The Neighborhood: The Mueller, Austin neighborhood was planned for a pedestrian, family-oriented lifestyle. In a city that relies heavily on car traffic, the community design instead encourages walking and biking around the small “town,” with plenty of trees and public green space. Parks and community gardens provide a place for kids (and dogs!) to run around and get plenty of exercise. The human-made lake and open-air amphitheater are open to the public and make excellent picnic sites. Every Sunday, a bustling farmer’s market welcomes growers and makers to peddle their goods. And families can visit one of two community pools to beat the summer heat. If you prefer to be indoors, take the kids to The Thinkery, a 40,000 square foot children’s museum dedicated to science, technology, engineering, art and math. Or head to the Alamo Drafthouse for a movie and a snack. Film buffs can also take classes at the Austin Film Studio Production Complex on E. 51st St. Getting Around: We recommend that guests rent a car during your stay in Austin as many of Austin’s best attractions and fun things to do are scattered around the city and much more convenient when accessed by car. While there are certainly public transportation options such as buses and individual transportation options such as scooters/bikes/mopeds, these options are mainly convenient and readily available around the downtown Austin area and quickly becomes sparse even a couple miles outside of city center. Rideshare apps such as Uber and Lyft are also great options but expenses can quickly add up as Austin rideshare rates are on the higher end and can surge very high during busy times, such as 2AM on weekends and during large events such as SXSW, conferences, F1, etc. Other Things to Note: ★★★ PRE-STAY GUEST VERIFICATION IS REQUIRED ★★★ To abide by all legal requirements and property security rules, you may be asked to provide a copy of your official government-issued photo ID, confirm your contact information, pass through our verification portal, and/or, in some instances, complete a criminal background check. Important note: The information is collected for screening and verification only and is not stored or used for any other purposes. Please be advised that all guests will be asked to sign a rental usage agreement that governs the terms of the stay. By completing the reservation you agree to the following: « You agree to be bound by our rental terms and conditions. « You acknowledge that you will be required to provide a copy of a valid government-issued ID prior to check-in. « You acknowledge that you may be required to undergo a background check if mandated by the property management company or the owner, as stated in accordance with your rental agreement and condition of the booking. « You understand that your check-in instructions might be withheld until you have successfully completed our verification portal. All guests are subject to verification checks and are required to provide the necessary information to us within 24 hours of booking. Same-day bookings are required to provide the information within 1 hour of booking. We reserve the right to cancel any reservation that does not meet our verification check criteria. ★ Other Things to Note ★ - Garage parking is only in non-reserved spots - We would love to welcome guests who book our apartment the same day of their arrival, but please be aware that your check-in may be a bit delayed (to as late as 7 pm) as we rush to prepare the unit for your arrival. Guests who book more than 24 hours in advance will be able to check-in by 4 pm. - We provide all of our guests a starter kit of consumables such as toilet paper, paper towels, laundry pods, dishwasher pods, etc. Guests can purchase any additional consumables from nearby grocery stores that you think you might need during your stay beyond what's included in the starter kit. - The apartment complex may run maintenance or clean the gym, and other shared amenities as they see fit at any time. Please be aware. The building that our apartment is in is off the main street. Parking will be in the underground garage below the building. More information on accessing the apartment will be provided before check-in day.
