This was a lovely and interesting property. Filled with new discoveries every day. We were disappointed that we could not build a fire the first days we were there. Wood was finally delivered, but not in time for us to enjoy the fireplace. We were also disappointed that we could not use the washing machine. Aside from these two issues we could not have been happier. The three children ages 6 to 12 loved exploring the grounds.

The house was great and we had a wonderful holiday! It looks just like the pictures and has a lot of New Mexican charm!A few things I think would be helpful to know:1. The owner lives next door and you would be sharing the washer/dryer with them. So we weren't able to use it when we needed to. Not a big issue for us, but an FYI.2. The Kiva fireplaces mentioned in the description are not in service right now. When we mentioned we were sad about that, the company was responsive and brought over a small fire pit for us, which I thought was so nice! But winter guests should be prepared.

Won't hesitate to stay here next time I am in Santa Fe. Cool house with plenty of room and easy access to pretty much everything.

This property was in a great location and overall clean. They did list it as three bedrooms, however the one “bedroom” downstairs had no window and opened up to a crawl space. We feel like the bathroom upstairs should mention that the door is glass meaning you barely have privacy. There needs to be more dishes and supplies (toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap). The plumbing is very old and makes a terrible squeaking sound every time the water is on. We also noticed how musty the place smelled when we first arrived, as if no one has been there in a long time (this went away after we had to air it out). lastly one of us spent an hour and a half sweeping the outdoor space so would would be able to use it.

We took my mom on a birthday trip to Santa Fe here. After much research and comparison, we decided that this home was our best option, and we were pleased with our decision! Highly recommend. The home itself is a work of art. If one is not reading from their vast library (seemed like art in the back room and travel/spirituality in the front), or staring at the art on the walls, one can watch the birds, lizards, and squirrels from a window or enjoy tea outside in one of the 4+ sitting areas at different levels in the backyard. There are areas to sit and talk as a group or disappear and have reflection time/read. We often ate breakfast outside in the cool air.Management is very responsive.Close to most things while still feeling private! The Plaza takes no time to get to (7-10 minutes depending on traffic). Old Taos Hwy practically gets you there once you exit the neighborhood. Take your pick from Natural Grocers, Trader Joe's, or Market Street nearby. Happens to be right in the middle, between Ojo Santa Fe and Ten Thousand Waves. Two considerations:Be wary in July, as it's Santa Fe's hottest month each year, because many Santa Fe/adobe homes use a built-in thermal process to cool homes rather than an A/C. This probably hasn't been an issue until recently. It was a surprise to us, and took a little getting used to. Federico said that and A/C is in the plan for the next year or so (TBD). It was not a deal breaker, as they supplied us with fans, and my hot-natured mom took the lower-level room (naturally cooler), while our friend Gina's bedroom had a door that opened to the upper-level terrace. The following would barely have been noticed by us, had it been just my wife and our friends. But, again, we were with my 75-year old mom and a friend who's had two back surgeries, so mobility is a consideration. There is no bedroom access without going up/down stairs. The lower level bedroom has about 8-10 steps, while the ot

We had a very nice time in Santa Fe. It is a beautiful place. The home is very unique and beautifully decorated. We were disappointed by the response to a roof leak in the TV room. Especially since the owner was aware of this problem. We are also disappointed by the 2 day allotment of trash bags etc. I understand this is specified in listing, however, this is not what we have experienced from other luxury stays. You can tell people have to purchase these items and leave behind for other people to use. This seems very stingy on a $700 a night stay.

Lovely place, abbreviated stay
We enjoyed Vista Encantada while we were there. The house is eclectic and charming - something interesting at every turn. The grounds are amazing with many patios and terraces - again something interesting at every turn. Unfortunately, there was a septic tank problem involving an extensive repair. So, we had to vacate the property only a few days into our stay. The property manager was great at trying to help find a different place for us and accommodating the change. I recommend the property and advise you to check the health of the septic tank!

We stayed here for a month in January/February and absolutely loved it. The photos don't do it justice! It's lovely, nicely furnished and large (we had 6 people all working remotely and it was super comfortable). The outdoor area is beautiful and we loved the variety of all the terraces. The neighborhood is quiet and great for long walks. Would absolutely recommend but especially for longer stays, it really did feel like home and we hope to return!

