We had such a nice time and loved the house. We enjoyed ping pong tournaments and hot tubbing. We want to come back in the summer.

By far the our best annual Thanksgiving weekend accommodations!! The view of the lake from the "cabin" was outstanding. Bedding on all the beds were beyond cozy. Always a bit weary of kitchenware to make our thanksgiving dinner but that was not a problem at Island Lake Estate. The outdoor hot tub was amazing. I tad complicated to get going, but instructions were very good. It was worth the effort. We all agreed it would be a wonderful property to spend some time at in summer. Communication with the owner was outstanding. I would highly recommend this Island Lake Estate to anyone.
THANK YOU Jenna and family for sharing!

The property was amazing! It was so quiet and the view of the lake was spectacular. My husband and I enjoyed walking down the road with the dog every morning and being surrounded by nature. We saw deer, turkeys, loons and more. This place is going on my favorites list.

We loved our time at Island Lake. We enjoyed the lake and the kids had a blast. The master bedroom was very comfortable. The wifi wasn't very strong but I knew that would be the case from previous reviewers. The worst part was all the fees. They charge per person and the fees essentially double the price. We found that the vacation was much pricier than expected.

It was all we had hoped for! Beautiful views, comfortable beds, plenty of onsite activities for adults and teens, a peaceful and private northwoods estate, and a pier and lake that seemed to be all our own. We especially enjoyed gathering for dinner each evening in the gazebo with pleasant breezes and the sound of loons!

Jenna was prompt with replies before booking and during our stay. Her property is gorgeous and extremely private. It was perfect for our large group of family just looking to relax and enjoy the lake with our dogs. So many opportunities to view wildlife in their natural habitat as well!

The property is lovely! It was the perfect setting to host our extended family as we celebrated my mother's birthday. There was plenty of room for everyone and so much to do. We particularly enjoyed the lake and large dock and some of the littles had the opportunity to catch their first fish. I would definitely book Island Lake Estate again.

It's been seven years since our first stay at Island Lake and we were really glad to be back. The fishing was terrific, the water was perfect for swimming and kayaking, and the quiet was a gift. There was plenty of room for our group of nine adults + pets. We look forward to returning.

We all loved the place. The pier/water is where we spent most of our time! But we also spent time playing Cornhole, horseshoes and axe throwing. Loved the gazebo for outdoor dining and the fire ring was awesome! The only real downside was that the place needs a deep dive in the cleaning department and I felt that having to bring your own toilet paper/paper towels was tacky considering what you paid per night. However, even given all that I'd still stay here again.

Great property
A wonderful stay on this peaceful lake. Jenna is a great communicator and very accommodating. This place really is a gem!

Quiet place
Selected the property because it looked secluded. Couldn't have been happier. Deer coming by rather frequently and loons not afraid of you on the lake. House was very nice and we loved the screened in gazebo! Just the spot we were looking for.

Best fishing experience
Great retreat, would of been better if all was in one building.

Family Vacation!
We had an amazing time, spending the week at this cottage. The lake was awesome for both swimming and fishing. Very serene and relaxing. Wildlife was abundant!

Tranquil location perfect for a quiet and calm getaway with friends.
All was great. The lake and surrounding forest was a perfect backdrop for a friends reunion. Lots to enjoy on the lake with paddle boards and boats (though we wished for life vests). Well-equipped kitchens. Room for leisure both indoors and out. The Annex loft was not usable for our group (10 middle-aged people - stairs were really steep) so unfortunately 1 person had to sleep on a couch. Also the water was not easily accessible for those with disabilities. Overall was a great experience.

This lake house is everything we could have wanted. It was spacious, comfortable, well-appointed, and rustic in interesting ways. But the highlight is the outdoors -- a big lawn slopes down to the lake where a large dock sits ready for all day play. We spent hours swimming, playing with paddleboards and floating toys, and using the canoe and rowboats also. A few of us fished, boating several respectable smallmouth bass. Others were more interested in watching birds (loons and cranes) by day, and amazing stars at night. The scenery is amazing. Lake is lined with pine trees and the house and yard are very private. A five-star visit in every way.

