We loved staying in this safe residential area, away from the bustle of the city below. Even in February, it was a peaceful escape, and I can only imagine how much of an oasis it would be in the heat of the summer with the lovely high ceilings and generous outside space. Our hosts gave us some great recommendations of places to eat nearby which were the highlight of our stay! Easy bus routes into the centre, but our (urban, used to it) 10 year old managed the walk with a gelato / maritozzo stop or two!

Comfortable and very well equipped ground floor flat in a relatively quiet, up-market and green area of Rome (lovely public parks nearby), only a 15-minute walk or 5-minute bus ride down to the more lively and popular tourist zone of Trastevere. A very good place to be in the hotter summer months being up on the hill of Monteverde vecchio and having a pleasant private shaded patio garden. Very helpful owners live in flat above.

Great location, comfortable home and beautiful hosts!
On arrival, Arturo & Marcella greeted us & helped us settle in. Marcella walked me to the local convenience store to buy milk, bread & essential items for our stay. The next day Arturo kindly drove us to our tour meeting point. The house is very comfortable and in an amazing location. We hope to return again!

We had a truly brilliant stay at the property. Arturo and Marcella are kind, thoughtful and helpful hosts. They went above and beyond to make us welcome and provided everything we needed for a relaxing family break.
Their local knowledge was amazing and so helpful. We had a fantastic time. Highly recommend

The appartment is as described with a good kitchen and nice outside area. It's situated in a quiet residential neigbourhood with everything nearby, café, restaurants, even a drinksbar with mocktails for the teenagers. Arturo and his wife are very helpful hosts and we had a very good stay.

Our stay in Rome was wonderful. Arturo, our host met us at the door and showed us the apartment, explained how to use the nearby public transportation and local sites that we should see. The apartment was clean, very comfortable and quiet! It’s located in a neighborhood with few tourists so we were surrounded by the sounds of children playing, families talking and bird song. Would highly recommend and hope to be able to come again.

Our hosts Marcella and Arturo were most welcoming and helpful! Great location to walk to Vatican, Testavere, many historical sights and beautiful viewing areas. Easy to get to and from the pleasant neighborhood with good bus service close by. It was a very clean, quiet & roomy suite on ground level with a private back patio.Highly recommend their place & love to stay again ! Grazie

Amazing property and people. Arturo was helpful with directions, where to eat, etc. located near bus stop and great local food. It fit our family of four adults-two young adults for in the bunk beds. Local market just around the corner for food and drinks.

Arturo was a great and friendly host! The apartment was just as described and Monteverde is a nice area of Rome away from the crowds but close enough to walk to Trastevere (if you can handle the steps/hill). Has everything you need, great for families. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

The hosts, Arturo and Marcella, were so kind and helpful. The property was the cleanest (6 or 7 star!) and best equipped of any in our travels. With the sofa bed in the living room, there is plenty of space for five, and the outdoor courtyard was an unexpected delight. The walk to/from the Trastevere restaurant district takes about 20 minutes but is mostly uphill on the way back. We loved our time in Rome and would definitely stay again here!

We had good communication with Arturo and this continued through out our stay. The apartment was nice and clean and in a great area. The bus, mini Market, pasticceria, restaurants and more close by.

First things first, Marcella and Arturo are amazing hosts being incredibly helpful and having lots of good tips for your stay.
The apartment is really beautiful, perfectly maintained and equipped with everything you need.
The location of the apartment is also excellent: comparatively quiet location for Rome, with restaurants, cafes, supermarkets and bus stops being close by.
Thank you, Marcella and Arturo, for making this a perfect stay. If we will visit Rome again, this is our place to go.

If you are looking for something a little away from the busyness of Rome but still close enough to enjoy stuff this is the perfect place. The apartment was wonderful, set off the road with a nice patio to relax in the evening air. Arturo and Marcella were gracious host and easy to communicate with. Would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend.

This is one of the best stays that we've ever had. The accommodation is spacious, very, VERY clean and equipped with absolutely everything you need. Location is great too - both in terms of surroundings and distance to town. Marcella and Arturo are such brilliant hosts, they'd do anything to help you feel special. Thank you so much for making our trip amazing by letting us stay at your lovely property. We will be back!

Thank you so much for hosting us in Rome. We really enjoyed our stay - the property is very true to the photographs. Good transport links to central Rome which were effectively explained by the host on arrival. Host provided a map of the local area with helpful recommendations and was really welcoming. The shower has good pressure, plenty of towels provided, and a very nice outdoor space too. If we were to revisit Rome in the future we would consider staying again. Thank you.