Delightful
My family and I had a wonderful experience staying at this property. it’s on a hilltop surrounded by nature, spectacular views of both dusk and dawn, and occasional wildlife spotting. The inside of the property was very spacious, comfortable, and accommodating for my family. Pictures do not do it justice. The layout is very unique and functional. The owner greeted us with kindness and always paid attention to any of our needs. There was a delicious, warm freshly baked chocolate chili cake waiting for us at check in personally made by the owner. Check in and check out was very easy. It’s an exciting yet relaxing place to vacation since there’s so much to do around Santa Fe or just lounge and rest at home. The outside patio was very big with several sitting spots/views. Property is quiet with no noisy neighbors. You practically feel like the whole hilltop is privately yours. wish we could’ve stayed longer and we were sad to leave. Definitely will have good memories of this place.
Thank you Banyan for everything!

We recently stayed here and absolutely loved it. It snowed most of the time we were there so we were not able to enjoy the beautiful terraces like we would have liked to. I bet it is beautiful in fall/spring. We loved the house though. Comfortable beds. House is very close to downtown — not walking distance, but very short drive.
Banyan is a wonderful host. Very attentive and even baked us a delicious spice cake. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to enjoy Santa Fe.

Wonderful experience and perfect distance to town and shopping. Neighborhood is quiet and found the home to be a lot more house than expected with 18+ beautiful terraces/patios. Clean, crisp and tidy home with beautiful design for a visiting interior designer/teacher. Tom greeted us and gave wonderful suggestions. Even though there was an issue with one of the bedrooms, accommodations were made that were above and beyond. We would recommend this property!

Beautiful and fun property with an equal host. Close to downtown, amazing outdoor spaces and terraces. Mid century modern in an adobe space, very comfortable and convenient for shopping at DeVargas mall and galleries, close to Rt.599 too.

Santa Fe for July 4 weekend
We enjoyed our stay at Banyan's home. He was very helpful with recommendations for things to do, restaurants, etc. We loved our white water rafting trip with Los Rios, hiking at Bandelier National Monument and Tent Rocks, Meow Wolf, Tinkertown...and of course exploring Santa Fe restaurants and museums. Beautiful location and a great family vacation!

perfect place to stay!
We loved every minute of our stay in Santa Fe. Banyan was the perfect host, and his home is more amazing than the pictures can capture. It is artistic, clean, spacious, and warm...perfect for what we needed. We enjoyed the town, but also enjoyed relaxing at this beautiful home with books and cozy sits by the fireplace. It was cold outside when we were there, but we want to return when it is warm to take advantage of all the gorgeous outdoor seating and spaces to explore outside on the property. Banyan was super responsive when we asked him any questions, and his suggestions for food and entertainment were spectacular. We will certainly come back.

Best find in Santa Fe
This property is incredible. Loved the outdoor fireplace and roof terrace. The views are stunning. Banyan is the most helpful and generous host. I can't say enough about our whole visit - even though I don't want to say MORE because we always want this home to be available for us. Ha! Book it when you can - well worth it.

Completely exceeded all my expectations! The pictures (as beautiful as they are) just don’t do the property justice! And, Banyan is an amazingly generous and gracious host. There were 6 of us and everyone was completely “wow-ed!” Thank you so much for the wonderful experience!

Amazing home located near Downtown Santa Fe
Great home close to town. About a 5minute drive into down town Santa Fe but it feels like you’re at a mountain retreat when you’re at the house.
The house sits on some land and perfectly landscaped. We spent free time outside & the kids loved exploring the grounds. We sat outside every night stargazing and chatting until we were ready for bed. The house fit 4 adults and two kids perfectly & we had an entire bedroom downstairs that we didn’t even use!
Banyan gave us some great recommendations for restaurants, sight seeing, shopping etc. Also, when we arrived he greeted us, showed us the entire property, had some treats waiting and answered all questions we had.
Book it!!!!!

Perfect Santa Fe Getaway
Our family was thrilled to stay at this fun and eclectic home. The owner Banyan was so kind and gracious and made sure we were connected with some of the best Santa Fe had to offer. Sunsets on the rooftop deck were a plus, along with outdoor dining on one of the many patios. There are so many great nooks in this home to enjoy a quiet book or a peaceful siesta. The art and style of the home gave us a perfect Santa Fe experience. I highly, highly recommend, and our family will definitely be back.

