Beautifully positioned on the 17th floor of Pelican Beach Resort, this two-bedroom, two-bathroom condo offers a lovely view of the Gulf of Mexico coastline, just a few steps from the white sand beach in Destin. On the grounds of the resort, you'll have access to swimming pools, a hot tub & a pair of fitness centers, not to mention access points to a gorgeous stretch of Gulf-front beach. Come home at the end of each sunny day to kick back on the balcony with a view of the shoreline, get a homemade dinner going in the fully appointed kitchen, or simply relax in the company of three TVs, a DVD player, free WiFi & a CD stereo system. At night, take your pick of a king bedroom, a queen bedroom & an additional sleeper sofa. Pelican Beach Resort is a Gulf-front property on the sparkling shores of Destin, an ideal escape for those looking to swim, surf, sunbathe, take long walks along the beach & test their skills in a wide variety of water sports. You'll also be right in the midst of Destin's most popular attractions, with Big Kahuna's Water & Adventure Park practically across the road, The Track's go-karts and miniature golf course less than a mile east & the Destin Harbor Boardwalk just over two miles west. Tee off on the Seminole Course or the Choctaw Course at Indian Bayou Golf & Country Club (two miles northeast), find an assortment of eateries and grocery stores within a few minutes' drive (including Target and Winn-Dixie half a mile northwest) & enjoy the natural splendor of Henderson Beach State Park (two miles east). THINGS TO KNOW Beach service is available for rent from March 31st to August 1st. These setups may block the view of the beach from your vacation rental. Guests must be 25 years of age or older to check in or stay. If you are under 25 years old and are not accompanied by a parent or legal guardian that is 25 years of age or older, you will not be permitted to stay in this unit. Please call Vacasa as soon as possible about your reservation. Pelican Beach Resort is currently undergoing construction. This vacation rental will be unaffected except for construction noises. From March 20, 2023 until May 26, 2023, the walkways will have work being conducted, but you will still have access to your vacation rental. The Pelican Beach Resorts Gulf-front pool will be closed until June 10, 2023 (weather permitting) due to balcony construction. Walkway construction will also take place from October 1, 2023, until February 1, 2024. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit. More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page. Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

Pretty nice, but need new love seat and sofa. Front door needs work, wind whistles through it. instructions.

Overall a great place. Very clean and great views. Only one complaint and the one thing i wish the listing would have noted is the beach service chairs. Book your beach chairs early if you want close to the water. You can only set up personal chairs behind beach service chairs. With no view of the water. And both properties beside it are also private beach so you cant set up there either. They didnt have any left to rent that day so it was frustrating. We will know next time

This rental was fine as far as space, and the view was nice. Other than that, it was very basic. The cleanliness of the place was fair at best, and the carpet really through me off considering we’re at the beach, and there’s sand tracked in and out.

Shower curtains covered in mold. Pull out couch had stains. Pile of sand on the carpet. Had to wipe counters down. Took multiple pictures of everything. Do not rent this place. I want my money back. Horrible experience. Spent half an our locked our on arrival to be hung up on twice before getting a code that would work. Luggage was soaked.

When we walked in it was smaller than we had thought it to be. But once we got settled in everything was intelligently laid out. Full kitchen with anything you could need to cook a home cooked meal, living room and balcony were like a peaceful escape from the long days of sights and fun. Only compliant is that the room with the queen bed was so small that pretty much only the bed could fit in the room.

Hot water: room not presented as what I was led to believe I was as renting. Needs a complete update. Please change the old green carpet. I did not feel clean the entire time I was there. No tv for one week. No instructions for working the tv. News was from weeks ago . Tv would turn off and go to another show in the middle of an old show. We finally kept it on just for noise. Sorry but this place is overpriced and rated for the beach.

