Onbeschofte oplichterij

This hotel is falsely advertising itself as a 2 star hotel when in fact its probably not fit to be a hostel
Everything about this "hotel" is terrible. False advertising, filthy rooms that smell of smoke, bed linen and towels smell of smoke, extremely dangerous and steep stair case, cigarette burns in furniture even though its supposed to be a non smoking hotel, camping style narrow beds. The rooms are set out in a hostel style and designed for multiple occupancy and the small twin room is nothing short of a prison cell. Avoid

location
Very dirty rooms, beds, towels and sheets were dirty as well. Bad Wi-Fi connection.

Upper echelon of society, great stay.

The location is excellent. Tucked away so it never gets too noisy, but really close to a fantastic, busy area.
The bathroom smelt like damp, the shower door was broken. Other than that, fine!

Very nice staff! Really good location

Nothing.
The room is unclean, the furniture are with too much stain. The shower takes so long for hot water. The connection between the shower water tube and the head is also broken that water spills.

Room was the smallest one and very expensive but it was gay parade weekend.
I dont recommend the smallest room to a new couple because its so small that its impossible to close the toilet door :D
It was very modest room but shower was extreeeemely good and matress as well. And naturally the location was great as well. And those 3 things are the most important.
Hotel owners were very sweet people.
Toilet and lack of wall sockets. I think there was only one.

location of property was walkable to everything you would want to see.
the size of the room compared to the amount paid. the bathroom had a strong smell of urine which makes me think it was never even cleaned. The stairs to our room were a complete death trap.

Internet was not working for 5 days and that was terrible for me.

4 of us stayed in your property and all came home with bites from bed bugs and mites we took pictures of the bed covers also and it’s absolutely disgusting !!!

Friendly staff. Easy to communicate with prior to the stay through the Booking chat. They were able to upgrade our rooms to bigger ones for free (due to low occupancy) which was great as the restrictions forced us to spend all evenings together in our rooms.
The shower drains were kind of clogged in some of the rooms which created some minor floodings. But that was easily fixed the next day by talking to the friendly staff. If you have trouble with stairs, note that there are some very steep and lengthy stairs here (especially if you stay at the uppermost floor).

Location is quite good, around 20 mins to Amsterdam Centraal and 15 mins to Dam square.
Tram stop is few steps away and around you could find coffee shops, restaurants and several clubs within a walking distance.
Worse experience of my life!
I went there with 3 other friends… the pictures you may find on Internet, apart from the building view, are heavily photoshopped if not unreal at all!
It looked like to be in a pre-war bunker or in a submarine!
The double “rooms” were literally 2x2 m2, with a bathroom so tiny that you could not neither close the door and we had to leave the room in rotation, in 1 room… while in the other room the water sink was directly outside the bathroom… right above the bed feet!!!
Windows were stuck/broken and could not be open to refresh a bit the air.
Mattress was extremely tiny, the walls were even tinier!
If on one side it is understandable that Amsterdam is not a cheap city, on the other side paying 50€/night should cover a place that preserves decency and dignity… and this place has none of them! A hostel is highly more recommendable than this place!
Have fun with the attached pictures!
ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMENDED!
