Breakfast was very rich and tasteful. Staff was very professional and i liked the old days design inside the hotel
There was some holes in the walls that could be easily covered up. Lighting in the rooms not as good as expected or used to. Lots of traffic outside the windows, because its located close to the main road of Arendal

It is near the Center and has parking right next to the hotel.
They have no parking agreement and you have to pay full price, that’s a downside.
I asked for an early check in in advance, but I did not get a respond to if it would be possible before arrival. When we got there they could not check us in, it would have been nice to know in advance. The restroom was not very clean and it was not any soap to was our hands. The elevator was clearly old and the buttons was dirty and got stuck when you pressed them. Initially our room looked good, but we soon discovered that the light bulb was out. There was a huge window overlooking the backyard, it was beautiful! But we soon discovered that the curtains was broken, they were obviously not hanging right and it was missing to big pieces so it would not cover the whole window. It is very light at night this time of year in Norway. The purpose of my stay was an operation at the nearby hospital and my main goal was to get rest and a good nights sleep before my operation. We notified the staff about the light bulb and the curtains. The staff was not very helpful and initially just tried to tell us that there was no problem, when it clearly was. She then insisted that she could not help us and that they where fully booked so we could not change the rom. I was the one who came up with different solutions and asked if we could hang up something else in front of the window and asked if she could call maintenance. She said there was no maintenance nor did they have extra curtains. We said it was impossible for us to stay in a room without being able to sleep, because that was the whole purpose of us staying there. She changed the light bulb, but we had to find a new hotel do to the circumstances. I would not recommend staying at this hotel.

Excellent high end accommodation with very helpful and attentive staff to your needs and questions. Rooms are excellent with plenty of space. it includes a large bed with clean linen and very comfortable pillows. there was a desk with chairs and a good sized bathroom for what we needed. also comes with kettle, mugs, wine glasses and shower accessories.
Breakfast was excellent with lots of hot and cold options including cereal, eggs, potato, beans, fresh bread, fruit, pastry, sandwiches and drinks. They also provide a light soup with bread in the evening and then you can have a larger meal out if needed. they have 25% off 4 restaurants around the harbour.
Old decor but overall very clean and impressive
no in-house laundry service for guest use

nice center location, very good breakfast

The location was good.
What I didn't like was the : Warmed up liver pate served at breakfast!
The price for a GnT at the bar and the flashing neon sign from the hairdressers across the road. Obviously nothing the hotel was responsible for but it did become an irritation!

Perfect location in a lovely town. Very friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast and evening soup. Easy access to local buses and shopping.
The single room was extremely small; between bed and desk, it was hard to turn around. There was no place to unpack or keep clothing. The shower was quite hard to use without flooding the bathroom. Bottom line, single rooms have GOT to have more space.

Location,Quiet, parking exactly near hotel 150 Nok/day,the food în the evening(something can make a sandwich)is excellent when you are tired and have no Time to find a restaurant.
In my opinion , the furniture is a bit old and needs to be refurbished.

Very central and great value for the price. We arrived in the evening and were too tired to walk around and look for a restaurant so we really appreciated the soup and sandwich fixings included in the price of the hotel. The breakfast the next day was also very good and filling with a lot to choose from. Staff was very friendly and check in was a breeze! Beds were comfortable and we appreciated being able to make a cup of tea and coffee in the room. My husband loved the decor and thought it cozy and unique.
I thought the room was a bit cramped and needs some updating or a coat of paint in some areas. I think the bathroom would benefit from a facelift, too. The shower curtain was annoying as it kept sticking to me while showering. Needs to be cleaned better or the grout around the tiles need to be redone as they look moldy. Outside door to the bathroom also needs a wipe down. I would have appreciated extra pillows and a better reading lamp. This is my honest opinion but I will say it didn’t detract from my overall comfort. I understand that we are all doing our best in these difficult times and it is not an easy task to run and manage a hotel.

Good room, nice discount at restaurant in harbour. Parking house nearby.
Room view to a very dirty backyard. It takes 30 min to clean up the old dirt and to look pleasant.
In the elevator is informed that breakfast is until 10.30 but at 10 they started to clean up.
The "light dinner" in the booking is a bad joke.

Location was perfect - short walk into the centre. Very close to underground parking house. Breakfast was really good.
road noise. Window needed to be open to keep room cool. Lacked black-out curtains
