About this resort
Located on the southern shore of Indian Lake, Unit #4 is steps away from the shared beach front of Sunset View resort. Swim, boat, hike or just relax by the campfire taking in a sunset or starry night sky. Fish from your boat or shanty for northern pike, walleye, and perch. Enjoy easy access to miles of groomed trails for ATVing, snowmobiling and cross-country/snowshoeing trails. Resort amenities include a boat launch, dock, fire pits and grill area. Unit 4 can accommodate groups of 6 with its open space kitchen/dining/living area, three bedrooms and full bathroom. Sunset View is conveniently located to many UP attractions. Pictured Rocks, Fayette, Seney wildlife refuge to name a few. Discover the many waterfalls and/or lighthouses and don't forget Big Spring (Kitch-iti-kipi). The resort is 4 miles north of Manistique, a charming town that sits on the picturesque shoreline of Lake Michigan. Eat, shop or game at the nearby casino or enjoy a round of golf. Come and discover!

We booked this cabin for a week long ice fishing trip. We had no complaints about our stay with Kathy. Great location, right in the middle of all the action of the UP. Tons of lakes in the area to fish, as well as LBDN. We will most definitely try to get back up here!

Clean place. Comfy beds. Well stocked.... they have thought of everything. Beautiful lake. Property owners are absolutely amazing. They go above and beyond to make sure you have a great time. Thank you for everything. We will definetly be back!!!

Its always amazing staying here. We did the same trip but I think we enjoyed this one more and will be back next year for sure. Kathy and Larry are absolutely amazing and super helpful, friendly and accommodating. Cant wait to be back

First of all this is a duplex and did not say that in the description of the property. I would not have booked it if I had known that. The neighbors were extremely loud, you can hear every step they take. The main curtains on the door wall were sheer, practically see through. You could see out and people could see in, virtually no privacy. The beds were awful, practically motel quality. Way too firm. My only options were to pack up everything and leave which is extremely inconvenient already unpacked and had food in the fridge, either drive 2 hours out of my way on my honeymoon to get a mattress topper even more inconvenient because I shouldn’t have had to do that, or wait until the host shipped one which would arrive the day after we left, or combine them which we had done already, we had even piled all the blankets on one of the beds hoping to make a more comfortable barrier and it still didn’t work. So I just slept on the couch on my honeymoon and I was livid. I still am. Also not fun when the neighbors are loud and wake me up in the morning. There was a storm that came through and we lost WiFi for an entire day and data wasn’t working either. Front door also difficult to open and close.Otherwise the place was pleasant, the host left a gift of glasses and a bottle of wine when we arrived to congratulate us on our wedding. Very nice gesture and I had high hopes in the beginning. But it quickly went downhill. Not a very good honeymoon. I would look elsewhere if I were you.

We enjoyed this cabin very much. The view was great, sitting by the lake was refreshing and peaceful. We had some local family come over to eat dinner and the space was comfortable! Will likely come again in the next couple of years

The cabin was absolutely beautiful. Very clean. I loved the storytime area for kids. Lots of board games and card games to help everyone unplug from phones.
The nights were peaceful, and the night sky was clear. You can see more stars there. I enjoyed that.
The only issue was the property boundries. We couldn't walk the shore of the lake because the neighbors will complain. I understand their feelings and its nothing Kathy can control, still a bummer though.
All and all i liked it there.

Our hosts, Kathy and Larry, were so accommodating. They provided great nearby hiking locations, hosted a bonfire as we watched the sunset and gave us great ideas for local dining. The cottage was very clean, beautifully furnished, and we enjoyed having our coffee with a view of the beautiful lake. Our stay was everything we expected and more.

The pictures of this cabin don’t even do it justice. It is gorgeous, well decorated, and incredibly clean and well-stocked. It has a beautiful view of Indian Lake, and access to the waterfront between two other cabins. There was more than enough space for our family of four. Kathy and Larry are some of the nicest people I have ever met, and you can tell that they love renting out these cabins. They gave us lots of great advice on local attractions (they have a handmade binder of local attractions in the cabin that goes over everything possible for food and fun) that made our trip a hundred times better. It’s close to great spots— 10 minutes to Kitch-iti-kipi and about 45 minutes to Pictured Rocks. I wish we could have stayed longer, but we will be back. If you’re visiting the UP, you absolutely HAVE to stay here.