My family of 8 adults, one 6-year-old, and one 9-month-old had an incredible week at Island Lake Estate! The house is large enough and sound-proof enough to give each family privacy when needed. The common areas are large and plentiful when you want time together. We enjoyed the screened porch and gazebo for excellent lake views and wildlife-watching. This is an EXCELLENT property for swimming, with a huge dock and raft, clear water, and plenty of water toys. (Honestly, this is the best swimming situation we’ve come across in a rental property.) The lake is calm and private, and we loved paddle boarding across the lake to look at the eagles and their nest. The yard was perfect for games like bocce (included) and croquet. After dinner, we played cards in the main house or the bunk house. Keep in mind: the wifi is not strong (but why would you care if you’re trying to get away?), and the main house is rustic in the common areas. The air conditioning is from window units, which worked out fine, and the ceiling fans and box fans are plentiful, and we were very comfortable, even on hot days. Our only complaint was about the cleanliness of the floors and rugs and the dustiness of some of the decor. We vacuumed ourselves, which helped. Overall, we had an amazing time and would definitely come back!

The Best!
This was my family's second year at Island Estate and it was perfect, lots of room, beautiful lake and dock, and the eagles and deer, along with the lake loons were an added treat. Songs at the campfire and all day fishing, made our trip perfect. The swimming was great and the grounds were perfect for games. We couldn't ask for better to get away and relax. I only hope we can return next summer. Thanks Jenna

Hi Jenna , enjoyed your place very much! We had so much fun with the paddle boards and row boats.. The big pier is awesome! Loved the screen in pavilion! Fire pit a plus also. With that being said. I was disappointed that the loft house stove and dishwasher weren’t working as I purposely pick it to have two full kitchens and felt a discount would have been offered. It made breakfast and lunches and dinner a little chaotic cooking in one place.
There was a bit of a musty smell first walking in but once putting the air conditioning on it was ok. The refrigerator in the loft and the one in the 3 bedroom when first coming in both froze our food even when set correctly. Unfortunately we lost some food . My only other comment would be to have some hand towels and wash clothes would be nice. I also would mention in the description that you don’t suggest drinking the well water. That way you know upfront and prepare for it when you have a big group. Maybe a welcome book explaining a few things and also having the check out things that are needed to do would be nice with maybe the suggestions of what is in the area. Like groceries, good places to eat, etc. Also the waterfalls and hiking in the area and attractions. I say this because the cell phone reception and internet was spotty and couldn’t pull things up on our phones. So I couldn’t pull up my email explaining what was needed to do checking out. Maybe a few life vest for the row boats/paddle board would have been nice.
Overall a great quiet get away on a private lake with loons and eagles and good fishing!

This cabin is perfect if you are looking for a private, peaceful and relaxing vacation.
The large well maintained yard was ideal for sitting outside all day and the slope to the dock was manageable for my elderly father who spent hours fishing.
The property is home to a lot of wildlife. The eagles swooped by all day long and even landed on the dock for a visit.
If you are looking for a rustic up-north getaway with modern amenities, this place will not disappoint.
The host, Jenna was extremely responsive and helpful. I really appreciate that they shared their Island Lake Estate with us.

This was our second year in a row staying here and the property is nothing short of amazing ! The lake is very private and most importantly quiet. If big Largemouth bass and pike are something you like to catch then this place is for you. But the fun doesn't stop there, the kids loved swimming to the floating platform and cruising the lake on the standing paddle boards. The Gazebo was perfect for an evening meal or a good way to stay bug free. I could go on and on about this place but the bottom line is this place has it all if you like privacy and amazing views of wildlife. Oh yeah, the updated master bedroom is suuuper nice. My family and I will definitely be back !
