with two additional non-metered street parking permits). Rented by the week only during the summer. Saturday to Saturday

What a perfect stay!! You WILL NOT REGRET Making a reservation at Mathew’s home!!!! Lots of room to spread out, the screened porch is the perfect cherry on top. If i had to make one suggestion….i couldn’t find a crock pot….Lol! Trust me this place is off the charts perfect for larger groups. There is literally every other cooking and serving utensil, tool, pot, pan, coffee maker…..it’s ALL THERE!! Oh yeah….the beds are super comfy too.

The location was great! So easy to run up and grab lunch and get right back to the beach quickly. Nice size for our large group, however we had a few days out of the week where we d come up from the beach to shower and after a few showers there was no hot water. I only gave it 3 stars on cleanliness as we stayed in the cottage and my daughter found dried up contacts on the ledge near her top bunk, the loft was pretty dirty too however we didn’t have anyone who needed to stay up there so it was nt a big deal for us. The main living areas and bathrooms were clean. The outdoor shower behind the cottage didn’t work and there were no beach chairs. I will say Mathew was very easy to contact and quick to respond on any questions we had which we did appreciate. Overall we managed to have a great trip.

We all had a delightful time! Having rented this house twice before, I was confident that it would be perfect for the family group. The lovely front porch was a plus...great for reading, gathering , eating and kids play. Perhaps I missed the link to a linen rental option, and would use such a service if it were available. You also have a neighbor who is very concerned with the number of cars parked in the driveway (she said 4 was the max allowed), and with anyone stepping on her grass. We all attempted to stay on the proper side of the marker.

Our group was 15 strong. Ages 4-75. There was ample room for all with large dining room table and porch dining. Bedrooms were ample with variety of sizes. The kitchen had everything we needed and more with lots of dishes and silverware for a large crowd. Beautifully maintained home and guesthouse with an interesting history!

Our family of 18 thoroughly enjoyed the gaslight house compound. There was plenty of room, the kitchen well-appointed, and the property perfectly situated to the beach and local attractions. Mat, the owner, was attentive and incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. Highly recommend!!!!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Gaslight House and Lake Cottage. Both houses were clean and comfortable with lots of space for our large group. The host was so nice, very helpful and quick to respond. We can't wait to come back!

We had a wonderful stay in the Gaslight house and lake cottage. Despite being a large family group of 17, we felt very comfortable in the space and all were impressed with how lovely the home is. We cooked many large meals in the well appointed kitchen, spent loads of time on the spacious screened porch and fully appreciated the proximity to the beach, boardwalk and restaurants while still being on a quiet street. Mat was a wonderful, responsive host who went the extra mile when we had any issues. We would definitely recommend staying in his home and hope to make it back again ourselves!

The Gaslight House was the perfect house for our group. It was located a short walk from all downtown sights and stores, on a quiet street, with plenty of space and a great kitchen. We would stay here again on future trips to Rehoboth.

Perfect house to host our mothers 80th birthday. Kids and grandkids enjoyed each other and lots of new memories were created. House was perfect in every way and anytime we needed anything some cabinet provided. Highly recommend for any trip to Rehoboth.

Enjoyed having 2 perfect houses to accommodate extended family with several young children. Fantastic a/c during record breaking heat spell was vital! Ample parking & proximity to beach, boardwalk & cafes allowed total freedom for all ages. Ideal houses in layout & lovely decor. A truly lovely vacation for all.