Located in a Middle or high-middle class Roman neighborhood, one has the privilege of staying in real Rome, and not in the hipper-touristy areas. quiet side street, private garden, and relatively easy, free street parking (we had a car). Walking distance from the beautiful view points above Rome, as well as downhill to Trastevere and center. Easy public transportation options. Perfection.

Marcella and Arturo were lovely, lovely hosts! The flat was even more gracious than described -- spacious and comfortable for five of us (one in the master bedroom, two sharing the bunk bed room, and two sharing the fold-out bed in the living room), a floor-to-ceiling built-in wardrobe in the master with space enough for those in the living room to unpack their clothes as well, a fully-functional and stocked kitchen, and fabulous patio. The flat is two blocks from a good grocery store, one block from a wonderful restaurant (Il Focolare), and a ten minute walk to the Acqua Paola. The calm of Monteverde is a welcome respite after the busyness of Trastevere and the rest of Rome. We felt like it was home during our whole stay, and my four children (all in their twenties) agreed that we would stay there again.

Arturo was very welcoming and had even taken care of cleaning the accommodation a few hours before official check in time because we arrived earlier. The accommodation was very clean, there were plenty of extra blankets and Arturo also provided us with an informational folder regarding nice restaurants in the neighborhood and public transport options. This was very much appreciated and made use of! The AC worked beautifully and mosquitoes had no chance of getting into the house due to carefully placed mosquito nets on all windows. Thank you Arturo for a wonderful stay and your willingness to even ride us back to the airport at 5 in the morning!

An oasis in Rome
This apartment is beautiful and lovely place to stay for a trip to Rome. It’s set back from the street in a tree lined neighborhood, providing privacy and the ability to hear birds singing more than street noise. There is a lot of space inside and out, including a spacious kitchen and bathroom and a large patio behind the building. The hosts were incredibly communicative and helpful, explaining everything about the house during check in. Plus the location is about a 10 minute walk to Trastevere where you can find lots of cafes and restaurants. Getting to some of the tourist attractions takes a longer walk or the use of transit options, but if you want some space and seclusion while in Rome this apartment is a fantastic option.

Fabulous!
We have just returned from a fabulous holiday in Rome, staying at this wonderful apartment. Both Marcella and Arturo are wonderful hosts. We were so well looked after but they were also unobtrusive in their help. The apartment is really well sized and well equipped to meet all our needs while away from home. Thank you so much!

Authentic Italian Home
Arturo and Marcella’s home is beautiful it is much larger than the European hotel rooms I’ve stayed in the past. The location was perfect, home very clean with lovely terrace. We had a great stay at the apartement thanks to Marcella and Arturo. It was super clean and calm. The neighbourhood is also pretty nice and our toddler enjoyed the playground at the park next to the house.
There are lots of bus stations close to the apartement which will transfer you to all "must-sees" in Rome.
We had a great time. Thank you so much!

Wonderful!
We would recommend this property for those who are looking to get away from the city and experience a great neighbourhood.. Arturo and Marcella were very accommodating - providing information on the neighbourhood and transportation options. On the day we were leaving Arturo drove us to the car rental office and stayed with us to ensure all was in order. We would definitely stay there again

A beautiful stay in a neighborhood overlooking it all!
What a wonderful property, especially if you want to have a unique experience of Roma from a spacious and comfortable place removed from the tourist traffic.
Arturo met us as we pulled up in a taxi and helped us get settled, and then even offered to take us on a short tour of the neighborhood including a beautiful overlook that served as a jumping off point for our imaginations of what we wanted to do in the coming days. He was such an accessible and friendly host, and even let us meet his very sweet dog when we were missing our pup.
My husband and I spent five days here and absolutely loved it. It is a bit of a walk down to the tourist spots--the Vatican, Trasterverte, etc--but it is all very do-able and easy to get a cab back if you don't feel like hiking the hills or walking at night. You just need to plan ahead for the time it will take to hit sites, though Arturo also pointed out there is a very reliable bus that stops nearby (we just preferred to walk and take it all in).
Staying a little off the beaten path means you have the bonus of getting to see places many tourists won't venture out to since they aren't highlighted in their guides, like the neighborhood this property is located in, and also Villa Doria Pamphili, which is a really beautiful park for running!
Everything advertised in the property was in good working order, and the full kitchen and nearby grocery stores were a big help in letting us make our breakfasts from home each day, and having one meal in.
Arturo, thank you for your hospitality! We would love to stay in your place again and only wish we had been able to visit Rome even longer.
