Located in Truckee, this charming house for $1,113 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. Experience breathtaking views of the Carson Range from this beautifully designed hilltop abode. With a bright, open floor plan featuring vaulted ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows, this home is the perfect place to relax and take in the scenery. Of the five bedrooms and bonus office, four offer stunning mountain views, and there are two decks for outdoor enjoyment. Please note that the maximum occupancy of is strictly limited to 12 guests and BBQ grill is NOT available during winter Requirement: No pets and no smoking. Features: At entry level: - A mud room at entry can store coats and boots. -A combined mud/laundry room connects the 2-car garage with the living area. The room is equipped with a washer and a dryer. It can store dirty laundry and cleaning supplies. It also can store coats, boots & skis. It has a long bench for sitting. - A large living room that is equipped with TV, wood fireplace and two couches. Both kitchen and dining area are open to the living room. The dining table can sit 10 people. Living room has floor-to-ceiling windows with incredible mountain views. -A kitchen has granite counter tops and it is equipped with stainless steel appliances. including a large fridge, a microwave, an oven, a gas stove-top. The kitchen has an eat-in counter with 3 bar stools. -A master bedroom has a Cal King bed, gas fireplace with remote control. It has a walk-in closet and a bathroom that is equipped with separate shower, double sinks and a jetted tub. This bedroom has huge windows and views of mountains. - There is a half bathroom at this level. - A large deck that has magnificent panorama view of the mountains with propane BBQ. At Loft: - a game room with foosball table. At lower Level: - Second master bedroom has a TV, a small walk-in closet and full bathroom with shower/Tub. This bedroom has mountain views. - Third master bedroom with 4 tween Bunk Beds. This room has a sitting area, surround sound system with TV and a full bathroom with shower/Tub. - Fourth bedroom with two regular twin beds. This bedroom has mountain views. - Fifth bedroom has one queen bed and has access to deck. -Office has a TV and two computer monitors. It also has a sofa that can be pulled out to convert into a queen bed. It has mountain views and access to the hot tub and 2nd deck. - A hot tub is located on the deck with sweeping views of the mountains.

This property is beautiful and was very roomy. My entire group loved everything about it especially the view from the outdoor deck. The jacuzzi was very warm and the kitchen was fully equipped. Would definitely come back here!

The floor plan of the home was very nice and the back view was amazing. The home has plenty of room to where you do not feel crowded. The downfall is the home was lacking attention to issues such as the cleanliness and items that needed fixing around the house. The home obviously receives a quick run over before turning it over to the next renter.

We really enjoyed the home. Space was great - I really liked the high ceilings and the bunk bed room for the kids. It is close to Tahoe Donner and slope up wasn't too steep even if heavy snow we were able to get up and down. Owner was responsive to our questions. I would stay here again.

DISHONEST HOST, SEVERAL KEY AMENITY ISSUES, which the host or the cleaner was NO HELP in addressing them, and the host was DISHONEST about the issues and technically called us liars! Also, the Vrbo customer service was absolutely no help and ridiculously called the issues "minor issues". Here are the issues:
1. The hottub (Spa): Very frustrating. The hot tub kept SHUTTING DOWN, the water was COLD, and really DIRTY!! It was clearly not cleaned after the previous guests! After following up with the host, the cleaner suggested to turn it on and off. However, this only solved the issue for a few minute. The hottub was one of the main reasons why we had chosen this place. We could have booked much better and much cheaper places without a hottub. So technically, we wasted our money for this place that said had a hottub but actually didn’t.
The host claimed they had cleaned and checked the water pH before our check in and the hottub was so hot that it tripped the breaker. However, the water was still cold and dirty even after 24 hours of not using it. The maintenance person told us that the reason these issues was the low level of water inside the tub. The water level was like this when we checked in. They did not know the problem but kept blaming that on us. TOTAL SCAM...WE HAVE PICTURES OF THIS.
2. BBQ Grill: The grill was NOT functional. The cleaner called and said SHE DOESN'T KNOW WHAT TO DO! NO WORKING PROPANE TANK FOR a place in this price range! We bought another propane tank for $29 ourselves and have the receipt. Setting aside that $29 for the tank, the Vrbo support called this "a minor issue" (how is it minor?). The host said they had filled up both propane tanks for the BBQ grill and we used them all. Also he claimed his cleaner called and resolved the issue for us which is TOTAL DISHONESTY as she exactly said SHE DOEN’T KNOW WHAT TO DO! We were not able to grill anything we planned after five hours trying and and we had to throw everything away. Vacation ruined!!
3. Audio System was not working, and NO help in this regard!!!
4. The house was NOT CLEAN. There were many dirts on the sofas, on the dinning table, and on the dishes.
5. No fire starter or lighter for the fire place!!
THIS PLACE IS A TOTAL JOKE AND SCAM!!!
If you want to RUIN your vacation, definitely get this place!

