Good

Very nice bar area with plenty of seats. Comfortable bed and good sized TV and desk. Excellent shower.

Seemed to be short staffed - no-one was at the check-in desk and for breakfast one manager was simultaneously taking breakfast orders, serving breakfast and managing check outs. He was very good but overstretched.

easy to get to with sat nav. good parking for disabled.

looking tired and in need of some maintenance breakfast was only cooked no continental option, ended up having paid for breakfast eating weetabix for 4 mornings.

Disappointing

Dinner and breakfast were amazing. The wait staff were exceptional; friendly, customer focussed, professional and genuinely interested in the customer experience. In general, the hotel staff were brilliant.

We were allocated an accessible room; not what I had booked. The room itself was ok; the mirror over the desk had clearly not been cleaned but in general the room was clean. There was what looked like a drain or electrical cover on one side of the bed, with metal framework around it. Stepping on it with bare feet was a painful experience. The bed was 2 singles pushed together with a mattress on top. It dipped in the middle and was generally uncomfortable. My fiancée and I both woke up with sore backs as a result. But worse of all was the accessible bathroom. The first observation was how grubby it looked - the shower drain cover looked like it had either dirt or mould on it. The wash basin was a tiny cloak room one and was so low, using it proved difficult. You could only get hot water from the sink by turning the tap on full, which flooded the tiny basin and soaked your feet and the floor. Using the shower resulted in the entire room being soaked so going to the loo after the shower could not be done without something on your feet. The last thing you’re thinking about when going to the toilet in the middle of the night. Also, the toilet didn’t flush very well. This wasn’t my first stay at the hotel. My first experience was excellent all round. This stay has tainted my view and sadly, I won’t be returning. I basically paid to be uncomfortable, in pain and disappointed. Such a shame.

overall nice stay staff could be more attentive so visitors don’t feel lost on arrival. get the paint pot out would be a

bed was very comfortable.

some areas very unclean and worn like hand rails need painting. I was left waiting for some to d before a staff member took notice and was unsure if I was at the right place to check in.

Nice stay after a first few issues resolved quickly nice room clean and comfortable

Breakfast food was of good quality lady who served breakfast extremely good

A few issues when we arrived but all resolved quickly but really a manager should of stepped in earlier

Lisa was lovely, funny and bubbly. She was very attentive to detail. Would certainly stay here again.

Great stay, comfortable beds. Clean room and set up was great.

be good to have bottles of water in the room complementary.

The interance walks through big restaurant i thought i made a mistake i almost left but they said yes this is a hotel i felt unconfortable walking with my bags through tabled of steak restaurant

Good and we will go again

Most things we liked, reception was very helpful. Breakfasts were ok but a but more variety would have made it better, ie continental for a change, this is the only comment, in general our stay was great, location was also really good, we’re caught the bus which was only a few minutes walk from the hotel and they ran frequently into Brighton which enabled us to forget About parking the car, we were there 3 nights and my car did not move. Yes we would book again.

Nice enough basic accomodation with convenient good restaurant

Food at Miller and Carter was great, we did have to call and speak to somebody and mention that we had a room booked in order to get a table as it was fully booked on a saturday night. The free big car park was handy and the breakfasts were generous portions

The whole place felt dated and a bit dirty, the staff were too busy to check us in or out so we had to wait around quite a while. The beds were very short?! Our feet overhung the bed! We had higher expectations for the price.

A good place to stay.

Staff friendly and helpful. Good size room. Good breakfast and WiFi.

Main problem a constant humming in the room as if from a nearby generator. Made for a bad night's sleep. Room preference not honoured on arrival due to a misunderstanding. Soon rectified.
