breakfast was good, room was good
I did not arrive on the day booked, advised booking.com at least 12 hours a head, booking.com said they will send message but hotel insist no message was received, so was still charged for that night that I did not use.

It was very comfortable
Expensive amenities. $10 for a bottle of 500ml water is just ridiculous. At least provide bottles of water to the room?

Only had a short overnight stay, however, it appears to be a very tidy modern and clean establishment. Food at dinner was good, maybe a little too A La Carte for my taste, but the chicken I had was very tasty and well presented.
Wine pricing, one of my pet hates, as usual, very expensive. A $20 bottle of Margret River Chardonnay, sold for $60. This is a world wide phenomena :-) Other than that, no gripes really, maybe bigger towels in the bathroom would be nice, but apart from that, all good.

Bed was very comfortable. Nicely decorated room. Quiet. Excellent view of track.
Shower and toilet (especially toilet very small and very close to bed) inadequate for us. Parking was unreliable when you had functions on - there was very little parking for hotel residents. As we have stayed here before we thought that the hotel was beginning to look tired. We are retired and racing enthusiasts and so move from Sydney/Brisbane/Melbourne for racing events although we live in Northern Rivers at Yamba we are very conscious of getting value for money.

Room was of a good standard, clean and comfortable. Only stayed one night so didn't get to wonder around the area, but the surrounds looked great
I think the staff in the dining could have been a lot more proactive in their service and actually make you feel like they wanted to be there. Several people just glazed over you. Did not have any staff actually proactively ask how they can assist.

Very nice building and room. Very clean, friendly staff, good breakfast, spacious grounds with beautiful landscaping
The bathroom - NO privacy not having a door on the bathroom, other than opaque glass doors into the shower and tiny toilet. when you are in the shower or toilet and have a light on in the bathroom, from the bedroom you see through the glass doors. if a guest wants to go to the bathroom at night the light wakes the other up - no door to keep the light out
For luxe and comfort, people require little disruption & some privacy

Staff were fantastic

The bed was clean but unsure if the robe and slippers were clean because I saw one was hung out of the closet and the wrapping of 1 pair of slippers was missing, the other pair was fine and looked brand new.
Service and amenities were not up to 5 stars as it claims to be on Booking.com
Unhelpful and inattentive service, not meeting the criteria for a 5-star hotel and to name a few:
1. no butler or doorman. The door was heavy, no security to detain outsiders smoking in front of the main entrance, and I was surprised how short-staffed they were when the lobby was dark and the bar was closed before 10:15 pm
2. no room service at all after 10:30 pm (when I mentioned I was after this service at the time of check-in at around 10:25 pm, the staff did not remind us of their service was about to close. Later we went back and asked for suggestions of where we could get food, we were just given a list of restaurants that 9 out of 10 were already closed.
3. No explanation of how to access wifi - we had to try different available wifi detected on our phones to end up realising it is named with the facility next door, but not the name of the hotel
4. TV streaming did not work

the location was nice
when checking out at 5am in the morning. the gates for the car park were closed and we were locked outside. Reception lady was gone and tried calling a number but no one picked up. Had to wait outside for 5-10mins, to go inside. Keycard didn’t work when trying to scan inside. Would have been nice for someone to stay around by the reception when they saw customers leaving.

The staff at reception were great, happy, friendly and helpful.
The meal in the restaurant was excellent.
The bed was terrible, and the light switch on the wall to the bathroom glowed all night

Everything about it
Location but its good because it's at the racecourse

Staff were very professional, nice area around the racecourse to walk and have a look
the bathroom only had a glassed door which did not feel private enough. It was very uncomfortable to use especially with another person in the room. I hope the hotel can seriously consider having solid doors to the bathroom.

it is clean and the room is spacious for a family. And they gave us two rooms connected to each other which made our stay very comfortable with two high energy kids. and they have swimming pool on the roof which is exciting to the kids.
the bathroom is too small and there is no door to the bathroom, they only use foggy glass doors to separate toilet and shower area. And the swimming pool broke down for two days. my kids barely got the chance to enjoy the swimming pool.
8.0
clean and luxurious
bed side lamp kept flashing during the night