Amazing cabin!
We stayed here for the holiday weekend. Can’t say enough good things! The view is incredible, the craftsmanship is beautiful, so many rooms and beds and especially bathrooms. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back!!

The home was amazing, the view from the back deck was incredible, watching the deer, chipmunks and quail was quite entertaining for all of us. Even though the time we were there it was smoky from the CA fires, we had plenty to do indoors with game nights, movies and lots of cooking in the large kitchen. Family dinners around the huge dining table were a blessing and the evening and morning dips in the private hot tub were so relaxing. We had a fairly clear day to rent and ride bikes along the Truckee River and that was very fun. Overall fantastic experience, the home was gorgeous and we will definitely be back again. Hoping to make it an annual event for family get togethers. We give it 5 stars!

We had so much fun! The house was just what we needed. We had 6 adults, 2 teen girls, 2 teen boys, 1 elementary aged kid and 2 four year old boys! The house does not have AC so it can get a bit warm with the sun shining in but there was generally a slight breeze if you open the windows. The kitchen was nice but it did lack a few basic utensils such as measuring spoons and dry measuring cups. Some updated utensils such as spatulas, tongs, etc would be nice. Some additional mixing bowls and storage containers would be nice as well. There was no laundry detergent and only a few pods for the dishwasher so we did have to go out to buy those items.
Overall, the house was lovely and our group really enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

Beautiful location but could be cleaner
This home is gorgeous with a view from the deck you could stare at all day. Terrific BBQ there as well. Very spacious and comfortable for the 4 members of my family. It could have been cleaner, however. There was a lot of hair in the shower of the downstairs master BR, and the blanket in the double twin bedroom smelled like urine. One more thing to be aware of - the paperwork sent by the owner said that network TV was available in the downstairs bunk room - but that is not the case. Didn’t miss not having it anyway. Overall, a very enjoyable place to stay.

Wonderful stay
This is my second time staying at this home and it is as beautiful as I remember it. There was no snow in Truckee when we arrived but we were welcome with overnight fresh powder overnight on the beautiful deck view. Plenty of rooms and separate spaces for everyone and very clean. I would stay here again.

It's larger on the inside!
The house definitely seemed larger than was advertised, which was awesome. The main living room was comfortable and a great place to lounge with everyone. Our group of snowboarders enjoyed this very much!

Fabulous Tahoe Donner Home
This is our 2nd season renting this beautiful home on top of the world in Tahoe Donner. Stunning views and a lovely house perfect for large groups or families. We've already planned another stay this winter. Highly recommend to anyone visiting North Tahoe!!

Beautiful vista
This house is amazing. One of the best views in town. I grew up here and was still amazed at the beauty and serenity afforded by the behemoth. So many rooms that one went unused. Well stocked kitchen. Fireplace was great, bring kindling for an east start. The only knock on the entire property is that the hdmi port on the tv isn’t working and it’s attached to the wall so you k my have access to the broken one. Otherwise every single facet of this property lived up to (and exceeded) expectations!

Amazing view - great stay with large family
Perfect place for a family reunion - the view is outstanding. The rooms were very comfortable and the kitchen sufficiently stocked. The hill in the backyard was perfect for some fast sledding. Would stay here again.

NIce house for a winter family vacation
Overall the house is great: very spacious, great view, hot tub on the balcony.
There were a few issues that did not let me rate it 5 star overall:
1) We did not find a tea pot. Serious problem for a winter dwelling.
2) Three bathrooms have non-working locks, and in the master bedroom one of the guests got locked inside.
3) Master bedroom does not get any heat at all, not from the main heating, nor from the gas fireplace.
4) gas fire place in the master bedroom smells a bit of propane
5) For the price I would expect a few more board games/books/entertainment

The house was not clean. Mold in showers, rings in toilet, dirt etc under beds. Not sure if it had been cleaned in a while since our arrival. Very few amenities. Knives could barely cut, no spices or literally anything. 2 pods for dish washer and washing machine. No cleaning supplies at all, only 1 roll paper towels. Really not what you expect from a vrbo listing. I myself rent a home on vrbo in the same price range and would never do this to my renters. I think this is what happens when you entrust a real estate agency instead of home owner to the rental process. We cleaned the house and had to purchase absolutely everything from cleaning products, garbage bags to spices and really basics.

Beautiful tahoe trip
The view is the one of the best I have ever seen. The house could be cleaner, the counters, the coffee maker, and the floors. However, we made due by wiping things down and and a wonderful time was had by all.
