Great location, but not worth the cost

It's undeniably in a great location, but that's about as far as it goes

I booked 4 nights here, having missed the fact that Swissotel is part of the very average Accor group - my mistake. I used to travel extensively in the UK for work & learnt to avoid Novotel properties (also part of Accor) - all stuck in a bit of a 70's / 80's time warp & in much need of renovation. This was similar - room small & dated - seriously in need of a refurb. We didn't book breakfast, but were offered it at check-in for 17.50 Euros / person. By the following morning, it was 23.50 Euros / person, simply because we hadn't committed to the check-in offer - a bit of a cheek, when you're paying over 1000 Euros for 4 nights room only. In hindsight, we should have stayed at the Krasnapolsky, on the other side of Dam Square - I stayed there previously, when it was a NH Hotel - expensive, but at least it feels like you're getting something luxurious for your money

Zwaar overpriced hotel met een goede locatie

De locatie, makkelijk centraal gelegen, maar daar betaal je dan ook de super hoofdprijs voor. Een hotel van dit niveau zou zeker 50% goedkoper moeten zijn.

Het ontbijt, tegen een klagende klant werd gezegd “what you see is what you get”. Ik heb nog nooit zo’n mager ontbijtbuffet gezien, amper beleg, geen boter en de scrambled eggs waren kurkdroog i.p.v. romig.

La ubicación es en la zona más céntrica posible, junto a la plaza Dam y los principales centros de visita. Los precios en Amsterdam están muy caros, por lo que no responde a la relación calidad-precio de otras ciudades.

Mycket bra läge, ok hotellvistelse.

Centralt läge, nära till det mesta. Stora rum för ett hotell mitt i en storstad. Lätt att hitta parkering. Mycket bra städat, fläckfritt. Sköna sängar.

Personalen kändes lite blasé, inget extra välkomnande. Tog lång tid att checka in och då visade sig ändå bli fel i slutändan. Frukosten var ok, inget extra. Litet utbud av bröd. Sista morgonen var äggröran bränd och baconet stenhårt. Personalen som tog emot i frukostlokalen verkade vara mer utav en vakt, inte välkomnande alls.

Heerlijk

De plek was top. Vanaf ons balkon uitzicht op de Dam. Personeel was erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De badkamer was relatief klein t.o.v. de rest van de kamer, die groot genoeg was. We stond in bad te douchen, beetje jammer. Verder, heerlijke bedden en top locatie.

Ubicación inmejorable!!

La ubicación del hotel es fantástica, situado en la misma plaza Dam. Casi todos los tranvías pasaban por allí y las paradas a escasos metros. La habitación estupenda. Nos dieron una habitación muy grande con cama extra grande King Size y baño con bañera y ducha también. El personal un trato exquisito y servicial. El desayuno buffet también variado. El café sorprendentemente bueno (en los hoteles suele estar muy regular). Una gran elección, repetiría sin dudarlo.

No hay nada que no me gustase.

Brilliant stay, highly recommend

Great location for great price. Staff were amazing. We stayed for our anniversary and they gifted us balloons, wine and a couple of drinks from the bar.

Was a mark on one of the pillows but was probably just a stain, just flipped it over and it didn’t bother us at all :)

Tutta Amsterdam ad un passo

Hotel in posizione eccezionale, si può girare a piedi per tutte le attrazioni di Amsterdam, camere e letto molto comodi, forse migliorerei i cuscini, il personale alla reception è gentile e preparato e dispensa consigli, una buona colazione in una bella saletta. Una sera abbiamo assaggiato la pizza che era buonissima ma un po' cara.

Solo una critica per i cuscini del letto inesistenti,

Veldig dårlig opplevelse

Frokosten bar preg av at den mest sannsynlig hadde stått ute også dagen før, tørt brød og inntørket ost, ingen majones eller tilbehør, valg mellom kokte egg som kun var overkokt, lite informasjon om en kunne få omelett eller stekt egg mm. Vi mister TV og internett etter 1 dag, vi var der i 3 netter, dagen vi skulle sjekke ut var det ikke varmt vann på hele hotellet. Fikk beskjed ved innsjekking at vi fikk oppgradert rom, på dette rommet var det kun 1 kontorstol og 1 stol med 1 lite bord, det var ingen mobildekning og vi måtte ha gardiner lukket hele tiden da var innsyn fra begge sider av rommet. Det var dessuten trapper som vi måtte gå for å komme til rommet.

Lage super , müsste ich nicht schlafen wäre ich nicht ins Hotel.

Die Lage war super.

Der Zustand meines Zimmers war sehr schlecht. Die Tür sieht aus , als hätte man es mit Gewalt aufgebrochen. ( bin mir sicher das es so war ). Der Fernseher ging am letzten Abend nicht. Die Sauberkeit war nicht gut. Sehr oberflächlich gearbeitet.

Temizlik çok kötü, odalar eski, böyle bir markaya hiç yakışmıyor

Temizlik çok çok kötüydü, yatakta saç ve kıllar vardı. Banyolar çok eski ve küvetin içinden böcek çıkıyordu ayrıca banyolarda çok kötü bir koku vardı. (Böcekli fotoğrafı buraya yükleyebilirim)

Swissotel normalde çok beğendiğim bir otel grubudur. Hayalkırıklığına uğradım. Oda boşluğa bakıyordu ve resepsiyon hiç yardımcı olmadı hatta swissotel müşteri memnuniyetine önem verir dediğimde burası o kadar büyük değil dediler. Ayrıca oda daki sensörleri deneyerek oda içinde yangın yanıyor mu paniği yaşattılar. Son sabah saat 06:30 gibi biranda tüm odalarda yangın alarmı çalmaya başladı panikle ve korkuyla herkes otelden dışarı çıktı. Düşünün pijamayla ve pasaport elimde bir şekilde resmen koşarak çıktık.Resepsiyona sordum ne oluyor diye gayet rahat yanlış alarm oldu dediler.Resmen kimse umursamadı. Konfor aramıyorsanız ve memnuniyet beklentiniz düşük ise tavsiye ederim. Böyle bir hizmet isterse 1 * olsun olmamalı kendi adıma Amsterdam'da deyince aklıma o otelde yaşadıklarım geliyor.

Lokalizacja blisko centrum ale ogromny hałas z ulicy, otwarcie okna niemozliwe

Great location, super friendly staff, great rooms and will likely stay again.

Great location, excellent breakfast.

Bed was far too soft, they've used a mattress topper across two single beds and I really struggled to sleep with no back support. Kept rolling down into the middle of the bed.
