Was great when it was new and our kids were little. Will not return.

Great spot.

Property needs lots of maintenance. Pool is needing to be reseated. Slate lifting I’m parts. Weeds not attended to. Had to swap rooms due to location of of the first option.

Underwelming and outdated resort

Good location - a really short drive into the heart of town, or walking distance. Lagoon pool was lovely and had plenty of sun lounges.

Room was pretty outdated. Holes and marks on the wall, plus some dead instects. It's an old school resort so it was a bit of a rabbit warren to find our room. Living room was bare and couches were uncomfortable, so not really a space we wanted to hang out. Shower sucked, and took ages for water to get hot (like several minutes) Overall it was fine but not worth the amount we paid for 3 nights

A beautiful location for some rest & sunshine.

Great location, short walk to the beach and town centre. Beautiful pool areas with the lagoon bar which was amazing after a day of adventures. Little balcony with gate access to the pool.

Considering cost we felt more cleaning would have been appropriate. In stating this one was provided mid week.

Had a beautiful holiday - Port Douglas is wonderful but i'd not book at this hotel again.

Location was good. Great access to the beach and about an 8 minute walk to the centre of the town. Pool at the hotel is beautiful and probably the main reason for our selection of this hotel over others.

We booked an apartment and were not all that happy with the room - it was dark, and at the back of the motel & to be honest not as clean as I would have expected. Although the beds were comfortable and the room spacious.

For the money We paid per night, the room was very small. No housekeeping was done over the 3 nights we stayed

Slightly disappointed overall, but the bed was comfy at least

Breakfast was ok. Plenty of options but mixing it up a bit more each day would be good. It was the same things every morning! Got a bit monotonous! Staff were great, very friendly and helpful. Pool area and bar pretty good.

Very disappointed in the room. The bed was comfy but that was about it. The room was quite dirty. Blinds were dirty and broken, the fan was covered in dirt and dust, the floors clearly weren’t mopped and the shower base needs a damn good clean.

Good Location, small rooms.

The location was perfect, 15 minute walk to shops, beach etc. The provided breakfast was also very helpful!

Upon entering our first room it reeked of mould and also was extremely small. We requested a room with a balcony and paid to upgrade. The ‘upgraded’ room was practically the same size as before and had no balcony despite that being our agreement. Confused we questioned the receptionist yet she stated that there were none with a balcony available… would’ve been nice to know this before paying extra money for practically the same room.

disappointed, no value for money

the room was too small, stains on the sheets, the bed was not secured and was sliding around on the floor, the toilet was not working.

Overpriced

very beautiful when you walk in and modern

The toaster shorted our room out when we plugged it in and the reception didn’t seem to care. We went a few hours without power and the staff never got back to us with an update or offered anything for the inconvenience of it. they have also not replied to any communications sent in relation to this.

Portsea should be advertised as party resort, so families with small children are aware. dDrinking and swaering environm

loud music playing all day every day. lagoon pool bar, too many intoxicated people in the pool. Portsea should be advertised as party resort, nit really suitable for families with small children.

an incredible resort to enjoy our first family holiday with the two kids. We will absolutely be back.

The lagoon style pool was extremely kid friendly while the swim up bar was extremely adult friendly! 10 minute walk to the main street in port Douglas and a nice little path leading you to four mile beach. Beds/pillows were incredibly comfy, spacious rooms with plenty of air con made for a comfortable stay. We made good use of the tennis courts, bar, lap pool and main pool. Our toddler absolutely adored the slide and the swim up bar staff were so lovely - they made her beautiful mocktails with umbrellas so she felt like she was getting a special drink too. The continental breakfast was all we could hope for with fresh local fruits, yoghurts, pastries, coffee and juices and all the cereals. We will definitely be back for another family holiday.

Nothing at all noteworthy was disliked! We loved it.

Fun stay due to the company we were meeting. The facilities were dirty and my room wasn't ready

The pool and reception were lovely

The bathroom was filled with slimy mould like it hadn't been cleaned properly in weeks. The cocktails in the pool bar were watered down and barely contained alcohol. For the price, they need to do better. I watched the bartender make a Mango daiquiri, she put frozen Mango in the blender, then put the blender in the sink and filled it up with tap water.
