I don’t usually take the time to leave a review, but this was such a disappointment that I felt it should share.
Good: the lobby and the front desk staff were great. The food in the lobby cafe was great. Such a great area.
Bad: we booked a two king bed and lugged all our stuff up a tiny elevator that we had to wait for ten minutes and then traverse through half the hotel hallways to take another elevator, to open the room to one king bed and a couch.
I had to wait for the elevators again to get back down and all they were able to provide was that room or a room with two queen beds. There is no way those beds were queen size. I will never use hotels.com again.

Old, worn-down Hotel.
Terrible layout; had to change elevators mid-way to get to my room.
Only one elevator per section, which was also occupied by staff (maintenance and house keeping).
I had to change rooms after the first night, due to maintenance issues.
Waited for hours before my room was ready after arrival, despite checking in the day before. Room ready at 19:00 local.
Good location, convenient, and friendly staff.
Hotel Lobby has been refurbished, which was nice.
Parking garage was very cramped, and limited. Also overpriced at $45 per night.
Generally very overpriced hotel, for its age, features, and layout.

The hotel is under renovation, and there are just 2 elevators from the main floor, on complete opposite ends, that are a bit small and slow. 2 people in our group had to take one elevator as far as it would go, then walk our and find another elevator to get to their floor. We were all spread out across the hotel despite having our rooms under one reservation.
Upon check in, 2 people in our group were given room keys for rooms that already had people staying in there. Super awkward to open the door to another couple lying in bed!! Another room in our group made the trek with her 2 kids up to the room to find her key didnt work and had to haul her 2 kids and their luggage back down to get a new key.
Parking is EXTREMELY CHALLENGING! We had large SUVs for our group and the parking garage had construction materials all over the place, the spots were pretty tight , had to do a 20 pt turn to get the vehicle into a spot.
Once we finally got into our rooms, we were very pleased with how large the rooms were. We all had reserved 2 king bed rooms and there was more than enough space in there.
The bathrooms were TINY! Couldn’t even open the door all the way before it hit the bathtub, hoping that is a part of construction, expanding the bathrooms.
We ate at the restaurant downstairs and it was very good, however one of our kids meals did not come out until everyone had finished eating.
The remodel looks like it is going to be very nice.

The staff at valet and check in were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the cookies at check in and the doggy treat bag. It felt like a 5 star experience all through the stay with text's to check in on us and to make sure we had everything we needed.

If I could give zero’s, I would. You would walk by a hand full of employees and not 1 word would be spoken. More concerned with laughing and goofing around. Had to take a magical journey to another dimension of hotel life to get to my room. 2 hotel elevator and 10 minutes of walking? I felt like I was in a slum. It smelled like febreeze covering up mold. Someone left a used tag in a chair in our room. The carpet was sticky. The bed was very well made. The concrete pad you called a mattress was a wonderful experience trying to sit up this morning. I will never return to that “resort” again. Hiltonhotels should fire every one of you except the 50ish year old black man. He worked every second he was at work. He never stopped. Give that man a raise.

Entry is at one end of hotel, but only elevator is clear at far end of hotel and is small and slow. Depending on room location you will need to trudge a couple hundred yards to elevator, wait a while then walk all the way back to room on you floor. No skis of boots allowed in hotel, concierge service available. Very nice entryway, but halls under construction, old, no ceiling, just wires and pipes. Have to walk through construction area to get to only elevator.

Parking was awful. Place might be ok but not until the construction is over

This is my fourth year staying here, and I have to admit that I was disappointed. The hotels location, being close to town and a few steps from the slopes are awesome. However, the hotel is being renovated, and I’m sure that when it’s complete it will be outstanding, but as it is the rate they are charging is waaay over priced.
The lobby is beautiful, but the rest of the building has a long way to go. We stayed on the 8th floor and the elevator broke down several times. We had to request things like towels and toilet paper several times, because maid service didn’t replace those items when they made up the room every morning. Then it took hours to get those things after making the request. The water pressure in the shower was really low, especially the hot water.
The hot tubs are not available because that area is being remodeled, which I understand. But they should mention that when booking.
The lack of a hotel shuttle is really unacceptable of a hotel in this price range. The walk into town isn’t bad, but the uphill walk coming back sucks!
The “ski concierge was new this year and worked very well. It was great not having to lug my skis to my room every evening.
I am planning on going back to Breckenridge again in about a month, but I will definitely look into staying somewhere else…at least until the renovations are complete.

Great location. Hotel is under construction and the elevator situation is a mess

This hotel is under remodel construction, yes the lobby looks pretty but the rest is a dirty mess. Not disclosed when booking. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else

The first two nights were fine. Nice room but on 7th floor in a hotel tower. I requested a lower room but could not get one. on the 3rd day (Saturday) the elevator to the 7th floor broke and no estimate to repair was given. I was in a health recovery mode, 80 years old, and unable to climb stairs; so I had no choice but to check out one day early. Great Location and I may use again.
The hotel was in a renovation mode, so some facilities were not available.

The hotel is under construction and has room for improvement. Confusing layout to navigate and 2 staff members directed us to incorrect towers and floors. Only a few tv channels. No one present to open the grab and go section in the AM, 20 mins after it was supposed to open. Not many amenities, expensive parking fee. Pros - early check in no problem, great menu/food at restaurant on site.

Lobby is great. Under construction, they should give free parking while under construction.

