Breakfast in the relaxed Sfakiot style, chatting with the host Aristotleas about his olive harvest. Spacious room and veranda. Great facilities. Good through draft. Beautiful garden with lawn edging onto the beach. Walk straight into the sea. Warm fresh water shower on the edge of the beach.

It was all good.

Frangokastello is a wonderful part of Sfakia always revealing new secrets. Stavris apartments are in a beautiful setting. While its quiet it has two tavernas on its doorstep. ( one is late night if that's your thing and a supermarket across the road. A 10 minute walk will open up a wider selection of tavernas many of which are not obvious from the road. The studios were spacious but the real selling point is that the accommodation is practically on the beach with beds available free of charge. Arosteteli and his crew are on hand to solve any problems. The air condityioner worked well which was important as temperatures hit 43 on our stay in August 2021. Wonderful night sky from the decent sized balcony.

Its not a modern apartment but that did not bother us as all conveniences are available.

The accommodation was really on the beach, among green trees. The green makes the place very cozy!

The breakfast for the price: it was catastrophic! A single egg, a tiny butter, a tiny jam, orange juice! - and coffee or tea? All for 7 euros! I have spent all my holidays in Crete for 4 years, but I have never met such a poor breakfast anywhere else! - this is not the famous Greek hospitality! The owner is an older grumpy man!

Sea view and breach right outside the room/balcony. Beautiful beach and quiet. Room big and with sofa.

Breakfast was bread and jam/honey with coffee/tea. We had much better value elsewhere, though bread was good. Kitchen has everything so better to use it if not too lazy.

The rooms were big, well-equipped and comfortable. Best of all, it was right on the beach so it was a real holiday for the kids and for us.

This place was a dream! I stayed with 4 other girlfriends of mine for 4 nights and we did not want to leave. Very quiet, right on a beautiful private beach, you cannot ask for more if you want to relax and enjoy the beautiful island. The owner Aristoteles is the best - friendly and cool!

The ocean view was beautiful from the balcony. The room was just like it was in the photo. All is well, and clean and we enjoyed our stay. The staff was also very nice and helpful. It's close to the Fragocastelo castle.

Everything is good except swimming

I was the best holiday on Crete we ever had. The sea was close, the beach and sea water clean. We had big tidy room with comfortable bed and nice kitchenette. We could watch the sunset from the big balcony and listen to the waves. It is dark at night, no street lights around, so we could watch the night sky. The host was kind and considerate. We will definitely come back. See you soon Aristoteles!

Easy to find. All rooms with a sea view. We booked a studio with kitchenette. Beds comfortable usual basic room. Very clean and great value. Was lovely to walk out of our room and just dip into the sea. Would recommend.
