Northern Traditions - Deer Hollow and Loon Lodge; both cabins are listed on this website and are located adjacent to each other on the beautiful, 3300 acre Long Lake in Washburn county, the 'Walleye Capital of Wisconsin.' These well-appointed cabins provide a home away from home retreat without compromising any comforts. Deer Hollow has five bedrooms and three and a half baths; Loon Lodge has five bedrooms and three and a half baths. Each cabin has two full kitchens one up and one down. Cabins can be rented individually or together for the Wisconsin family vacation of a lifetime. If your traditional Wisconsin vacation has been threatened due to resorts going condo or sold to private owners, Northern Traditions is your answer. Private five acre lot, log-cabin construction, large decks, spacious screened in porches, deep water docks, excellent fishing and water sports... these cabins were constructed with both the fishermen and the family in mind. Each cabin comes with a Lund boat with 15HP motor and trolling motor. ( Note docks and boats are out of the water for winter by 10/15 each year.) Once again, we really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house! We have a large group that skis the Birkie and the house with its lakeside location makes for a perfect weekend for us!

The property is clean and well cared for. Enjoyed talking with the property manager. And it is a convenient location to at least seven bars with our ATVs.

Loon Lodge is beautifully situated on Long Lake. Lots of amenities - two kitchens, fish cleaning house, docks, lovely outdoor sitting areas, screened porch, etc. Kitchens are fully outfitted. We were hesitant about sharing the fire pit and fish house, but we only had neighbors for the last day and a half so no problem. Our family enjoyed the lodge and picturesque setting. Rich was easy to communicate with; we appreciate him and his family sharing such a treasure to renters.

This cabin will not disappoint. It was so homey and clean! My husband grew up on Long Lake and we love to go back when we can. The owners are so easy to work with.

Loon Lodge is a perfect place to gather with family and friends! It is a spacious, beautiful place set in the midst of Wisconsin’s north woods. Long Lake provides lots of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors! We’ll definitely be back again!

It was a great place to stay, very scenic, deer came into the yard a few times, Bald eagle did some fishing right in front of the dock. Place was bigger than I expected, lots of room.

The two Northern Tradition homes are beautiful and well maintained. The docks are excellent. We always have a great time and have been coming here for many years.

Our group has been to the cabin three times now and we absolutely love it! It is clean, the owner and management are wonderful with communication and the cabin layout makes it ideal for large groups. We love it and hope to make it an annual trip. Highly recommend!

This home and property is amazing - it felt like home from the moment walking in the door. The view is incredible with a wall of windows facing beautiful sunrises over the lake. The owner and property manager are top notch. Can't recommend this rental home enough!

The Loon Lodge, mild weather, and falling leaves were the perfect combo for a relaxing weekend with my 6 sisters. An abundance of space when we wanted to spread out, and plenty of comfortable seating for when we wanted to bond. An absolutely gorgeous home for any size group.

What a beautiful vacation rental. We rented this place for our annual girls weekend and we’re very pleased with most everything. My only advice to renters is that although the kitchen is very well stocked there are no spices, garbage liners or towels so come prepared. We were fortunate enough to meet Laurie the property manager and what a gem she is! She takes excellent care of that property and was available for us if we needed any little thing! Thank you Laurie for making us feel right at home!

This property is outstanding! The house is beautiful inside and out...very clean and well supplied with everything and more that you could possibly need. We enjoyed our evenings around the campfire with gorgeous views of Long Lake. Can't wait for a return trip!!

By far and away, the best property available for rent on Long Lake. Beautiful home and as clean as a whistle. Rich and Lauri are great hosts on a great lake. Highly recommended.

We have been coming here for over 15 years, and there is a reason. This place remains fantastic! Getting to spend a week here with my parents and family is usually one of the best weeks of the year and this year was no exception.

We've been staying at Loon Lodge for years and always find it to be clean and well maintained. One of the best locations on Long Lake. Once again able to use the fish house to clean the fish we caught and have an awesome fish fry.

Loon Lodge never disappoints. It has everything you need and more. We have been staying here since 2009. Thank you for sharing with our family each year to make more memories. I have been coming to Long Lake since I was a small child. Lauri is great to work with. See you next year.

Loon Lodge is an excellent “Up North “ property. The layout is very conducive for a large family gathering. There is a large deck over looking the lake ; screened in porch ; and a second kitchen in the basement came in very handy.
The fish house , fire pit, kids playground,and boat docks are shared with the next door property-Deer Hollow. (Same owner).
The master bedroom and joining bathroom was super for my wife and I.
The grandkids caught some Sunfish, Rock Bass, Crappies off the dock.The overall fishing was fair.
The grandkids enjoyed tubing behind a rented pontoon . There are several boat rentals on the lake.
The only criticism of our stay was the adjoining renters had a lot of unsupervised young children “ in our space”; we felt over run during their 4 day stay.
The other renters at Deer Hollow were very respectful.
If you have a very large group consider renting BOTH PROPERTIES
to have complete control of the property.
The owner called and discussed my concerns . He is VERY a attentive
and concerned about his renters concerns.
I would highly recommend this property as indicated.

This place is unbelievable. This is the 2nd year for us and certainly not the last. Although a little cold this year, our trip was another great one and we look forward to the next.

Four friends and I get together every year to play poker and catch up. The home was better than advertised. Very clean, well stocked, everything worked and close enough to towns to get supplies but far enough away from civilization too. We'll be back to rent again in the future!

The cabin was beautiful! Laurie, property manager was very welcoming. We had everything we needed, but I know Laurie would have been there for anything we needed or any questions. We had our extended family and room for all. It was great to have enough space so everyone could enjoy different activities. Thanks again Laurie and Rich! I will keep the property in mind for future vacations!
