We where a little bit unsure about staying here after reading the reviews.
But we where more than happy with our room and the hotel.
The bed was very comfy and even though we had a sea room and stayed on new years eve you couldn't really hear the noise for the street.
The room offers aircon if needed (obviously, we didn't need it with it being december)
a little heater
a hair dryer
Shower gel/ shampoo
We paid £140 odd for 2 nights (30th Dec to 1st jan) and would 10000% stay again
😀
Nope it was spot on

Been before, you pay for what you get, reception and a small dining room, but Location, Location, Location.
They are upgrading the building, and unfortunately there was a "funny" smell in bathroom. Informed staff, she was very apologetic and said she would put a note on my account.

Not a lot
Cleanliness below par, window dirty on inside and mould on some if the grouting in shower. Booked a 2 night stay but on retutning to hotel after day out key cards did not work. Per computer we were only booked for one night.

Very little
Having to pay £2 for leaving our 2 suitcases behind the counter was disappointing. Having only one bath towel was disappointing as was the TV handset not working. Also having to pay £19 to park our car was a negative shock.

There was nothing I didn't like

Location is brilliant, close to all the bars, amusements and shops.
The overall cleanliness of the hotel wasn't great, room was OK but very cold. There was a heater in there but it didn't seem to work. Breakfast was rubbish, cereals, toast, and a poor effort of scrambled egg, boiled egg and beans for the hot selection. If you wanted a full English then your not going to get one.

The location is good, it's right opposite the north pier and there's lots of pubs and clubs nearby
Room smelt like rotten sewerage. Dirty cup and spoon with sugar still on it. Brown stain on the carpet. Receptionist miserable. Yes it's cheap but that shouldn't mean dirty.

The staff were lovely and very friendly and helpful
the bed was very squeaky, the room was hot and the airconditioning didnt work, the vent in the room wouldnt switch off so made a continuous noise. The staff did all they could to help by bringing a fan and trying to limit the noise.

Staff were very welcoming nice and polite
One staff member in particular sorry dont know his name but was really nice to me and my daughter couldn't of been anymore of a good help to us a lad with glasses and of short stature lovely lad 😊
The beds were very hard couldn't really get comfy kept waking through night with back ache
They just need to rethink new mattresses?
Only other thing that was a pain in the room the very noisy fan heater the only time it stopped was when turned off but then the room got cold so had to put up with a very loud noisy fan heater
