Maureen's place is just perfect. The cleanest, extremely well stocked and safe for kids.
If you have young toddlers, don't look elsewhere. Her place has safety gates, high chairs, pack and plays, toys and books. Also a lot of fun for kids all ages.
We were 4 adults, 2 kids and 1 toddler and there was plenty of space.
The community is amazing, the kids could play in the front and backyard, plus we did a 2 min drive to their HOA snowplay and had a blast.
Maureen and Chris are the best hosts we ever had too. They are so responsive, helpful, incredibly organized and detail oriented, made everything easy and every process seamless.
They were extra attentive and helpful when we were driving during a snow storm, and even left the heater going before we arrived.
Can't recommend them enough and for sure this will be our go to place anytime we go to Tahoe!
Thank you so much Maureen and Chris for everything. We had a great time!

This property looked like the pictures. It was clean and well equipped for our weekend stay. We could easily prepare meals, and we used the front deck to relax. It is in quiet location and short driving distance to Donner Lake, grocery stores, and the main street of Truckee. There are a lot of instructions to follow, so be sure to review everything prior to your arrival. Owner was responsive to questions.

House was clean and as described. Great location, beautiful area, and plenty of space for our group (6 adults). Beds could be more comfortable with a foam topper and cushion seat support on couch.
Keep a lookout for communication from owner’s personal email, texts, and VRBO messages with details and rental info. Owner quick to respond with any questions.
We enjoyed our stay and the gorgeous weather in July in the mountains.

My wife and I stayed here for two weeks with my sister, who lives in Carson City. We loved the cabin and found everything to be just fine. No complaints whatsoever and we would stay here again. Recommend it highly.

We had an absolutely wonderful time at Chris and Maureen’s cabin. It was the perfect location for our family. It’s on a large lot for the kids to play in the snow and less than a five minute drive to Tahoe Donner Cross Country ski area for the adults. The cabin itself is lovely and comfortable with a well stocked kitchen, a cozy gas burning stove in the living room and comfy beds. It even had lots of toys for the kids to play with! We loved this cabin in the snow!! Thank you Chris and Maureen!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is spacious, comfortable, and perfectly setup for a family ski vacation. We could tell the house has been well cared for, and feels more like a lived-in home and less like a staged showroom. We would definitely stay again.

We stayed in the cabin for a new year 2022 right after huge snowstorm . The owners were very responsive and kept us updated about the readiness of the cabin for us. Great communication, very helpful. We were able to snowshoeing right out of the cabin, it was beautiful! The cabin has all amenities for us and very clean! Highly recommend!

We had Thanksgiving here with our adult children. Since we are all in a different place with our physical fitness, it was wonderful that I could hike right out the back door in the Tahoe National Forest, and the boys could take on more challenging hikes. Our host was extremely responsive to all our needs and the house was well stocked. It all made for a wonderful holiday!

We enjoyed the 2 nights stay, we were all out by Donner Lake the whole day 1 and day2. IT'S not close to Donner Lake but it's approx 15min drive. Property is clean and cozy big enough for family of 2 with 4 grown up kids.Kids enjoyed the board games provided without playing their electronics. The only setback was room tend to be hot in the late afternoon and no aircon. to use, it's a good thing theres 1 ceiling fan in the living area, open the windows at night time and it helped cool it down, but overall we enjoyed the stay. Owner Chris respond immediately for inquiries.

Such a great time staying here! My husband and I, along with our 2 kids (ages 2 and 7) and my parents loved the cozy feel of this house. There was space outside for our kids to play in the snow. Toys inside to keep them occupied in the loft. It’s close to so many great snow play areas. The rooms are super comfortable and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. Chris and Maureen are great to work with as well! We had a great time!

House has a classic mountain cabin feel. It was very comfortable for our family of four (two teenagers). House is clean, comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen, and tasteful decor. Backs up to national forest land. Our stay was in the winter, we enjoyed snow shoeing in the forest, and the close 10 minute drive to the Tahoe Donner Ski Resort. Can sled in the backyard.

I was expecting a rustic cabin & was surprised by how nice the cabin was - I don't think the photos don't do it justice. The property has a national forest in the backyard, making for an ideal family "camping" trip complete with a kitchen, bathrooms, and comfortable beds.
