Very clean, very good location.
The staff were very rude and tried to charge me for late check out despite me explaining the safe wouldn’t open to get my passport out

The location was excellent. We enjoyed the neighborhood, including watching Dutch parents bringing their children to the school across the street. All a slice of the Netherlands. Also the backyard of the property had beautiful old trees. Plus the windows opened to let the fresh air in
If booking had told us of our dbl booking, thus having to pay for two rooms

Scratchy towels.

The pillows were too soft and unsupportive

The location. Just 10-15mins walk to all nearby attractions. Good restaurants (multinational cuisine ) around it. Yummy indian food just 6mins walk. You can book for the location. Super strategic.
The shower, wide bathroom and good shower
The light- not bright, very dim. Feels very gloomy inside the room
Staffs were not friendly
No drinking water provided
Windows were broken- felt very unsafe.
Had some tiny bugs on the bedsheet

beds very comfortable
We were told only one pillow per person when asking for an extra. when my mom hurt her knee, we were told we could walk to the supermarket for some ice in a very unfriendly manner. Felt more like youth hostel than a room we paid more than 200 euros for!

Very small room 6 m2, no closet only a hanger. Bathroom very clean and well equipped.
To high price for so small room

the location was really good. close to everywhere we wanted to go.
the pillows were a bit too big and the AC didn’t work.
the shower holder was broken, so you had to hold it with one hand while trying to wash.

Mainly chose hotel because of (1) fridge available for guest use and (2) proximity to major museums. I had been told when booking that the guest fridge might be removed (but that there would be a minibar in my room - which there was not - see below). I would urge the hotel to abandon all thoughts of getting rid of the fridge: it's the main thing that puts it above the obvious competitor Easyhotel in my book! Also (see below) if the fridge is not available then it becomes more important to have a minibar in each room (which can of course also be used for small quantities of things like cheese). In a single room this is particularly crucial because a lone traveller is least likely to finish a packet of something in one meal. The microwave in the lobby was something I liked, but less essential than fridge. One positive point about the location apart from museums is the fact that there is an Albert Heijn supermarket with good prepared meals (incl for microwave) near the closest metro station (Vijzelgracht).
Very poor communication in advance of visit: initially (booking end of last year) enquiries answered promptly but key information was wrong. Seeking clarification of some ambiguity seen online, I was told there was a minibar in my room but there was in fact there was none when I arrived (although there would be space for one)! However, there was a fridge in the lobby for guest use so this was not too much of a problem.
On another matter (the simple question of whether there was a kettle or a coffee machine, asked much later on and about 10 days before arriving), it took days and reminders to get a proper reply. I would have preferred a kettle to a coffee machine but at least on this I was (eventually!) told in advance so simply brought my own kettle.
A particular point about the small single I had: layout means that the only place where a suitcase (even a small one) can be opened is in front of the door. With a medium-sized (75cm) suitcase there it is just possible to get the door open enough to pass through, but a large suitcase would probably have to be unpacked completely before needing to get through the door.

Best location for Museums and Concertgebauw.
Easy walking to Old Town, Dam Square. It's on a tramline. Lots of eateries and supermarket nearby.
24 hour reception who were very helpful.
Coffee machine in room
Didn't take breakfast so unable to comment
Air condition /heater unit wasn't working properly. So Manager switched my room to one where the unit was working ok. So it worked out.
It didnt bother me but judt to say school next door can be quite noisey at certain times of the day for short periods of playtime ( They are having fun and excercise ) Ask for a room on other side.
Erring on the side of expensive but not a deal breaker due to location

Very bad experience, the hotel is like a youth hostel and the staff is very unfriendly.
Relations with the staff and the quality of the hotel.

It’s very easy to get and from the airport - just one bus trip (number 397).
The wall next to my bed was mouldy. The bed was sinking to one side.
The toilet in the hall was dirty and so was the elevator.

Nice, helpful staff. Clean (albeit run down) rooms. Reasonably quiet most of the time - some other guests were pretty noisy at 2am. No real street noise however.
Room size was way too small given the price. The single room was barely a closet - no room to really sit down or relax. It was just a pod with a bed... Also the bed was very small, narrow, and soft. I almost fell/rolled off a couple of times. The rooms also needed some paint, newer (un-torn) curtains and new carpet. The carpet was probably well over a decade old. At the price of the place, this is bad.

if you are looking to be right in the heart of the museum district, this is the perfect hotel, because it is right across the street.
very clean and modern. the bathroom was exceptional, especially the shower.

Staff was very helpful and friendly, breakfast was magnificent! The lady cleaning up and moving the food should be paid in gold - very sweet, caring and fast. The location is amazing, across the street from museums, also the public transport stop is super close.
Room was a bit older but completely clean, that was really nice - the only small thing we noticed was some mold in the shower, but nothing dramatic.