Delightful spacious home with beautiful tiered patios and large comfortable bedrooms. WOW
We stayed in this lovely split level in August and the home was perfect in so many ways. We loved the outdoor patios so much, we spent a lot of time out there visiting and especially enjoyed the lighted Japanese lanterns and lights scattered throughout the gardens. Most of the furniture, appliances and extras look brand new, like the place has just been built and you're the first guests. Beds were super comfortable with high end linens and roomy space for luggage. The kitchen was fairly well stocked except for a nonstick egg skillet and working ice maker. We ate several meals there. Banyon was a super host and brought us warm muffins, chipoltle butter and sparkling water for settling in after a long day of traveling. Located just a very short drive to the plaza (9 minutes?) and there isn't enough to say about Santa Fe. We spent one half day at the Ten Thousand Waves Spa perhaps 12 minutes from the house by car and had lovely panoramic views driving into the mountains up Artist's Road past the spa toward the ski resort (15 mile trek). Had marvelous meals in the La Fonda restaurant, the 10,000 Waves Restaurant and the cafe inside Sena Plaza. We bought drop dead gorgeous Chanel shawls at Zanadu's in the interior courtyard of Sena Plaza. All in all a wonderful time. If the altitude is giving you any fatigue, go to the Oxygen Spa off the plaza for a few minutes ($1 per minute) of O2.
If you are a light sleeper, choose the downstairs spacious queen bedroom. The full bath w shower will be up 1/2 level, but easy to manage. The other two bedrooms are upstairs and share a large bath with tub/shower. The master king bedroom is huge and lovely. The nearby AC makes some noise but if you turn it up it won't run much at night and the temp outside in the evening is cool even in August. The main level hallway lights, if turned on at night, will indirectly shine into the king bedroom's upper open windows. We solved this by having our friends use flashlights if they get up at night or turn on the kitchen or living room lights instead of the hall lights. An easy fix considering how many extras and wonderful pluses this house offers. Can't wait to come back next year.

Wonderful Santa Fe Retreat
My brother, my family and grand niece were looking forward to a nice getaway when we visited Santa Fe and this stay was beyond our expectations! We were greeted by our host Banyan and welcomed into the house with fresh muffins waiting for us in the kitchen. We had been traveling for awhile and this house has lots of space for us spread out and unwind. It was very clean and well furnished with lots of extras. The art work throughout the house was wonderful. The outside grounds are incredible with multiple patios and sitting areas...great places for morning coffee or grilling out on the patio. We most enjoyed watching the sun set from the roof top deck.
The owner was extremely helpful. During our stay, there were flash floods in the area and he called to make sure we were OK. Banyan helped us discover a wonderful, unique restaurant and made a reservations for us.
We felt like we were at our own private retreat. We'll definitely be back!

Enchanted retreat close to town!
Some friends and I came for a short vacation in Santa Fe, and we are so glad we found this amazing place! The house was impeccably clean with great amenities and a wonderful design with TONS of outdoor spaces!
We had an incredible stay at Muchas Piedras Retreat. Our host Banyan showed us around the property and gave us suggestions for dining, spas and entertainment. We ended up doing ALL that he suggested and loved every minute! One thing that stands out about this home is the attention to detail, from the bed linens down to the blue corn muffins with fresh local butter that were waiting for us upon our arrival. The house is funky, but in the most positive way. We loved grilling and dining outdoors and enjoyed hanging out in the retro 70's Kiva living room. The art is amazing and the home has a relaxing vibe. We enjoyed a cool morning walk to the Plaza (only 20 minutes away). The views of the sun setting and of the moon and stars from the rooftop patio each night were incredible.
We will be definitely be staying here again! Many thanks to our host Banyan!!

My new favorite Santa Fe getaway!
This home is a fabulous retreat full of magical vibes and creative energy. I spent a long weekend with friends and we had a wonderful time. The beds are luxurious, the light is beautiful and the artwork is inspiring. There is plenty of space for togetherness or solitude and lots to explore. The patios are amazing (there are many to choose from– even a rooftop location) for grilling and dining al fresco or enjoying a glass of wine. You can sunbathe or stargaze while surrounded by the piñon trees and bird calls. The location is super close to the plaza and an organic grocery store, making it easy to explore Santa Fe and gather provisions. Our host, Banyan was very accommodating and very quick to respond with any questions. I can’t wait to go back!
