The neighborhood has many options for your food and drink experience. The room is clean and amazingly comfortable as well as efficient. It checks a lot of boxes. Quiet, clean, and an easy walk to several restaurants. If you take a 3rd party auto you can easily reach Madison Park, university district, and all the restaurants on Capital Hill. As a former long time Seattlelite this unassuming overnight accommodation offers all the Seattle experiences you would want.

Nice guest house with Scandinavian style. Soft foam mattress, generous firm pillows. Quiet safe neighborhood, sweetly located near the Arboretum and also the Lake Washington beaches. A little haven, especially if you also use the leafy back deck.

This property was so cute and comfortable. It had everything we needed. We were able to walk up the street and get yummy food and were also just blocks from Washington Park Arboretum. We stayed here on our first visit to Seattle and are glad that we did. The room is just what we needed and the owner has done a nice job of setting it up. Love the lighted electronic lockbox and the “library” and the simple but modern fixtures. It’s a pretty neighborhood and a short walk to a convenience store and several restaurants along with a bus line. We used Lyft a bunch to get to the main attractions in town too. Do not miss Washington park arboretum which you can walk to. Owner was super friendly, accommodating, and great to communicate with. Thanks for setting up the place for us.

Apartment is very clean and in a very nice neighborhood. If you have a car there is plenty of spaces to park. If you are relying on public transportation, the bus stops are close to the apartment, and reliable. If you are planning on walking you better be in shape!! The hills are steep and their are many of them. Overall great experience.

We stayed at this beautiful guesthouse for a weekend. Everything was clean and Andrew (our host) provided us with a set of instructions that included everything from house rules to a summary of the neighborhood (thanks for the warning about the steep streets btw). We would definitely consider renting this place again in the future.

I had a wonderful stay in this perfectly-sized rental! The accomodations were exceptionally clean and organized. I had no no problem settling in for a few days. A quick walk down the alley brought me each evening to a welcoming and comfortable place to reenergize for the next day of wandering. Would highly recommend, and if I get back out to Seattle, will definitely look to stay here again!

This studio was in the perfect Seattle location. Near public transportation, walk to park, restaurants. But it was quiet for a good night’s sleep, and serene clean modern studio to recharge after a full day of activities. Andrew is the ideal host, helpful when needed, unobtrusive when not. This will be our choice for our many trips to Seattle.

We thoroughly enjoyed our one-week stay with the most welcoming hosts. The light-filled space is perfect for two adults. The nearby Washington Arboretum was beautiful for daily exercise. We had lovely coffee at Café Flora which is a 5-minute walk away.

Wonderful neighbor base from which to explore Seattle
We have made many visits and stayed in five different communities within Seattle. All of those experiences have been good, but this stay in Madison Valley with Andrew as our host was fantastic.
First, Andrew was a thoughtful, available host before we booked, answering questions, and then before we arrived, answering yet more questions. Finally, he was flexible and patient dealing with requests related to our arrival and departure and neighborhood resources.
Second, the VRBO rental was exactly as represented: modern, spacious, clean, interesting. Beyond that, it is strategically located near two bus lines - we took the light rail from the airport and transferred on one bus line for our arrival. After that, we used the two bus lines to get to different parts of Seattle proper. The neighborhood was quiet and safe at all hours. We enjoyed our time in this garage apartment as we did with our Seattle explorations and visiting our local contacts.
Third and finally, there's nice resources nearby:
Restaurants that we liked included Cafe Flora and Arraya's.
Walking included Madrona Park and Madison Valley Park, both giving us access to Lake Washington.
Walking further afield, for 30 minutes, included heading into Capitol Hill (all uphill) and following Madison Avenue all the way to 4th Avenue to visit the downtown library, an architectural gem..
Our grocery runs were done at PCC Community Market, Safeway, and Bert's Market.