Stayed for one night as a family and felt very comfortable and welcomed. Lobby had games and an employee brought out a craft for my kids to do while we waited for our room to be ready. Nice free breakfast and offering of food and beverages for purchase. Beds were comfortable.

The hotel has great rooms and the staff is excellent. The only downside it is in renovation, but still is a good hotel to stay.

I am not one to leave comments. I know things happen and/or people have bad days, but this hotel is remodeling and i believe it should not be open. Parking is limited and a bit of a safety hazard. Rooms are outdated thus the remodeling. Second night there was no hot water. Luke warm would be pushing it. Breakfast, I had better while covid (brown bags given at front desk).

The place is under major construction. It not surprising it’s a dump. What is surprising is they still have people staying there and charging premium even in mud season. Without any warning, Sunday 6am construction started across the hall. Only After a tiraid of complaints did they put it off for a few hours.

Not so good. Hotel going through some renovations so hard to get to lobby. Building itself is dusty and due to construction in progress it smells everywhere. They charge $15 for parking. They didn’t proving housecleaning even after requesting before leaving the room.

under construction. should be closed. very unsafe. one poorly working elevator. bad breakfast, dirt everywhere.. OVERPRICED.AVOID AT ALL COST

The property was in various stages of construction so it would be unfair to rate the stay as a whole as being optimal. The staff in these circumstances was excellent!

Definitely not satisfied with this property.

The room with a single queen bed is incredibly small, resembling the size of a storage unit. It appears that the hotel is attempting to utilize space that would otherwise go to waste.
Furthermore, the overall condition of the hotel is deplorable. The carpet is worn, the hallways are dimly lit, there is virtually no lobby to speak of (what exists is hardly deserving of the name), and there is no functioning kitchen. To make matters worse, the building is currently undergoing renovations.
This falls far short of the standards one would expect from a Doubletree/Hilton property. Renting out a substandard hotel that is in the midst of renovations is highly disappointing and not in line with the quality typically associated with these brands.

The hotel is going throught renovations which I am sure will be nice when completed but the price should be reflected in the price.

Under renovation. The complementary bf is too limited
Worker traffic in the same section as guest traffic.

3 fire alarms. Manager handled it poorly. Guest had to call fire department to come check it out and see if all was clear.

Expedia is leading customers to believe that this is an upscale mountain resort and IT IS NOT! Because the hotel is under construction the pictures on the site ARE NOT the experience you are in for. The "Lobby" is a converted suite that is basically the convenience store, breakfast area, and staff breakroom all in one. If you are lucky enough to get a parking space in the garage (Maybe 30) don't plan on getting out easily. Otherwise, you have to park a 5-minute walk away and pay $45 a day. On top of this, when purchasing some snacks I overheard the front desk associate giving OUR room away. If I hadn't been standing there someone would have walked into my wife and I's room thinking it was theirs. No AC in any rooms, thin walls, and the smoke alarm went off from 7:30 pm until 9:30 pm on Sunda night. This is the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel all thanks to Expedia lying and displaying images of a hotel that was not operational. BAIT AND SWITCH!! I tried to discuss this with Expedia prior to going as the hotel emailed me after we booked our non-refundable room. They failed to offer any solutions to the matter. I was told I would be called and have not yet... Go elsewhere for your hotel accommodation!!

Property is under major construction which we knew about and still decided to stay however the hotel itself is extremely run down and dirty. The moment we stepped off the elevator to the rooms we smelled urine. Walls are filthy and torn up. Room furniture is from 1980, beds are old and hard. Windows are broken and toilet didnt flush.

This hotels is under a major renovation . I would not of stayed their if I new.

Did not know it was undergoing a major renovation until I had booked and paid. Kind of creepy entering the hotel through the garage with trash cans etc. at the doors. On two different occasions, employees got not elevators ahead of guests and just let the doors shut on us. Not the best hotel experience.

Stay away!. Hilton should be ashamed of itself.

This hotel is under renovation - really, it is reconstruction and is not an acceptable place to stay. It should not carry the Doubletree brand, much less Hilton. Exceptionally limited parking (we had to park up the street, no room in the tiny on-site garage), essentially no services, no functional air system in the room, main access halls incredibly dirty and smelly (used to be the service entrance).

This hotel is under construction for an upgrade, I’d stay clear.

The hotel is under renovation so everything was a bit chaotic. We didn’t know this when we made our reservations. It worked out but…
The location is very convenient to downtown Breckenridge. We were able to leave our car in the hotel garage and either walk or take the free bus each day.

This property is in the renovation process. There was no air conditioning in the room and toilet did not function properly. Parking is very limited and folks are forced to park nearby at a cost of $45.00 per night. The front desk person was willing to waive hotel's parking fee of $15.00 per night upon request. People I met in the hotel's elevator were constantly complaining about the condition of the property. This property is not up to standard and should consider closing during renovations. I will not stay here again.

Terrible. Hotel was under construction which we were not notified about until we arrived. Minimal parking on site that was full the evening of our arrival. Had to park at a public lot up the road and walk to the hotel. Our room number was given to several other guests while we were already inside the room. Very strange place. For the $ you can get a much nicer stay elsewhere. Highly disappointed

Under construction-entrance through parking garage into long filthy hallway and elevator-stuck in room that was dark with small window facing back of building. We asked for a room change twice but wouldn’t accompany. Pool and hot tub closed. Hallways carpet stained and walls dirty. Expectedly more from a Hilton property!!
