We absolutely loved it and will definitely return

It was the perfect location, really central, on the Main Street. Lovely swimming pool, really quiet given its adults only. The people running the Newport were so nice and helpful. We had such a nice trip, it couldn’t have been better. The apartment was fabulous.

Very central location - close to everything on Macrossan Street.

Patrick went out of his way to arrange things for us - he was very helpful. He is a good asset to the property.

Superb

Newport is centrally located within walking distance of pubs and restaurants. It was good our apartment was on the third floor to help walk off the over indulgences. The one bedroom apartment is spacious and clean. BBQ facilities by the pool were a great alternative to eating out.

The bed is comfortable but the join in the middle was quite hard.

A great introduction to tropical Queensland. We hope to be back sometime in the future.

Patrick, the owner , was extremely helpful and accommodating. He ensured we were comfortable in the accommodation. His local knowledge and advice on where to go, what to see and how to achieve these things was invaluable. His friendliness and conversations made our stay very enjoyable. Thank you!

Highly recommend . Patrick was wonderful . It was such a nice quiet relaxing holiday for them both.

My wife holidayed with her daughter and the thing that appreciated most was that it was an Adult Resort and non smoking. ( Don't get them wrong love kids -), but needed that break ! So central to everything . She Highly recommends The Newport we will be going back next year for sure.... The pool , SPA and BBQ area was fantastic. What she really liked was the pool access from their room. The central locations to all the fabulous restaurants and of course the amazing Central Hotel.

Great location, great for a stay where you will be out adventuring most of the day and need somewhere to sleep.

The step down from the spa bath onto the tiles was massive! Bit of a accident waiting to happen, especially with the leaky shower.

Great value great location

The perfect location in Port douglas on the main street and close to everything but at the same time you felt away from the busyness once in the resort,,the room we stayed in was very compact and for more then a few days would have been too small,but we were there for 3 days and it was perfect.The pool area was very clean and lovely to lounge around and relax.If you are looking for value for money and an excellent life cation you are I'll not be disappointed

The room was small with no cooking facilities which wasn't a bad thing for us as we were only there for 3 nights

Location, location, location

The location was excellent. Right in the hub of the town. We had unit 108 and it was in the corner at the pool which was great. You could not hear the street noise and the unit was spacious.

Exceptional place to stay.

The main street location was perfect, the pool was great and the cleanliness of the room and complex on a whole was exceptional, also the staff were very friendly and helpful, we would definitely stay again 10/10.
