This was the perfect stay, from the beginning, to the departure, the staff were very friendly, the room was large, cozy and very comfy, my eldyly mother stayed with me and she absolutely loved it.

Pleasant

Loved the old-fashioned lift, new carpet, and freshly painted walls.

The tiles in the shower needed a good scrub. There was missing cutlery and glasses. The freezer was so iced up that we couldn't fit our small tub of ice cream into it.

Location of the accommodation was very convenient. The staff were able to fulfil my needs of two rooms side-by-side as well. Overall, a pleasant stay and extremely worth it for the price paid.

The room is a bit dark and the toilet window is spoilt. Perhaps there can be better ventilation.

really creepy old building. Felt Like a scene from the horror movies

only the front desk lady was super nice

Ok for a short stay for couples

The place was ok location wise, lots of takeaways, bars, restaurants etc

We booked 4 adults and we all ended up in the same bedroom, we had to book a different hotel for 2! And don’t use the washing machine unless you want your ears to bleed!

The location and the room was clean and warm.

The mattress on the sofa. It was thin and therefore I felt the springs stuck in my body.

Disappointing

Only redeeming feature was the location.

Bed was awful. Had a gap at the wall where a headpiece should be. Pillows and linen were uncomfortable. Place was being renovated but charged full price. Loud banging early in the morning.

the pictures don’t reflect the state of the kitchen, which isn’t suited to cooking, and the appliances were ancient.

I've stayed here four times now, each time it meets or exceeds expectations. The property is undergoing renovations at the moment (Feb 2023), hopefully once done it'll be back up there. Cute art deco building, spacious rooms with kitchen facilities, great location close to lots of Kings Cross/Potts Point restaurants and the train station. Staff are helpful.

On this occasion I noted the room cleaning service has been removed/reduced entirely (just 'on request'). Last time I was here about 12 months ago it was still cleaned each day or every second day. The reduction in cleaning service is a disappointment. Hopefully it returns.

you should not be booking rooms out on floor’s knowing that work is ongoing , very poor .

we were woken up by building works inside at 7am and given no warning of this . when I spoke to the duty manager she said it was on the website at the time of booking . I checked and it clearly was not . we would not have stayed at any hotel if building works were ongoing and feel very let down by their response and somewhat cheated.

Very good

Big room at a perfectly central location.

They were renovating the hallways, so you had to pass the painters on the stairs. And because of the renovation we had more dust in our room.

Superb

We love this place and we are hesitant to recommend it as it could very well be Sydney’s best kept secret, we will be returning when in Sydney again. Great location, views, spacious rooms and on a personal note the bathroom products we lovely, a nice touch.

I paid a lot of money, purely to enjoy the roof terrace NOT HAPPY I demand a refund !

The bed was rather small, location for a good walk into the City was ok, as there was a few different routes to explore

I was VERY disappointed that the roof terrace was shut at 4pm The main reason that I chose this place was for an early evening chill out on the roof (which was actually good)

amazing value for money for the location and beautifully & thoughtfully designed and furnished, but could do with a

location, furnishings, design, heritage building, convenience, optional parking, big sliding window in room, great kitchenette setup enough to cook simple meals

our room had a very noisy fridge and loud air conditioner, and the pillows were way too thin

We loved our stay and would definitely recommend. The location and roof terrace was perfect!

Exceptional

Such a great place. The staff are so friendly and very helpful. Good sized rooms well equipped for,preparing the occasional light meal. Roof terrace was a great highlight and has a barbecue. Has views of the bridge and the Opera house. Great supermarket next door. We really felt that if anything went wrong the staff would be there to help us. We liked it so much that we returned for two additional visits!
