Staff friendly and food very good.
Spa rang twice looking for payment, hours after our treatments even though we had given our debit card number many days previously. They seemed to have mislaid the information. I was offered prosecco but my partner wasn't. The Spa was the only issue with our stay.

The hotel is quite pretty, big and very spacious, the staff was kind.
For a family with small kids I guess is quite a great place, but in our case, as a couple with no kids searching for a relaxing place to stay was definitely the wrong choice.
Wherever you go, specially the swimming pool area, is full of small kids running, screaming, bumping into you.
It felt we were more in an amusement park than in a hotel, outside of your room is impossible to find a place where you can just sit down to read a book and enjoy a drink.
Also one night there was a wedding at the hotel and they had extremely loud music till after 2am, you could hear it from everywhere.
All in all the place is very noisy, busy and stressful the whole time

I forgot my toothbrush and lovely lady with short hair gave me a new one for free. It's the little things really. Younger woman who checked me in wasn't as friendly but in fairness not everyone has a lovely personality like the lady with the short dark hair.
Heater was noisy. Cleaners were loud takin outside the room before 7am.

The room was compact but cosy and tidy.
My breakfast plate was removed as I was still eating. I asked for a cappuccino instead of filter coffee at breakfast. I had to pay over €4 extra and was served a cold cup of unidentifiable liquid. I was extremely disappointed as I always enjoyed good service in The Castleknock.

I checked in at 23:30 after a long day so just went straight to bed. when I woke up in the morning I saw a large brown stain on the bed sheet. looked like someone had spilled coffee in the bed. I’d not had any coffee so knew it wasn’t me.
I thought the room would be cleaned while I was out the next day so left the cover pulled back on the bed so it would be seen by the cleaners.
I came back late again that evening (nearly 22:00) to find the room had not been cleaned and the bed in the same state. shattered I just went to bed.
this isn’t what I expect from a hotel of this standard. very disappointing

I requested a rate for a weekly stay as I am in Dublin 1-2 times a week, the rate offered was no better than what is available on line.