Me and my two sons had a lovely time and want to come back with my husband. It was very clean, had plenty of space for all of us, many comforts of home, and the advertisement about the sunset wasnt exaggerating. We also happened to go when the largest meteor shower of the year was happening and it was the perfect place to watch the stars while the breeze off the lake kept the bugs away. The owners were attentive and personalble. Overall it was the favorite stay location of everyone on our trip.

Kathy and Larry were wonderful hosts. Very knowledgeable about the area and gave great recommendations. Location is a perfect central location for many of the popular UP attractions. Cabin is spacious and welcoming!

Very nice place, clean, beautiful lake that was great for swimming. Very friendly property managers, that offered lots of suggestions on what to do and where to visit in the area. Nicely stocked kitchen (pots, pans, plates, etc.) Super relaxing and beautiful views. 10/10 would recommend.

Overall the cabin was great and everything we were looking for. If you plan on taking dogs I would beware of the neighbors. The listing states dogs are welcome but the neighbors will monitor you in the water and on land making sure your dog is on a leash at all time. They will come to the property, campfire, beach, etc. to check that animals are on leashes. Although this was a great place for dogs to hangout in the lake, I would refrain from taking animals as the neighbors were not supportive.

Check in was so easy. The owners are super nice and so helpful. The house is clean and has space to relax. Being near the water is the greatest part!

We recommend this property for those looking for a beautiful spot to relax and enjoy nature. The condo is clean and well-appointed, the hosts are friendly and accommodating and the view at sunset is spectacular. We can't wait to stay here again!

Facilities were very clean and location was excellent. Great views of the sunset and lake. Hosts were very accommodating, and even brought us hot barley beef soup when we came in from ice fishing. Looking forward to get back there.

Everything went as well as we could have hoped. The owners Larry and Kathy were awesome,they were friendly with great local knowledge. The accommodations were great 3 beds with plenty of space in the main area for gathering. The cabin was perfect to launch our snowmobiles for the annual ice fishing tournament. I honestly have no complaints. Enjoy the outdoors!

It was close to everything we needed and was in a beautiful spot. Very clean and had everything we needed. The fall foliage was stunning and the hosts were really wonderful. We would stay there again if we are up that way!!!

My family and I loved our stay at the Beach house in Manistique. The cabin was comfortable and well equipped. The hosts, Kathy and Larry, were so kind and provided many suggestions for daily adventures. We definitely plan on returning next year. We simply did not have enough time to enjoy everything the area has to offer!

We were lucky to book this cabin at the last minute due to a cancellation by someone else. Our hosts, Kathy and Larry, could not have been more friendly or helpful. Our cabin was spotless, nicely appointed and comfortable while still maintaining that "Northern Michigan" cabin vibe. We came to fish, see the sights and relax and were able to do everything we wanted to do easily. Hopefully we can return again soon!

Perfect Paradise!
This property was fantastic! It was a perfect location to see all the UP has to offer. The hosts were very gracious and excellent with communication. Kathy was very knowledgeable about the area and answered all questions we had. She gave great recommendations as well. The lake was warm and sandy. We would definitely book again!

Wonderful cottage
This is a wonderful home and setting. The home is comfortable and charming. It is on a peaceful lake and the hosts are super friendly and know the area really well. We wished that we had booked it for a few more days.

Great stay for kids
Very cute cabin by a lake. The cabin was cute and had everything we needed. They had extras like games and children's books. Lots of space to hangout together as well as 3 separate bedrooms. Easily slept 3 adults, 2 kids and 2 dogs. The owners put up a hammock right outside our door for my children (9 & 5) to help entertain them. There were two fire pits. A small private one on the beach and a larger community one. All wood was provided. The lake was gorgeous and the kids could get far out without it getting to deep for them. We didn't get a chance to use it but they also had kayaks and canoes you could use. It was an absolutely lovely stay with gorgeous views, our kids loved it!

Right on Indian Lake with a small private beach and beautiful sunsets. This was our first trip in over 2 years and we sure are glad we decided to stay here. My husband and one of his friends rented this property just for a little get away. It was fantastic!! The location is better then you could ask for and the hosts are absolutely wonderful people. We had a really nice time here and will definitely go back again

An Amazing Stay
The cabin was exactly as described, It was great. The best part however was the hospitality of the hosts. We came after an ice storm and they were constantly putting down sand and watching out for us. I recommend it to anyone looking for a place in the U.P.
