'Day Dream' Family Beach Cottage Half Block to Beach
About this house rental
This is a beach cottage beauty! Truly a 'Day Dream' at the beach. Just a half block to the beautiful sugar-sand beaches of Destin Florida. Clean and well maintained throughout the interior, and new trim paint on the exterior. New tile on the upstairs wraparound balcony. New recessed lighting and trim on the lower wraparound balcony plus fresh paint. New floors on the stairs and second story, with hardwood and travertine floors on the first. Spacious 2,085 sq. ft. 3 bedroom, 2.5 baths plus a loft in the master. The master has a king bed, futon, smart HD TV and Blu-ray player. The loft can be used as a gaming room for the kids. It has a smart TV and Blu-ray player and a day/trundle bed that sleeps two. The spacious master bath has a separate walk-in shower and large Jacuzzi/spa tub. Both downstairs bedrooms open to the backyard area which features an extensive paver-stone patio area with a huge 5-burner gas grill. The first guest bedroom has a queen bed and 40 inch smart HD TV with Blu-ray player. This bedroom shares a Jack-n-Jill bath with the 2nd guest bedroom, however the half-bath is right next to this bedroom. The third bedroom features 2 bunk beds each with a full/twin mattress sleeping 6 kids comfortably. The bunk room also has a 40 inch smart HD TV with Blu-ray player. The den features a 50 inch smart HD TV with Blu-ray player with a sound bar and two full sleeper sofas. High definition cable TV and wireless internet is included. The dining room table has room for eight and the fully stocked kitchen features a gas stove and a gas double oven plus microwave and stainless fridge with filtered water and ice maker. The first and second floor wrap-around porches are perfect for relaxing with a nice beverage. BEACH ACCESS: Five houses to the east and you are out of the subdivision entrance. Go one half block down Crystal Beach Drive and just to the right of The Inn at Crystal Beach and you are at the public beach access. It is a short and easy walk. (click the "Location" tab) COMMUNITY POOL: Is eight houses away on the same side of the street.

The property is exactly as promised - walking distance to the beach, quiet neighborhood and clean. We didn’t have hot water for the first part of our stay, but it was fixed as soon as I reached out to Ray. The front door is a little quirky but calling the property manager helped us get in. I would return to the property in the future!

The group had an amazing time with this property and will definitely return next time we have this many people. Very walkable to the beach in a quiet, friendly neighborhood. We did have an issue with not having enough hot water for our 12 people to shower every evening and parking was tight for 4 vehicles. The host and neighbors are chill so long as your group does the same.

We had a wonderful stay! The house was the perfect setup for our family. Loved the brightness of the home & the neighborhood. The location was great with close proximity to the beach, pool and restaurants/shopping. Looking forward to returning!

This was a very good experience. No problems with the reservation, or condition of the property. Could not ask for easier access, check in or check out. We had a great time.

The house was great and the location was too. The only strange thing was the lack of hospitality. Only one dish towel in the kitchen, no replacement for toilet paper or paper towels. The oven mits for taking pans out of the oven were almost useless. Along with that, someone came up and worked on a sprinkler right in front of the front door for about an hour or so without notifying us beforehand. Also, on the last night we were staying, huge bags of sheets, blankets, etc. were just left right in front of the door. Seems unprofessional when we weren't set to leave until the morning after. Would be a 5-star review if it wasn't for those things.

We couldn’t get in, due to the deadbolt lock not unlocking and we’re told it was going to be an hour before they could get someone to us…. But once we were in everything was perfect!!!

The house was clean and comfortable and the location was great. Short walk to the beach and many restaurants and shops close by. You will need to bring all the beach equipment you like to use or buy it while there.

Great location. Not to far from bars and restaurants.
The only negative thing was we weren’t aware that there wouldn’t be blankets for every bed!

The neighborhood was quite which was what the family was looking for also the beach was close by which was of the utmost importance. The property managers does respond quickly to your request/ concerns.

definitely bring your own blankets. 8 people can sleep comfortable without pull out sofas.

Great location!
The house was great & we had enough beds for all 12 of us. We were concerned that the AC wasn’t cooling off the upstairs bedroom & loft compared to the rest of the house (first night there) but woke up cold in the middle of the night, so it just needed time to cool off & worked perfectly the rest of the week. This house is just a short walk from the beach. They’ve got strict HOA rules but I can see why - the neighborhood is very well maintained. The pool’s just a few houses down & clean as well. I would stay here again.

Perfect Beach House!
We loved this house and the location! It was such a quaint and beautiful neighborhood and it was truly just a short walk to the beach. We took a utility wagon and loaded everything we needed and walked over. House was clean and large enough for all 10 of us. Loved spending evenings and mornings on the front porch. Ray was super easy to work with and was very prompt in answering any questions. Thank you for sharing your house with us! We made lots of wonderful memories!
