Nice home to rent if you have a large family

Our stay was beautiful. The house is laid out perfectly for a big family to stay. Beach access right across the street was easy and great food less than a mile or two away!

When booked on VRBO it said that it was a 5 bedrooms house. It wasn’t. When arrived we were short one bedroom. I was mislead on this rental. After spending over 2:30hours on the phone with people that could barely speak English and being sent from one person to another. 3 phone calls later they finally told me that the VRBO website did mention only 4 bedrooms. It didn’t! The website description was changed by someone to correct the mistake while they made me wait on the phone. VRBO made a fool out of me! I already have one reservation for the end of the year, that I’m not planning to change now, but one thing is true: I WILL NEVER EVER USE YOUR SERVICES AGAIN.

Easy access to beach with plenty of room for our guests as well as entertainment space and an excellent selection of movies to boot!

The house was nice size. The kitchen was equipped with everything you would need for cooking and the dining area was perfect for the entire group to eat together. The only downfall to this property were the mattresses; all mattresses need replaced. The furniture in the living rooms were outdated as well.

Enjoyed our time together at the beach. Perfect room layout and location for our family. Great kitchen for big family meals. Loved it!

Had everything we needed and the only complaint which is a small complaint was the cable in the bedrooms. The location was awesome and the house had everything you need for a week at the beach. Looking forward to staying there next year.

The kitchen was very modern and had all of the amenities needed for the week. We especially enjoyed going up to the crow's nest and taking in the view of the ocean and the Wright Brother's Memorial, or sitting out on one of the other decks. We've stayed in a few houses in the Outer Banks, but we'll definitely be coming back to this one again!

There weren't really any conveniences within walking distance so it ended up being a week with a lot of driving. We have stayed in several beach communities and this wasn't our favorite but seems typical for the outer banks. All in all a nice place that delivered everything it promised.

One point, you need to bring your own garbage bags and food wraps as none of these were provided. The location is right on Beach Rd, which can be busy and rather noisy, but not this was not noticable at night. The home is right across from beach access, which is very convenient.

We arrived early and were able to check in about an hour early. The house is very spacious and fully stocked with kitchen goods. It is a corner lot so we didn't feel crowded by neighbors. The beach is literally right across the street which was great with kids. The road is a little busy but you are just not going to be able to escape that in KDH. I would recommend this home and if KDH is where you want to be this was the best choice for the price. We loved the crow's nest deck at night, its not very big but perfect for a little escape to look at the stars. Everything was in working condition and the beds were comfy, I would recommend this home.

The location was a bit more crowded than you might find at some other NC beaches, but by no means packed or cramped. Also for the house itself, it was maybe a 60 second walk or less to the beach, and it is also right by a life guard stand which was nice to know. The property was very clean and well maintained, and easily accommodated our family. It would have been nice to have some beach equipment there but that was a bit lacking--a few extra chairs in the outdoor closet, but not beach chairs which would have been nice, or an umbrella. Overall this did not take away from the stay though and we had a great time. The other good thing about the location is that there are plenty of restaurants and activities nearby (especially nice if you end up having a rainy day).
