We loved that all the staff was very helpful and kind. The room was big and comfortable, breakfast was sufficient. Location is perfect very close to public transportation and museums.

I’ve stayed at a number of NH hotels and the staff have always been polite, helpful, cheerful and this hotel was no exception. It was also conveniently placed to places we wanted to visit.
Renovations were being carried out, I think this is something that the hotel should have notified guests beforehand

Location was great.
Room was very tired. Bathroom sink was heavily cracked and stained. Carpet was in need of cleaning or replacement.
Decor was from the 1980's.

the front desk was helpful, the beds were comfy but only twin beds,
The tv remote did not work and the TV didn't have many channels.

Location
The room was described as superior unfortunately this description was not applicable. The walls were cracked in places and the wallpaper seams visible. There were cracks around the bathroom sink and need replacing. Both chairs were heavily stained and either needed cleaning with an upholstery cleaner or replacing. Drinks and refreshments were limited.

Location is good. Front desk staff is very helpful and friendly.
No hand towels for the 2nd and 3rd nights of the stay.

The staff was amazing and we enjoyed our conversations with all of them. Adam and Vincent were top notch!! The breakfast did NOT disappoint!! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
We did not have any technical complaints. A small suggestion would be to make sure that all of the desk staff knows where the PostNL office is and how to send souvenirs back home. Vincent knew! But we asked some of the other desk staff previous to him and they could not give concrete answers. But this by no means created a bad experience!

When we complained about the room the hotel were prepared to upgrade us to a better room with a view of the canal for a modest premium. The staff were honest about the failure to deliver on the promised BBC TV in room and the failure to provide a free shuttle from the airport which was promised on the website of booking.com. We found a nice restaurant just 350m away, and the Rijksmuseum was just 600m away, easy walking distance.
First, on arrival we had to pay extra for a room that we found satisfactory. Also, we had to pay for taxis to and from the airport having read on the website that the hotel offered a free airport shuttle service. Then we had to leave a day early at dawn because we wanted to be able to watch the Coronation of King Charles on BBC TV. The hotel had given us a written assurance prior to our arrival that BBC TV was available in all hotel rooms, and it was fortunate that we tested this in time to change our plans. Nonetheless we had to pay extra to change our flightplans. The hotel first did not give a refund for the night that we cancelled, and said that it was not possible to refund. But after registering a complaint with booking.com they were able to give a refund for the night. Altogether not the 4-star service we expected.

Friendly and generally helpful staff at the reception desk.
On my first night, I told the reception desk I would appreciate the floor lamp in my room being repaired or the light bulb replaced as it only flickered and did not work, but nothing was done during my five-night stay. Also, the bathroom sink needs to be replaced; it is very worn with surface cracks and looks unsanitary. Otherwise the room was quiet and very comfortable.

View, location size of room were excellent! Great daytime and night room views. Easy walking to all sites.
Linens and towels were stained however staff changed them promplty. Breakfast server was strict. Wasn't aware that a red light district existed within 2 blocks. However, it was not disruptive.

Near to metro and short walk to trams. Restaurants nearby. Great breakfast, fruit, yoghurt, breads and pastries, eggs to order, bacon etc, meat cheeses etc. We had a late flight so for €60 we kept our room until 6pm. Very quiet rooms with big windows overlooking canal.

Plenty of space in the room; view to a canal; location near museums; helpful staff; comfortable beds; buffet breakfast was mostly satisfying.
Real fruit juice instead of watered down fruit drink; better selection of ripe fruit; I haven't yet become accustomed to the prices of decent hotels in this day and age.

The location is excellent. The rooms are large and spacious. The staff is kind and welcoming
The refrigerator did not work and did not cool and this was something that disturbed a lot. Even after a maintenance guy fixed it, it didn't work. The TV remote didn't work either, but they managed to fix that

The room was lovely and seemed a peaceful haven in the middle of all the bussel. The room enjoyed a beautiful morning sunrise and great natural light. The bath room had a nice bath and it was as good as it looked! Hotel location is perfect for the RAI and has lots of restaurant options within walking distance.
The room was heated with a blowing air system, I prefer a radiator. I can't find fault with anything!
