Northern Traditions - Deer Hollow and Loon Lodge; both cabins are listed on this website and are located adjacent to each other on the beautiful, 3300 acre Long Lake in Washburn county, the 'Walleye Capital of Wisconsin.' These well-appointed cabins provide a home away from home retreat without compromising any comforts. Deer Hollow has five bedrooms and three and a half baths; Loon Lodge has five bedrooms and three and a half baths. Each cabin has a full kitchen up and down. Cabins can be rented individually or together for the Wisconsin family vacation of a lifetime. The cabin comes with a Lund Boat with a 15 HP motor and trolling motor. ( Note docks and boats are out of the water by Oct 15 each year for winter.) If your traditional Wisconsin vacation has been threatened due to resorts going Condo or sold to private owners, Northern Traditions is your answer. Private three acre lot, log-cabin construction, large decks, spacious screened in porches, deep water docks, excellent fishing and water sports... these cabins were constructed with both the fishermen and the family in mind. This property is so clean, cozy, and well appointed. The house has everything you need to enjoy the beautiful lake and surrounding area. The beautiful fireplace and views are amazing. The new updates to the basement were enjoyed by all. Our family lives stating here and we are thankful to the family and property manager who make everything easy and enjoyable. Best cabin on Long Lake!

Northern Traditions cabin in Sarona is a place to go to get away & enjoy nature. The cabin was extremely spacious and very clean. We had 8 adults & 1 child and the three levels the cabin was perfect for us. The outdoor fire pit was one of our highlights of the trip. Our property manager Laurie was great o work with and we appreciated her help & knowledge. This is a place you'll want to go for a larger group of people. Thanks Rich & George for having a great log cabin.

First off, the location of the property is fantastic. Many bars/restaurants nearby and 15-20 minutes to more amenities if needed/wanted. We received helpful referrals and had a great time!
We were aware going in there were two units on this 3 acre property. It was not as clear to us that that meant there were shared amenities like the parking area, fire pit and docking areas. Weather was not the greatest so no real need for a fire outside but, in the summer, if it’s two different groups staying at the properties you may need to quickly get acquainted with your neighbors!
We likely did not read the details as closely as we should have up front but it’s important to know there are a few things not provided, such as: bath, kitchen or hand towels (or towels of any kind), no soap in bathrooms, no aluminum foil, parchment paper or storage bags of any kind. Just something to keep in mind. Plan to bring these types of things with you or plan to go do some shopping!
All in all, a great stay. Just need to be aware going in there are some shared amenities and plan to bring along several items to enjoy your stay!

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at Deer Hollow. It was as wonderful as the first time. Everything was very clean and well kept. The grounds are great. We enjoyed bonfires at night. The appliances were updated and there was new patio furniture in the screen house. I would encourage anyone to make this their vacation destination.

The cabin was great for our extended family to spend time together. Plenty of space to gather, and enough rooms to spread out. The cabin had everything we needed. The only thing was not being able to swim right at the shore but the sand bar nearby was a great place to take the little ones. Would love to go back!

What t perfect vacation week in a fantastic house!
The cabin has everything you need for a great vacation. Extremely clean( and I’m really picky about cleanliness!)and has everything you need or want. We cooked every meal , used the Weber charcoal grills, had night time campfires and s’mores.
We brought our own boat and enjoyed water sports and fishing on beautiful Long Lake. Will definitely be returning’
Lori the property manager is very friendly and welcoming and meets you at the cabin and answers any questions. Rich is very prompt
And helpful with reservations.

Everything about this vacation home is wonderful! They have everything you could possibly need there! Rich and Laurie are great to work with….We have stayed a couple times a few years back and this year they have updated many things which only keeps making it better! Thanks for everything! 😎

love this house and all it has to offer!! Such a great home away from home! The deer, the eagles, the boats,volleyball at the sandbar, golfing Butternut Hills and the lakeside bar/restaurants all provided our family a ton of fun! Thank you Long Lake and Northern Traditions!

Check in with Laurie was excellent. Dock space and parking space is a problem when all people staying at the property are fisherman with trucks and boats. Property is clean, neat, excellently maintained and more structured for a large family and relative vacation than just hosting fisherman. A gas grill would be nice in place of charcoal. The property itself is first class! The offsite parking for boat trailers arranged by Laurie worked well and we thank her.

Rich’s place is amazing!
The layout is perfect to accommodate a large group and there is plenty of space for those who want to relax and sleep-in as well as those heading out early to ride the trails. The morning sunrise and views are beautiful- even in February. This place checked all our boxes and we would definitely stay here again!

The cabin is spacious, comfortable, clean, and fully stocked. Everything needed for a home away from home for a group of friends. This has been our favorite property to stay at, and can't wait to return. The owner and the property manager are both very nice people and easy to get along with.

Spent a few nights over the holidays with my family. It was very cold out, and had a few minor issues that were managed and handled very well by Laurie, the property manager. Easy to communicate with. The home is very comfortable and inviting. Thank you.

Cabin was great and perfect for our group. Check in with Laurie was very east and she was great to work with, checking in during the week to make sure that we had everything that we needed. Will definitely stay here again!

The cabin itself is incredible, and the process was made extremely simple thanks in large part to the Property Manager. Google Maps took us to the wrong location, but she answered when I called and gave us very clear instructions on how to get back to where we needed to be.
She also welcomed us and showed us around, answered all our questions, and was a pleasure to get to know. Looking forward to booking this place again soon.

We enjoyed an excellent week at this gorgeous lake home! It has everything that is stated in the listing, along with beautiful views and a local property manager who is very attentive and helpful! We hope to stay here again.

We had a wonderful week away with our family! The cabin was beautiful, comfortable and spacious. The lake was gorgeous and peaceful. We brought our floaties and put them right in by the dock and enjoyed soaking up the sun.

Year #16 was extra special as our oldest son asked his girlfriend to marry him on the dock and it just shows how special this place is to our family. We can't say enough about the cabins, location, lake, the family that rents Loon Lodge the same week, the property manager (Laurie) and the owners! Thank you!!! Year #17 can't come soon enough!

This was the cleanest cabin we’ve ever rented! Laurie was super nice and was great with the check in process. Unfortunately it rained pretty much the whole time we were there.

Northern Traditions are beautiful properties. Our group always has a great time and look forward to our trip each year. We had great fishing and there are fantastic restaurants close by.

We love this beautiful cabin. We came for the Birkie ski race in 2019 and stayed here, so we were thrilled it was available again in 2022.

We had another great weekend staying at the northern tradition cabins, this was our third time staying and Everytime the cabin is awesome and the property manager Laurie is so much fun and easy to work with. I'm sure our group will be back again