Property definitely needing updating. The chairs on balcony and table were gross and I didn’t want to sit on them because they were disgusting. Kitchen chair was broken. When we arrived, there was a half eaten orange left on the couch… the dishwasher was broken, so we contacted the property manager, they said someone would be out Monday. Not sure if anyone was ever out. Never got notification that they were there. I washed the dishes we used the entire week except one dish that I ran the dishwasher to say we did. There were barely any dishes or cookware. I had to wash every dish before using them as they were all dirty. Not pleased with the unit. But We loved the resort. We will definitely be coming back to the resort!!! Everything was so clean, and the staff was extremely friendly, and loved all the activities! The beach was beautiful and we will definitely be back!!!!

We throughly enjoyed staying at the Pelican resort. There were a few issues, a lot of the outlets were not working so it was difficult to charge electronics such as iPads and phones. There was also not enough blankets/bedding for 6 guests. We have a baby who doesn’t need a blanket and only had just enough for the 5 of us. But there wasn’t anymore for the colder nights. Also- a vacuum provided in the property would really help, we have young children and tried our best to keep the carpet clean but the broom provided just didn’t keep it clean enough. Everything else was great.

Family vacation
Property definitely needing updating. The chairs on balcony and table were gross and I didn’t want to sit on them because they were disgusting. Kitchen chair was broken. Brian family stay
We throughly enjoyed staying at the Pelican resort. There were a few issues, a lot of the outlets were not working so it was difficult to charge electronics such as iPads and phones. There was also not enough blankets/bedding for 6 guests. We have a baby who doesn’t need a blanket and only had just enough for the 5 of us. But there wasn’t anymore for the colder nights. Everything else was great.

Loved Pelican Beach! It’s busy and a little crowded at times but plenty of room in the ocean and it’s completely beach front! Condo 1717 needs some work though. None of the lights worked in the 2nd bedroom so my kids refused to stay in there. They all slept in the living room. It wasn’t super clean, like there were skittles left in the sofa bed and only a small blanket to use on that bed. My biggest issue was the electrical outlets not working in any of the bathrooms! Luckily I was the only female and just used the ones in the living room but I was annoying. For that much money, the lights and outlets should work!

Remove carpet in living area and replace with vinyl hardwoods. No coffee pot. Rusty shower rod.

Everywhere from the beautiful beaches the condo the three swimming pools and especially the tiki bar. I went down there with my wife and 3-year-old and the wife's parents and her two brothers there was plenty of room for us in the condo. Easy check in easy check out the cafeteria food was good and pricing was reasonable. If there was anything that I could change it would have been the cost of seating on the beach for chairs and umbrella and they weren't too expensive just an expense I didn't expect. We will be booking a condo at this place for many years to come

Everywhere from the beautiful beaches the condo the three swimming pools and especially the tiki bar. I loved almost everything about this condo. The view was nice, everything was clean, and it was spacious. I wasn't happy with the staff though. There was no blanket left for the sofa bed and when I called to get one, they refused to bring one. Also, the dishwasher didn't work and the nob in the bathtub was broke.

Great place, minor issues
My family of 5 had a great time. We stayed 6 nights. The only reason I gave it a 4 out of 5 stars were the beds and other minor issues. Beds were very uncomfortable. Also the screen door instantly broke off the hinges on the balcony as soon as we touched it. There are two elevators broken. We were told by staff they have been broken for over a year. I don’t know why this hasn’t been fixed but because of this, you will wait a long time for an elevator. Registration was a nightmare with only the 2 main elevators working and the line of people wanting to get on. Not to mention with COVID, people would like to keep a distance. Everything else was great.

Wonderful View
We really enjoyed our stay. You can’t beat the view, and the heated pools were a huge plus, which is why we chose this location. All the basics that you would need for a stay were provided. The only reason this is rated a 4 and not a 5 is because of the beds. They were extremely uncomfortable. Really weak pillows too. The headboard in the master bedroom was not attached to the bed and it banged up against the wall with every move we made. But we were able to overlook these things just based upon where we were. It was a good 4 days.
